What’s disrespectful is the niche houses charging 100s of dollars for fragrances that are poor in performance or designer houses making flankers every 6 months to a year. We’re at the point where fragrances are coming out faster than cell phones.

It seems as if the only "clone" issue folks have is with fragrances. Indie or clone houses, but the big Fragrance houses clone each other, Car companies, clothing etc ad nauseous. I have over 200+ niche bottles, about 20 clones and all that matters to me is the juice. And a thought, who is truly the the bad guy here if someone can produce a fragrance that is 90% to spot on to the original at a fraction of the cost. You have to act your wage.

Clones are HERE TO STAY. I can write 2 paragraphs. But one thing about it. Those big dawg reviewers talk shit about clones. But then you look up they talking about clones now. THEY CANT STOP THE WAVE. BT you a young man. You got plenty of time to grow. Im day one BT Gang an your growth has gotten crazy! Soon you'll be buying big boy Niche an reviewing them.. When clones weren't very good in terms of quality, closeness to the dna and performance nobody was talking about disrespect. If anything putting a sh!t version out if somebody else's work is worse than getting close or bettering it.
The fact of the matter is clones aren't the problem it's peoples ego becauae they can't spray aventus for eglxample to let ppl know they balling without letting them know they balling. Their subtle flex has been taken from them

Ooh love that you’re talking about this and love your take on this!! As someone who used to spend so much buying dupes/second pick frags and a few clones, I realized I could have had several high end niche frags that I loved rather than a wide range of frags I just wasn’t as excited about.
You bring up a lot of good points. Loved the vid and hearing your opinion so thank you!

@@ellieborchardt I agree , especially when it comes to the sampling part , I feel like fragrances are a rabbit hole , and clones make the hole even bigger , when you could just get a sample or buy the original with the amount that you’ve spent on clones , appreciate you watching , keep up the good work 👍🏾

Nah fr personally I'm not wealthy either but i love this hobby and i want to smell good matter of fact my Mawj Appletini just got delivered today and i couldn't be more excited for it even tho I don't care for the By Killian as much. Theres always gonna be space for clones and I'm perfectly fine with that and these brands gonna have to be fine with it too. Love the content BT

    Here’s a hot take.
There’s no such thing as a clone fragrance.
    Let’s make it stick.
Also, to be fair, the clones/inspired by fragrances cause me to get bottles of the originals just as much as the clones.
Alexandria - Godfather for example, made me blind buy Baraonda - by nasomatto .
They are different enough that I plan on staying stocked with both.

Tres nuit caused me to go pay 250$CAD for the real GIT cause I enjoyed how it smelt, and I was very happy I did. GIT performs alot better and smells richer and higher quality and requires a couple less sprays but it costs 10x more than tres nuit, but if the quality and better projection and the fact you get to use less sprays matters to you then its worth paying 10x more

I love your take on this topic. For most other reviewers, especially “clone reviewers” they literally say clones are always better, niche aren’t good, overpriced and blah blah. TBH, most niche are overpriced IMO, however, most are better SMELLING than their clone counter parts and the clones usually last longer. Many niche houses actually clone the scent profile of designers(Percival cloned Mont Blanc legend). Some of us are not in to the whole Art thing and industry, we just want to smell nice and that’s it. We don’t care for huge brands as they don’t care for us. I personally try to test and experience different brands and levels of frag as it’s how I want to go about it, however, if someone wants to use just niche, designer or Middle Easterns, it’s their choice and all should respect each others decision. Most niche I’ve tried are decants and I have no intention in getting a full bottle of most.

I believe clones a lot of times make people buy the original because people be like “if the clone is this good I should get the original” I will say though the clone marker used to be only popular fragrances but now most niche and even designer fragrances are starting to get cloned. I reserve getting clones for super expensive fragrances most times I try to stick with the original. But the clone market has definitely open up my taste and was able to experience DNA’s I otherwise wouldn’t be able to

Even certain clones are like $60-$70 now so for the price of 2-3 clones you can get the O.G which just have a certain magic to them. But its good that people can have access to niche scent profiles for a affordable price especially those who are from countries where salaries are much lower then the Western World.

  • @wheresthepillow8416
    @wheresthepillow8416 Před měsícem +1

Haha! I also agree with your feelings that smelling good for cheaper should be accessible to to other people! and I don't blame fragrance snobs for being mad at the clone community when they're paying full price to smell like something and I also loved your take on clone houses that they not only make good fragrances more accessible for people who can't afford them, but it can challenge these designer and niche houses to innovate more, and gives these expensive houses a run for their money, and lots of the time people are paying full price only for the name rather than the quality and smell, and this can be applied to clothing and other stuff - from a broke college student.

  • @thelilbabyjunior

I think sometimes clones or inspired fragrances can be not very tasteful. Especially in scenarios when they copy the bottle and make it 1 to 1. I can see why that could be "disrespectful".
Ultimately, fragrances are inspired from other fragrances. That is what is important as it allows everyone to have the same experience.

First off BT, salute for being a wrestling fan, so am i! Actually speaking of wrestling, fragrances are a lot like wrestlers when you think about it. Take Hangman Page for instance, his finish is the BuckShot Lariat, lets just call it club de nuit intense man, but before he came along there was a wrestler names Elix Skipper who done that move ages ago, so we can call him Creed Aventus😂 basically what I'm saying is even tho theres an original out there some one will always come along and make a clone, it just may come in a different presentation 😂

Let's be real. The onle clone houses that there is a problem with are the Middle-eastern houses.
No one complains about Dua, Alexandria, Parfums Vintage. All if which are mainly clone houses, but they're from the west.
Heck even designers clone designers, designers clone niche, niche clone niche, niche clone designers...
So let's not get it twisted, this is an East vs West thing.
If clones were that bad, ALL companies doing it should be called out... not just Middle-Eastern companies

They charging 100$ plus make it special so it can’t be cloned. Until then I’m rockin wit the clones unless it’s something really special and worth the high price

Personally I think clones are disrespectful, but not from the consumer, from the manufacturer. A lot of times CZcams or other platforms are the only ways that the average person would know that the scent/dna was cloned. People just want to smell good for the budget they have and as you get more stable financially then you’ll go with the original/niche because of the better blends, longevity, and projection
