    It is a near tragedy that we do not have high quality recordings of these geniuses.
    Even in this poor quality recording, one can make out the mind blowing voice modulations.
    Just imagine how this would have sounded in real life.
    I feel like all of us new generation should pay attention to the use of the voice by listening to these greats.

      indeed.At the same time in the present scenerio we are not having such real,genuine performing artists, but we are having superb digital systems of recording. is it a tragedy or fun?

    What a beauty... On few minutes of raagalapam he brought the whole gist of this great raagam. There is magic between 3:30 to 4:30.. and then the raagalapanam is followed by a beautiful rendition of the great Thyagaraja kruthi and some fantastic Kalpana swaras.

      I don't thin that is Semmangudi Mama in that section you mention - he gives his sishya the mike as he was wont to do - can't tell who it is. It's not TMT, maybe PSN or V Rajamoni. It is really well done as you point out, sangathis fall clearly and crisply and follow the guru's style!

      @@maheshram7844 ☺️ will check again.. it's an old rendition and the nasal tone was woven into that. So I assumed it must be he himself.. but what a phrase.. have copied it ☺️ for further use..

      To me it's unmistakable his sound, albeit much younger that what we are used to. And I think it's an AIR concert.

      @@sajithpallippuram7433 I am really quite sure 4+ decades of listening to Mama including many live concerts and innumerable recordings, very sure that is a sishya in that section. I will ask others to ID the voice. But it is his bani, his stamp on the whole thing. Was there ever a bigger banyan tree than Mama for teaching?

      @@maheshram7844 you will be right.. thanks pl do find and let me know.. . Both my gurus were trained directly by him and he has an absolutely iron grip on the structure of the keerthanam - as how it should be. And I have experienced that, while trying to make any variations ☺️
