He came home one day and was having difficulty swallowing. 2 weeks later hee was diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer. He passed away 4 years later.

Listening to this song gives me so much nostalgia from when I watched this movie in theaters. No joke, the first several minutes after it finished and I walked out, I felt like I was transported to a different world and became a different girl. I can’t express it exactly into words. It was as if the atmosphere of the movie’s world bled into mine.
This adaptation added so much things yet removed so much small precious moments from the original. Like, in the original it was the Beast who admitted in such a sad tone that he loves Belle, but in the adaptation Mrs. Potts said it... I audibly sighed and shook my head when that moment came in the adaptation. So the adaptation, to me, stands roughly on equal footing to the original for adding so much gorgeous things to it (Like Prince Adam’s backstory and Belle’s backstory) that I never knew I wanted... yet removed things and moments from the original that have equal amounts of importance to me. Personally, movies are drastically separate but I love them both the same. I’ll make a mental note to watch both movies at least twice every year.
I remember I was in 5th grade. I was in the back of the classroom on my computer with headphones in my ears. I clicked on this song and tried not to cry as I thought of what would happen after school. The 3 car ride to my grandma's casket viewing before her funeral. I'm entering 11th grade soon grandma :) to me, this song will forever be yours. We miss you and I'll never forget you

My dad fell into alcoholism and drug abuse and passed away in 2022. This song always makes me think of how he and Mama where like when I was little. He was a good man he just got lost in his own grief.
