If you want to do poison, it is important to know there is normal poison and strong/deadly poison, with strong poison doing roughly double the poison damage, if I believe. Nothing talks about this in game for some reason, but one weapon I know that does strong poison is the SerpentBone Blade Katana.
this is true, however, the duration of the poison is about half so it is a trade off depending on the length of the fight

I don’t think it’s more damage, I’m pretty sure it’s the same as a regular poison proc, the difference being it’s doing the damage faster.

Put the highland axe in your off hand because it buffs roar attacks. Then you can deal more damage with charged attacks. Then also get the roar medallion and do those cool charged heavies
it would hurt his equip load which slows his rolls. i’d imagine he needs to dodge as much as possible and as fast as possible
Love to see the Jev level 1 run continue! Also the axe talisman and spiked cracked tear are just to boost your charged attack regular damage. Poise damage aka stance damage is something else.
The zweihander deals "39.6 Stance damage" per 2h Charged R2. so by using R2s mainly you can deal the extra damage to boss hp and a lot of stance damage to the bosses hidden stance hp bar. Most bosses have anywhere from hidden 80-120 stance HP (margit has 80 - godfrey has 120)
Which means to break their stance and get that juicy riposte it would take around 3-4 charged r2s. you have to be quick with them because bosses slowly regenerate stance hp so the faster you are with the charged r2s the more likely you will be to break their stances! Good luck brother 🫡

You should pick up the ritual shield talisman in the Capital as soon as you're able as it will reduce damage taken by a third while at full health. Very helpful for RL1

If you wanna something good for your poison build get the poison moth flight ashe of war its great burst damage (it takes all the poison damage they would take overtime and deals it in a big chunk)

if your going with that specific colossal sword, i recommend eventually putting bleed on it because if im right it does some crazy bleed proc. Also if you do fight melania, use freeze pots to cancel waterfowl makes the fight so much easier

May I recommend Great Stars great hammer? I used it during my RL1 run with a fire infusion, with its bleed and stance damage, it carried me, even made Malenia a push-over

You could definitely grab Royal Knights Resolve (Increases your weapon damage by 80% for your next attack and lasts 10 seconds) ash of war while you are at volcano manor for your charged attack build. Perhaps infuse it with poison after getting the corresponding whetblade that does that. For now you could find and use the Determination ash of war in Limgrave which is the same as Royal Knight's Resolve but increases your damage by 60% instead of 80% for your next attack.

Jev you could easily get Golden Vow ash of war from a knight riding a horse North East from the Warmaster's Shack and have it on a dagger to apply it quickly for more damage and bit more defence before boss fights. Great videos btw.

I’m not sure if you already know this, but only after I did my level 1 run did I remember about the ritual shield talisman. I bet that would help out so much with getting 1 shot in the endgame.

You could also use the Claymore inside of Castle Morne. It has Lions Claw and is a little more forgiving with the stamina.

I’d recommend just running a standard infusion for more damage because you can’t build up an enemy’s poison meter while you have it already procced on them, so the poison ash of war coating on your weapon and the cloud is more than enough to get it to proc. Standard infusion will give you more damage for the entire fight, only downside is it will take slightly longer to proc poison, but with how much the skill already builds it up it’s hardly an issue.
Can't wait for the elden ring lvl 1 ragetage :D

If you want to stack more damage, there is a golden vow as of war instead of the incantation version that you can slap onto anything like a dagger and get that buff plus damage reduction. Not as good as the incantation version, but still great

Jev, if you get the Godrick's great rune you get a +5 in every stat bringing your endurance up to 20 for light rolls again with the axe tali, if you want it.

There’s one poison build in the game I feel like you would have fun with. There’s a weapon called Venomous Fang in a cave in Caelid, and it applies deadly poison (which is a poison that deals double damage per tick but lasts for 1/3 of the time, compared); the funny thing about this weapons is that, if you apply a poison affinity on it, the weapon now applies what I call “deadlier poison” which has attributes from both poisons (double damage of deadly but the longer duration of regular). It’s also just a funny weapon!

The difference between light and medium load is so minuscule and will rarely make a difference in dodging attacks
