- When I sold this trailer, I never thought I'd see it again, other than in some instagram posts. But now, all these years later, it's hooked to my truck again! Back when I had my heavy haul company in California, I custom ordered this @bwsmanufacturing trailer to exactly the specs I wanted, and waited many months for it to be built and delivered. I was an awesome trailer, and easily the handiest trailer I've ever pulled, but due to a change in my workload, I had to sell it and switch to a @TrailKingIndustries sliding axle to meet the contract requirements of one of my customers, which was also a great trailer.
So I sold the BWS trailer to someone up in Oregon in a land far away, not knowing that years later I'd move to the same town

But... You never explained how the trailer crabs like it has steering, without actually having steering...
It used a process called FM..
Still doesn't splain it?
@@elwoodwatson9906 Fucking Magic!
@@CaseyLaDelle CaseyLADelle 2023 "I used a process called FM - Fucking Magic!"
I'd guess the center trailer axle is slightly lower - he did say he modified something to make it crab.
This is the kind of video that can get the younger generations interested in the industry. There's so much more available than just dragging a box.
one of the problems now is the ridiculous cost and massive time consumption to get a CDL
Yes but getting off their gamer chair and into a real truck seat, Standing outside in the rain or even getting their hands dirty would be the real challenge for many.
@@indianbill3123 I think you'll find plenty of trucking companies that offer paid CDL training.
@@indianbill3123 watch trucking company ads they'll pay for your CDL you can become a professional truck driver in 3-4 weeks depending on the company probably quicker if you only drive 2 pedal trucks without that big rod in the way of getting a fat lizard in the bunk
@@davidwoermansr I must admit fat lizards are the big draw for me!
Rusty is deeply involved in everything you're doing. 😄
Casey didn't actually design anything, Rusty is feeding him specs as he goes.
@@UmmmmmmmWhat Sure Sherlock..
Nice! I was very happy when the boss was going to buy a new trailer for trusses. I told him what would work best for us and he listened. After a few little add ons, it really worked perfectly for us. I was very happy with it and it did its job really well. So yes, when you know what you need for your job, it really makes sense to spec what will really work.
Knew exactly what you needed and made it a reality
I’m an almost 81 year old female and I found this really interesting. Wow, the things I learn on CZcams that I will never use! 😊 🇨🇦
Me too!😊
I'm only a few years younger though☺️!
I’m 71 years old and I love it too. I’ve always loved cars and trucks so watching this stuff is absolutely amazing. Makes me want to go back and be younger and become a tow truck driver one big rig driver.
Nice to learn how and why trailers are designed the way they are. You did a great job with that one, but, know that it isn't perfect and you have the experience of time to make adjustments to a new trailer that you could have custom built.
Awesome trailer...only thing it's missing is lug spikes just to piss the haters off!
Casey is one heck of a driver.. I'm still waiting to see if there's anything you can't do.. I'm in awe
From an engineer's perspective, I love the thought that went into this. This thing is built like a tank, and years later it's still holding up quite nicely. Would truly love to see you and BDS team up again and create Cascade Trailer 2.0 with you taking what you've learned over the years of hauling and combining new advances in materials and technology.
That’s a very unique trailer. I have lowboys, landolls, step decks and flat beds. I can tell that would be super versatile. Great video man.
A Swiss Army Knife of trailers..
I'm impressed
We learn more and more about you and where you came from before youtube and the offroad recovery.
VERY COOL
THANKS for sharing
Wow! Never seen anything like it! Definitely the Swiss Army knife of semitrailers. Always learn something new here. The Casey LaDelle channel is like the proverbial box of chocolates 🙂
Very nice trailer setup. I have a buddy here in Ontario Canada that has a trailer built by the same company. His looks alot like yours but his uses hydraulic cyclinders to control the flip up deck front, the ramps and the beaver tail has the ability to raise to the flat position to create more deck space. Hes also got a low deck trailer that expands and contracts to carry a 53' semi box trailer without being over height.
Its always amazing to see what everyone comes up with to haul different things.
I love that there is a whole world of things I know nothing about. I have no idea what the hell you are talking about, but I’m loving every minute of it!
as a former heavy truck engineer, i can only say this video was awesomely entertaining. I never considered what gets towed behind the big hulkin machines I helped design.
Also I didnt expect a video about a trailer to be that exciting!
Can't wait to see what videos are in store with the new truck ,oh the shenanigans.
I admire the thought that went into that trailer. Not nearly at the same scale as you, but I have a 7x12 utility trailer that I consider the best "Tool" I've ever bought. I've set it up to haul upto 14 kayaks, lumber, landscaping materials, compact tractors, firewood, yard and demo debris, appliances, mowers, ATV's/UTV's, etc. Multi-functional, and can be converted from one function to the next without any tools. The right trailer can be extremely useful.
I love the dog at the beginning of the video. He is saying, “Pet me damnit!”
Good thing you have so many good friends in the business. That trailer's hardly a cheap piece of equipment to just be loaning out. Looking forward to when the new tow bed arrives for your new truck!
Trailer is from New Brunswick cool 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Darn it I didn’t wanna learn anything today either but I like trailers too 😎
BWS is made in my hometown, Centerville New Brunswick Canada! I worked there many years ago!
Bernies welding shop,Centerville New Brunswick,2 hours from where i live. They are still building trailers and dot snow plows and sanders and dump bodies,I took a tour of there factory when I took a new truck them to have a plow put it.
I gotta give it to u Casey your mind is amazing with the way u think out how u want something prepared
I always admire the way u keep your binders neat no matter what u using
That ramp for the upper deck was pretty damn slick
Having the right tools for the job makes a huge difference. You have the knowledge to spec things out correctly and do a good job fabricating stuff if necessary. Of course good tools only go so far. You also know how to use them to get work done quickly and safely. I enjoy your channel as I have had to do similar things running an electrical contracting business and helping my brother with his towing company. Keep rocking and be safe out there!
That’s 1 well thought out trailer! Hope U get 2 spec out a new 1! Good luck, Casey! 👍🙏❤️
It's amazing what you learn about a tool from years of using it.
Amazing how detailed oriented you are ❣️I love listening to you with all the details...help this dum girl understand why...Thank you
The changes you had made to their design are certainly brilliant, especially for a young man. You bought your truck and started out younger than a most in this industry. If I remember correctly you had a grandfather that helped teach you a lot. I think I’m correct. I have built my own trailers but a lot smaller, made my own improvements. So this was very interesting to me.
It’s always fun going down memory lane with you Casey!! The 830R trailer lives so close to you. And how mean to learn all the custom specs you built it with. So cool to see the old Blue Smurf truck footage.
I see the red & white ford in the back round I sure like that old truck
Thanks. Once again, you do have an effective way of making your presentation. Always learn something interesting.
43' wow that's really short. I just sold my trail Eze TE80XT. L9ved that trailer. Long ramp for scissor lifts and 8°° load angle. Could load anything. With tri axle truck was permitted for 98 000 and got single trip for anything Over rhst. Hauled for united mostly. But equipt share pape all the rental companies in greater Portland Washington area. Even moved a lot of equipt for crane company. Couldn't dream of a smaller wagon. 48' was perfect. Especially when hauling rental gear. 43 wouldn't be long enough for multiple piece pick up. Anyway. Great trailer design. Like how everything was air instead of hydraulic. Kinda neat. Obviously now I'm running 1150 rotator for Ricky. The one you were going to deliver. Look forward to meeting and doing some things. Great Job.
That is one cool trailer!! I love that the individual airbags on that thing lets you drag axles sideways around turns! Brilliant way to steer it!! One of the best videos in quite a while!! Loved it!! Thanks for sharing!! Best regards from Norway! Norslep here in Norway uses kinda the same prinsiple on some of their Trio Trailers and long multi axle Semi dump trailers.
I wasn't a follower of yours on Instagram and I'm just going to say that the Cascade Heavy Rescue name has made much more sense over the last several videos lol
I have to smile at Rusty - "Dad, you're down at my level, pay attention to me"
That trailer is sweet and extremely useful!!!
Pretty well engineered trailer having worked so hard all it's life and not cracked out all over the place !! I love multi use things like the skid steers and this trailer is right up there with the same versatility ...
Nice multi-function trailer, I could have used that many, many times over the years.
It's getting harder and harder to find a good heavy haul company. I appreciate your experience.
Awesome trailer
All the old videos get a great job showing how well you had it light out. It also shows how well used it has been over the years. So you must have done it, right
For a self confessed numnut, you are actually a lot more smart than so many other operators out there. Keep up the good work Sir.
Hell yes , damn nice trailer for sure! You definitely got that right Casey! 👍
Sorry, I should have added, your explanations make someone like me saying. . .”yeah. . .that make PERFECT sense!” Well played.
Now this is one really cool trailer!
Casey, I’m really proud and happy that I found your channel. I really appreciate what you do for others at no charge. I can’t believe it. I do watch a guy in Florida who mows lawns for people that haven’t had their lawn mowed for so long that it’s over your head and he does it for free as well just because he’s a CZcamsr but I worry about you with your medical condition. I hope to goodness You’re doing OK and by wearing that bag I just kind of got a suspicion that you’ve had prostate cancer and I hope to goodness if that’s the truth if that’s it anyways, I hope you’re doing well and I hope you’ve been given a clean bill of health. I do know if I was your better half I would be on you for slowing down and not doing some of the tricks that you do no wonder your wife is probably going to turn gray in no time for the things that you do worrying about you but take it easy kid. You’re too good of a guy to hurt yourself when you’ve already got enough problems as it is I hope you’re doing well. Be praying for you you’re the greatest
Like the trailer now you have had it and tested over the years, mode it the new way you explained.
Very useful trailer. I can't wait to see an improved version of it behind your truck. 👍😀👍
What a versatile trailer. You did a great job specking it and I know your next one will be even better. Instead of an R they should have used a C for Casey's custom trailer.
I hope you get the rollback back soon and they fixed it correctly this time so you don't have any more issues.
Cool trailer you designed there Casey
In my previous life, working in the oil fields, I find your videos so awesome! Thank You!
Trailers don't impress me much but that is a badass trailer! Good job man.
Hi Rusty. Good boy.
The ramp switch…I completely understand, anyone who doesn’t is probably normal but will never know the satisfaction of doing a job with the absolute minimum of fuss or wasted motion…
I want to maximize my laziness
Chains and Binders and Ropes, Oh My!
Rusty cameo!! Always a good video with happy Rusty!
Put as many tools in your tool box as you can. Being versatile with a piece of equipment is how to make money.
Nice trailer Casey.
Thank you for not saying what most people do about snap binders, just that you have issues with them. When used properly and with safety in mind (no pipe, winch bar with snap binder end) they are safe and can actually be quicker then rachet binders. I use both kinds as flatbed/stepdeck driver.
Wow.. I never thought a trailer could be so interesting. lol Hope they called you back for the job. Thanks for the video
Fascinating stuff, beautifully explained. As an engineer with no knowledge of heavy haul that was a treat. I too would love to know how it crabs.
Wow, that was pretty amazing trailer!
Having worked in structural engineering in CA, P15 loads were the standard and are pretty ridiculous vs typical loads. When working on Hauser, I really couldn't imagine a P15 making it there but we still had to design around them.
Wish I knew when we were both living in good ol Cali I would have loved working for you. This trailer is awesome and your mind in designing it is amazing. Good on ya man. Damn smart. Great video thanks for sharing.
Very cool designs. Clearly, you put a ton of thought into it before having it built.
this is cool how you explain what your doing and thought process is. your very knowledgable. it makes your channel very interesting.
Nicely done Casey, I sure could have used your trailer a few times years ago when I was doing heavy haul similar to yourself, I rarely hauled the same thing twice.
That is indeed a really well thought through trailer. Nice work, great to see that it is still used!
I am very impressed and entertained by this video on a custom 43' trailer 😅
Hopefully you get your flatbed back and your dream trailer soon
I like disigns that solves problems that you never knew you had. 😊
FIND IT FASCINATING TO HEAR AND SEE PICTURES AND FOOTAGE OF YOUR BACK STORY. YOUR'E A VERY SMART AND ENTERPRISING YOUNG MAN. I LOVE IT!
Very clever trailer.
20 seconds into the video, I have no idea what's going on, or about to happen, but I'm along for the ride and watching til the end!
You are good at these types of videos, keep up the good work.
It's definitely a versatile trailer...
Very interesting video and I love your explanations for everything!👍😎 Keep up the great work and stay safe out there!❤️🙏
I like the intricate details of the trailer and the explanation.
I have a REGULAR PICK-UP towable 20' deck tilt trailer that I set up similar (much simpler) to do it all so I appreciate the idea.
So Wise , Good idea . A fine trailer for what you needed
I can't believe I've sat through thirty minutes of trailer talk with out being bored. Never realise there was so much to know about trailers.
4:39 Bonk on that Boxer...the stumpy is waggin'!
Such a great design. So... you ARE good at this.
Thank you for explaining everything ❤
Very well thought out.
One more important piece of equipment to get the job done safely and correctly. Looking over your yard while you're talking I was looking at the other equipment, each piece serves a purpose (or multiple purposes) and you do use all of them. I was wondering how many people you have blessed, helping them at no charge when they needed help so desperately. Then the folks you do paying jobs for, they know they can count on you to do a great job, correctly, safety and without damage. You truly deserve every piece of equipment you own. I pray safety and GOD'S best blessings on you and your precious family.
It would definitely be a nice addition to his fleet if he had enough work to justify having 1 built to the specs he needs
The ramp setup on the rear and for the deck would be great for paving equipment as well as many others
That is probably the equipment we see the most loaded on this model! It's excellent for paving companies!
The Boxer is like.. SHow me how to do it Dad, I got U ! lol
You have the nicest and well thought out stuff
Beautiful spec!
Very well thought out for your needs.
As a Truck Driver from the Maritimes that goes thru New Brunswick often I see lots of BWS trailers but they are mostly logging trailers because I am on the highway. See trailers occasionally like yours but you are correct in your ramps being custom. All I see are either smaller or full trailer width. Looks like it has held up really well over the years. Hope you get to use it again.
Love the video! The true you!
Thank you for sharing! 😊
Sweet trailer wow. Awesome job designing it the way you did
🍻 That is one very cool trailer.
Very Clever!
WOW.. that trailer is a beast
That trailer is awesome
It is always nice to watch you and your video's. I know very little about the technical things you do, but you explain it so well. Cool trailer... Really intelligent owner/ driver/ Samaritan.
