POPS+PARTS Symposium: Public Space as Elevated Experiences & Urban Connection Opportunities (Part 6)

Karin Liljegren, FAIA, and Founder and Principal at Omgivning provides a case study project at 801 S. Broadway in downtown Los Angeles, in which Omgivning was tasked with revitalizing a historic commercial building with a rooftop open space, a publicly accessible "interior street", and the connections between those spaces. She also shared other successful examples of interior public spaces and discussed changing relationships within public spaces because of trends toward remote work.
The POPS + PARTS Symposium was presented by the City of West Hollywood Urban Design & Architecture Studio and Green Team and examines the dynamic, changing relationship between public and private open space in West Hollywood.
