I was a bit hard on Trump a few years ago, however I have changed my tune and I think he is what the US and the world needs right now.

If true journalism still existed, most people would have understood how much better Trump was than the alternatives all along. Why on earth people still believe this guy is such bad news. He actually was President and showed he was not a problem at all. Is he too direct talking? Is that really that bad? Did he cause a big conflict out of that? One may agree or not agree with certain policies but isn’t that what politics should be about? Why all the hate? I’d say his term was cut short and the state of the world today is much worse than it was when he was at the helm.
@rafapazos06 Because so many people still think that the news on TV & in newspapers accurately represent reality. They don't realize the level of manipulation they are subjected to. US news in other countries are for 80-90% taken from CNN, NYT, WaPo, MSNBC, WSJ. First 4 are solidly in Democrat pockets. Wall Street Journal is giving space for Republican voices too, as they deal with the cold hard facts of the economy, which keeps them more tethered to reality.
When you read or watch something about Trump in the mainstream media in other countries, you're actually seeing an image projected by his enemies. Most people don't go to the source & watch the original speeches or read the original text of a policy to find out Trump's actual views. So it's no wonder they have a negative emotional reaction to the man. They've carefully been programmed to feel that way.
Trump is siding with the common people: working class & middle class. He wants to take power away from the elites and give people more power to make their own decisions and choices and to better their lives economically. That threatens the elites, so they feel they have to demonize the man.
