@@vladtotkaloI just don’t get why have catch and shoot doesn’t help with catch animations. They removed badges that helped you with such animations and have it solely rely on teammates passing. Imo too much other stuff affects what my player can do this year

@@niqowyd good advice, I’ll start doing that. I just started scooting mid range pull ups because those are always consistent. Do you find yourself getting higher contested shot % by late close outs after pump faking?
The problem is the visual cue is not accurate at all. Go to the gym, get the cue timing perfect, the go to the park or rec and the same cue and now the cue is all wrong. The green windows r not accurate at all either

Bro i have the same problem. I go to the gym or art of shooting. Shoot perfect then go to my career or park or rec and brick. Got to a point i need a break from the game. 1 week later still finding a shot. I either get slighty early or late. I also feel like im timing the cue right but im not🤨

I hope 2k fixes the shot feedback and make it more accurate. Sometimes it says “slightly early” or “slightly late” but in reality it’s early or very early. In game, it’s hard to adjust to the feedback when it’s not accurate, causing us to go into a shooting slump. If they fix the feedback, I think it’ll be more beneficial

Why wouldnt they just do the same thing they did with the layups this year, have a bigger green window depending on how open you are, that way you can still miss open jumpers but at least u have a better chance of making them since the defense made a mistake

This is how shooting used to be way back when
I’ll never get over 2k adding the timing visual cue. Before last year i was a green machine from 19-22. I don’t know why they would introduce this feature and not have a timing for the release. Ik it says release is an option but if you’re a 2k vet, you know you’re not releasing square when your player releases the ball the way it used to be
This is a personal issue i guess, but it’s the main reason i can go 7\7 one game and 1/9 the next
@clyshawnj3 You're wrong. They barely changed anything with jumpshots except make the green window smaller. Before you were able to time it within a larger green window. That has changed this year. And it's showing people they weren't as good as they thought they were. I'm shooting better in this 2k then I have in past.

The community even asked Mike wang why wasn’t there a normal option for the cue and Mike wang said they were working on it, but could t get the kinks out before the 23 came out. I’m on a slow start with shooting but that’s only because I’m playing as a Vic Wemby center build so it’s a bit tough shooting like I did last year but I’ll get use to it
2k23 was for more casual players , not the better player base

Man everyone in these comments is saying all the things i feel. Shot feedback is a total lie this year. People missing wide open greens. Random hitch animations on wide open spot ups. Timing is different from game mode to game mode, the gatorade gym is NOT accurate this year. Lag spikes. Badges not working. We are all 9 days in at this point and can't find a jumpshot or timing, BUT, every game i play in the rec everyone i play against greens EVERYTHING thats 20% contested or less. There has to be a setting or jumpshot creator detail we are missing. I shot 70% last year, which was apparently the hardest year in a decade to shoot on 2k. This game just isnt working man.

I run Poku base on my big, best shot I’ve used because of the visual cue. Trying out Scottie/kobe rn on a tmac build, liking the cue so far; reminds me of KPJ/Melo from last year

I used as close as i could find to my jumper from last yr to get easily acclimated to the game. I was shooting 70% from 3 until 2 nights ago. Now im around 60% overall after just 10 rec games since that patch or whatever. Crazy. But I'll adapt.

Anyone want a jumper. Try tmac base. Release 1 Kyle korver, release 2 Kyle korver. 50/50. Max speed and make sure your using set point.
I brick every open 3pt shot , EVERY SHOT ! I'm so upset , i can't enjoy the game and my mates left me alone and sad 😣
That sucks. If you do what he says and just practice you'll get back. I went into a little slump too. Last year was the first year that I fully went no meter, stuck with the same jumper most of the year, paid attention to my hot zones, and go into a gym to practice for a bit every time I get on the game to get the timing of the day and my visual queue dialed in. Another thing that helps is playing the streetball challenges to get your hot zones. The games are quick and it helps you get badges and stuff too just like mycareer NBA games do. I also use push release timing which is similar to "late" from 2k23.
Another thing that I'm not sure he mentioned that's really helped me in the past couple years is hardwiring my console to the router, buying a monitor instead of playing on a TV, plugging my controller into the console with the cord. It helps with the input lag of the Bluetooth controllers, gives you better Internet speeds to kill some lag, and the monitors have better frame rates than even the best TVs; which helps improve the visual delay.
And if you can't do some of those things, or you try and still can't get right, you could always make an inside big man or a pure slasher/playmaker that excels in other areas and can still be helpful to a team and maybe be fun for you.

I tried the jumpshots that Joe mentioned in previous video , i changed the timing of the release , i used shooting boosts , i practiced by shooting hundreds of shots everyday.... NOTHING! We play good basketball with passing vission and basketball IQ , im letting free and i brick EVERY SINGLE SHOT! Also i lag so much... ! many times when i press to shoot suddenly a lag spike happens or a frame drop... I can't understand what's the real problem so i can fix it... It's a totally mess! My build is a "2 way 3pt threat" PF with 80 3pt!
Finally, i use the controller connected via cable on the console, i have fiber Internet connected via LAN cable on the console and i play on a Samsung Qled TV with low input lag.
One other thing that i noticed is that i meet US players on EU servers... We are all together playing with 120+ pings ! 2k must fix the game!

Facts
A billion dollar GAMING company with this much input delay is absolutely unacceptable. You don't see this sort of stuff in MK, Fortnite, Street fighter, etc. Any game where things have to line up perfectly by a fraction of a second need to have quality servers with little to no input delay.
Them making the green window even small than it already was doesn't expose the players it exposed how bad the games servers actually are

2k labs did a video on it, hardly makes a difference at all. Better to choose a shot with low stability so you can have good stats on the other aspects

You can set it for jump shots, lay ups only, free throws etc.
