Dave! I like to thank you for these videos, I've watched more than half and learned a lot. I went to art school for 4 years and hit a lot of walls. some stole my bag of sketch books full of gesture drawing and life drawing workshops in my last year at art school. I had given up and went into other things over the 15 years. I struggled with digital painting for years and watched a lot of tutorials. but I like the way you broke everything down and I really like your process and my drawings have gotten a lot better.
I really enjoy seeing your progress throughout the different stages of the finished piece! I'm not always motivated to do art but, Artists like you really help me get back in to the drawing mood.

I have a friend and he and I loved Guillermo Del Toros direction for Pacific Rim kaijus.
We made it a practice to try making our own kaijus with bizarre animal mixes and it was so much fun to do.
I really recommend not looking at other fantasy creatures but more of tweaking and mixing animal/plant. references.
I had to do a job interview for my public speaking class and I chose to "apply" for a blizzard artist position. During my speech I said that I was inspired by your work- except instead of saying Dave Greco, I said Grave Deco.. but I just went with it because I knew she didn't know who you were LMAO

I always look forward to these drawing with daves. Do you have any advice on making sketches more sketch-y? My natural instinct (especially with a drawing tablet) is always to make less lines instead of more, even though I know I’m gonna refine it later, and it always makes the end result look a bit textureless. Also for drawing ideas, I’d love to see some like sea monsters or something on the channel.

Don’t feature a picture of yourself in the thumbnail. It’s tacky. Only Jazza is allowed to get away with that.
Its tacky to comment about something so petty.
He face is his brand, he is selling himself as the product, so therefore it makes sense to put himself in the thumbnail. Many many professional artists do this, its perfectly acceptable. Move on if its not for you
