Anyone who can meter gain for him. After that really I find that everyone has at least one assist that can be very useful. So anyone you feel comfortable playing with besides that I am pretty sure works. I only play with people I like so I use S Broly (very good at meter gain imo) and UI Goku (because I like his kit). Your mileage may vary.

Lol nun against anyone but yamcha has lowkey been up there since the divekick patch like a year ago. All his dmg was in regular combos since he had like no routes but now that he has options, I think they forgot to scale his shii now he goes dumb
His problems was not his combos. It use to be but like you said once the dive kick got changed he was alright. The problem was Yamcha had no damn mix lol. You put someone in a blockstring and there was little to no threat of being opened up. Now he’s a back to being a legitimate threat
@@Andretti2Tone well to be fair, there was a lot of the cast that rlly had no mix legitimately. He made up for it w his lvl 3 in the corner but him with assists could make it work n that’s not all bad since a lot of other characters relied on assists for it too

And the best part is even if that's true he'll still mix your shit like nobody's business, lol. Even the bottom 1 character can fight the top 1 character (whoever they are at this point) and still cook because everyone has their own flavor of BS
@@dabekes8931 Nah. Lucar has made multiple top 8 appearances in tournaments with UI over the past year and cooking with him and he recently won a tournament. UI is still weak compared to the cast, but definitely not unviable

@@OBAssassin he must’ve forgotten how many tournaments Kazunoko won in Season 1. That man won 4 out of 7 Dragonballs basically due to Yamcha’s strength as an anchor alone.
short answer: no. long answer: definitely not. He got a couple of good little buffs, but he's still near bottom 3 (if not bottom 1). his biggest issue, neutral, is still a massive challenge and his pressure is still almost entirely solved by a well placed jab. he has no good low and no good overhead, so he ONLY has crossup mix, and his main method of doing so (whiskers) can be jabbed out of, alongside tail and alongside DR.
To sum up this whole debate on to tier player's is this. Every character on the game is top tier as suppose due to how the person plays with that character you can put all that energy into the powerful character & do that just as well with any other. It's all about finding the character that fits you not a character everyone plays with so much. Stop being copy cats & do yourself. I've been keeping up with db, dbz, dbs, dbheroes all kinds of anything concerning it since 1990 played the very first to come out til now. Watched everything have hundreds of different kind of action figures, movies, clothes etc etc & the lower level characters can whoop behind on the strongest & win. So with that it shouldn't be any top tier character on this game they're all are
