Connecting everything ,fasten all screws and check...Most sony devices work after completing all connections and screws most of the time boards are in loop, even then if it doesn't then need to check for switching pulse from main board and trace further. Thank you.

Hi Kelvin, check whether any of the speaker wires are short circuited or if any of speakers are torn, you can do it by connecting speakers one by one, if all is fine with speakers check any dry solder in output section that is around speaker connectors on motherboard ( main board)for this you have to take out circuit completely outside and check , check if any capacitors (condenser) are bulged on top (you can compare it with other capacitors physically) or if you have capacitance meter you can check with that. if possible replace filter capacitor and check.

If the system is ON and you still do not hear any sound from speakers by all the functions like DVD , USB ,Line In etc then amplifier section might not be getting Power, if you have technical knowledge trace in reverse from speaker connector which will lead to amplifier section , in that section check voltage across filter capacitors , if voltage is ok then need to check preamp and Power amp IC.

Sir, does the system give error "protect e04" soon after turning On or after some time ?..if after some time then check whether cooling fan is working or not , whether fan is jammed etc... If the system (radio) gives error as soon as you turn On then there might be some deffect( Some components might have failed) in amplifier section which needs to be traced by a professional service engineer. Not exactly the dust , may be after removing all the connectors, charges blocked in some capacitors might have been released ( sorry i am not getting how to explain it.) and after connecting, system started working properly. This must be DEST error . Sony service center say it's board problem . But keep the power disconnect for 19 min and after that let it be on by itself .
Change sound mode by pressing 'sound mode' button (key) on remote controller and check, if it doesn't work connect surround speakers in place of front speakers and check if they are faulty or working, if they work fine after connecting to front speaker socket then need to check for system settings according to user manual. Hi, If you mean the system is totally dead and if you have technical knowledge, basically check for AC mains fuse , if its not blown see any capacitors are bulged or what (you can identify physically), check for 5v and 12v ( disconect it from logic board and check), if no 5 v then get it checked by person who can repair SMPS as there may be some problem with it , if you get 5v but loosing it when u connect it to logic (main) board then there is something short circuited in main board and need to check by Engineer. in some cases the error will be due to 5 v or 12 v short or say output short circuit but in my case the basic cleaning worked out .
There is a transistor at the speaker out put .. u need to bypass it .. to the tp3017 point I guess if u need more info let me know
