"At last! The lost city of Atlanta!" He marveled at the world of mint, pine and apple green surrounding him, sprinkled with white lilies. Small waves formed and crashed around his warm brown boat that sailed noiselessly through the sea of evergreen. Towers the colour of gold loomed high above him, each with unique and beautiful carvings. He breathed in the serenity, the peace and took a closer look. The water danced in the sun and he felt a cooling breeze ripple through the air. He had reached his destination.
Upon his arrival, the traveler searched for the nearest dock to settle his humble boat. Much to his fortune, that appeared, as if he wished it into existence. Once he managed to dock, the traveler hopped on, tied a tight knot, and ensured the boat's security. After that, he scanned his environment with worn, hopeful eyes. The beauty of the lost city of Atlanta seemed to sparkle with delight, with the arrival of their newfound guest. He then turned to the end of the dock, and found a woman, leaning upon a humble tavern's doorway, waiting for him to enter.
"Welcome. To the lost city of Atlanta." She greeted him, polishing a mug with a contentful grin. "Care for some food, drink, and a room for tonight? There's vacancies."
"Why, yes," replied the traveler, "if it's no trouble." He was a very humble man and had no desire to be a burden. The lady smiled at him and led him through a dimly lit hall, where he hung up his hat and coat. Then he caught up with her and was taken to a large room with a roaring fire and oak coloured walls. What surprised him was that the room was filled with people. They all looked slightly eerie but talked and laughed merrily amongst themselves. The man was unsure of where to sit, so he scanned the room, feeling a little out of place. Then his eyes rested upon someone. A man with his back turned. Almost as though he could feel someone's gaze, the man turned around and was met with piercing blue eyes that filled with tears as soon as he did. "Impossible," the first man whispered.
"Hello, Archie," said the other man. He got out of seat, went over to Archie and kissed him so passionately. Their arms wrapped around each other and they both cried so hard, as if they could never let each other go. The woman stood, leaning in the doorway, and a chap with a beer in his hand smiled and said in his rough accent, "I think them two'll be needing some drinks."
After the lengthy embrace, both of the men settled down upon an unused booth. They shared stories, regaled tales, caught up with each other as they partaken the local delicacies. The 'lost' city of Atlanta was in the midst of recolonizing, after a tragic storm, years ago, which sank the Eastern Coast into the waters forever. Yet, this proved to be a boon for the city: it became the American equivalent of Venice. After their meal, pleasant conversation, and satisfying drinks, the men arrived at a mutual decision: they'll travel together on the humble boat, and explore the remainder of the sunken Eastern Coast.
The Eastern coast was a sight that could bring light back to the blind eye, long coconut trees kissing the sky and ruins of old yet might structures which were once the glory of the land. The water was extremely clear that even the world's best crystal would be left in the dust. The waves crashing on the shore gave a beautiful and natural sound as if nature herself were talking to you. An evergreen and list forest surrounded the shore and a lot of life was in the place. The air had a salty and a smell of the sea in it. It was as if Venus had appeared in front of you.
The wildlife, which claimed the Eastern Coast as its home, flourished, and multiplied. Thanks to reclamation efforts, the E.C. became a source of bounty for the nation. A source of limitless kinetic energy from the Atlantic waters, and a desired location for many a lover of nature. A careful vigil, by the local fisherman, made certain that the newly created eco system is protected from unbalance. Known for its voracious appetites, the lionfish from the southern waters threaten to ruin that goal. Which became a brand new source of food for the locals. Such was the food that the two men consumed for their meal.
Soul Stories is easily one of the best collection series out there

I am working on finishing/reworking a few older stories. One is an adventure story about growing up. I need the sound of the mountains, of wind-rising and storms falling. Of peace and echoes of forgotten wars and dramas. All from the perspective of two kids staying here with family, to them a wild new world. To those living here, just another day. But a place for great things to happen.
This is an spectacular compilation and my new favorite. WOW! Pandora Journey never disappoints.
