    You seem to be great at research, experimentation, and observing. All necessary for learning what each species requires. Congrats on your breeding success and beautiful touches on aviary design!

      Thank you Mark- I don’t emphasize it enough in the videos, but I listen well. There is a wealth of experience out there and incredibly generous keepers willing to share and help!! I appreciate you taking the time to encourage me !

    An you are the best bird Mommy ever! Is it any wonder your birds are happy and have so many babies? You feed them, and look after them so well. I loved this video, so much, thank you x

      @@Echosaviary As are you and your beautiful birds xx

  • @affordabledesertliving3487

    Did I hear correctly that you never give your violet-ears any live food? Hmm. So they get the egg food nutritious mix only? Thanks.

      They did get frozen larvae and fruit flies along with eggfood but nothing live. Mealworms especially were problematic

      They are reptile feeders! Work great. I have the round ones that keep worms in and the flat trays for foraging. Highly recommend. I think both styles can be found on amazon or any reptile supply

    Where do you source the fly maggots in good quantity? Do you breed these yourself? Thank you!

    Hi, Do you give larvae, egg food freezed or you wait a little bit till teh food is at the ideal temperature?

    • @Echosaviary
      @Echosaviary  Před rokem +1

      I give right away despite all advice to let food warm up. I find that frozen larvae starts to decay quickly on thawing. I don’t notice any harm in it and birds seem to futz with everything until they actually eat it so they may be managing the thawing on their own.
