Came back to report that I tried this and it came out bomb! It took me 8 hours and $5 to do but I love it. Will definitely keep this in rotation.
How did you take out the tiny bands at the beginning of the braid?
Was there any cons hair breakage or anything
No, no breakage since we oiled the rubber band at the beginning.
Just pull the hair apart to separate. Pretty intuitive, can use fingers or comb.
Well done. I'm over paying out loads of money to get my hair braided etc. I'm not naturally gifted at doing hair, I'm afraid, but love watching videos such as these, for inspiration.

I was never a fan of rubberbands at the ends but you make every style look amazing! I like yarn/wool because I am allergic to most synthetic hair but wear it anyways smh. Yarn/wool is drying though...can't win!😆

I am a beginner with doing my hair. Its a little longer than yours but similar texture. This is my first time trying to put synthetic hair in my head. This is my experience:
I messed up where i started cutting up the yarn hair. Ive got strands everywhere 😭. So instead the next bundle I just cut enough for each strand instead of cutting all the hair at once. This helped a bunch and could measure easily how much hair to use for each twist.
However when twisting my twists would become quite loose and bigger once i took my fingers off and pressure was gone, even after knotting at the end. But i realized because once i got to ends of twists I was letting them loose, and theyd loose too much. Also tying knots at the end were difficult for me, so instead I wrapped the mini bands at the ends tight after firmly twisting. Then when they loosened they did to an acceptable degree, not unraveling like before.
Keeping my hands greased with gel while twisting kept the hair (mine and the wool) straight while also paying careful attention i was twisting evenly as i went down.
I also missed the part where you said you used 3 1/2 bundles...i bought 2 but thankfully I didnt even use all 2 of them. But i had about 20 twists so less than yours.
Unfortunately I wasnt so good about making all my twists end at the right length for a bob so its a bit uneven all around 🙃 but happy to try and experiment! Overall doesnt look terrible so still gonna wear it for about a week or two.

@@Mercy.O. girl i was struggling 🤣 im not adept enough to try it again without the length looking all goofy. It was supposed to be bob length, but the twists were uneven all around so looked silly. But with a hat or scarf on top, loooked much better!
@@Momo-po5tn Finally did it, my experience:
1) next time, will crochet the bottom two/three rows of my head, instead of one, so the bob looks like a bob lool, not halfway down my back (because my hair is past bra strap length)
2) Make the parts a bit smaller, cause my twists were big and juicy, not like hers
3) Will twists properly, by twirling the hair in the opposite direction when twisting - forgot to do that, so the twists wasn't firm
Defo will do again, a stable/easy hairstyle
Took me 12 hours though😅
