Why not teach the traditional wrestling gator roll?? It leads with the shoulder to shoulder contact anyways and super safe whereas there’s minimal room for wonky weight distribution

Players to stay on feet, shoulders above hips, no crocodile roll, no binding on neck, jackaler to release ball as soon as ruck forms if ball still on ground, no charging into ruck, arms required on contact and binding, the ruck to be a contest of opposing groups as a scrum. The laws exist already, it’s down to the ref to implement and penalise as appropriate.

Rugby union is becoming boring... Why have 2 big clubs just gone into administration? People simply aren't watching the game as much as before. I grew up playing but it's being ruined by an over emphasis on player safety. People get injured it's a contact sport. Luckily the league world cup is on where we can see people actually tackle each other without the ref blowing his whistle every 5 seconds.
