WTF You people saying 'bout this girl? What is youtube about? America's got talent or something? She made a beautiful composition and the fact that she wanted to express her feelings is more important than anything. If she didn't do this or that is what less matters. We shouldn't judge by just looking mistakes and stumblings. I love to dance, i'm not professional, i'm not a smarty and i don't care about DOING WELL. I care about doing something real to me. And if it's good for me then awesome! i found what i wanted. And she did, she feels happy and complete, she dance like she is.
The control she has on her turns and extensions is sooooooooo on point! Excellent job *round of applause*
The painter/worker in the background really tied up the loose ends of the story. We know he's probably suffering emotionally and he wants to join in the dance... but he's too afraid to be judged. Breathtaking.

For people saying she's not any good. Actually!! She's really good, She's not tryig to tell a story. It's passion and pain expressed through the art of dance. It's not a regular dnce routine. You can tell through her movement it's pain and passion.
Here I lay absolutely blown away and in tears after watching this beautiful mover express herself ever so deeply only to scroll down to see all the goofy little mind preferences typed up by viewers. I rarely comment on any you tube clip but def feel compelled this time. Lydia, thank you for bringing me so full in the moment and inspiring creative movement patterns. i love this video. the choreography is beautiful but what i really find amazing is how you can tell how passionate she is about dancing. The floor hasn't been put it yet, the workers were currently painting the walls yet she still is completely tuned into her dancing. Stuff like this never fails to remind me how fantastic dance really is.

this dance is beautiful oh my gosh and i matched her chore to figure eight by eillie goulding and it lines up so well even with the lyrics at times. Amazing job though as a dancer i know how hard you have to work to make things fit but you really did this chore justice
Ballet is such a beautiful art form and method of expression! Too bad I wasn't exposed to more of it when I was growing up. Thank God for the modern day Internet!
It's Contemporary, not ballet
DesiPanda674 Oh, okay. I'm not familiar enough with all the specific dance forms to know the difference, so I had to google both 'ballet' and 'contemporary dance'. As you surely already know, ballet is often defined as an artistic form of dance that uses precise and highly formalized steps and gestures, which may be characterized by light, graceful, fluid movements. Not surprisingly, there is apparently a lot of confusion as to what exactly contemporary dance is, but as I expected, it is largely influenced by ballet. However, one source explained that it "stresses versatility and improvisation, unlike the strict, structured nature of ballet." So I guess the main difference is it is not as restricted. Hopefully, I am forgiven by most (including you) for not knowing the subtle differences. Let me rephrase my original post by saying, "Dance in general is such a beautiful art form and method of expression!"

This was beautiful. I was draw to this video because of its association with Ed Sheeran. He's an amazing musician and I have seen dances choreographed and hated them. I felt that they didn't do his song any justice. This is an emotional song. Especially the bridge. I'd like to say you are amazing. I'd love to learn this myself and put as much passion into my dance as you do. Good luck. You are amazing.
