Sunsets are truly magical! 🌅 The way the sky transforms into a canvas of vibrant colors is simply breathtaking. It's a perfect moment to pause and appreciate the beauty of nature. What do you think makes sunsets so special?
Yeah, it can appear larger when it sets and smaller when it rises, tough. But not because it's getting closer, but it has something to do with the atmosphere
@@drfrog3166 Actually, it does not. The sun will look the same size no matter where you are on earth, even if you travel thousands of miles (except for slight distortion during some sunsets due to refraction, but in places with little to no refraction it remains a constant size). This means that the sun is at minimum millions of miles away (further confirmed by eclipse calculations that put the sun hundreds of times farther from the earth than the moon, which by the logic described above can already be calculated to be hundreds of thousands of miles away). Now, you can still pretend the sun is a spotlight all you want, but there is no way that traveling just a few thousand miles would make the sun dozens of degrees higher or lower in the sky when the sun is millions of miles away. That observation only works if you are changing your own orientation, therefore implying that the earth is round.
@@herringboneflooring3861 Really? I never realized the phrase was just the commonly accepted term for the phenomenon of the Earth rotating enough for the view of the Sun, or.Moon to be obscured by the curvature of the Earth. 🤔 Thanks for bringing that to my attention. Any ideas about why the rain falls down? That has been puzzling me for some time. 🤭
@@TCGore A lot of things are commonly accepted, it doesn't make them a fact. The Sun rotates on its axis and revolves around the galaxy. It doesn't move in relation to the Earth, so the terms sunset and sunrise are illusory. Respectfully, the rain falling down, because of gravitational pull, has no correlation with what I mentioned. Why do you sound so sarcastic, defensive and offended?

Earth moves, other wise the sun would have got smaller in size according to the flat earth model. Theres no such thing as atmospheric lensing due to one reason. Light is bending through one type of medium, not magnified

😂😂. Fun fact. The Sun doesn't set or rise and never has or ever will.
@@herringboneflooring3861Do you have any supporting evidence for this claim?
This backs up the flat earth theory.
