    I just hate how they ruined Marty and Rory's friendship, she could've benefited from a male friend. One thing that really upset me about this show was that every relation with the opposite sex had to be romantic.

      If you noticed they literally never did their fat shaming or insulting lgbt jokes in front of characters like Michel and Sookie. The reason being the writer would get chewed out from people like Melissa Mcarthy if her weight became the subject of ridicule to her face.
      Instead the writer wanted to have it both ways. Give Lorelei a friend who wasn’t skinny and a worker/friend who is in the lgbt. While she can make derogatory jokes that would clearly offend them, just not to their faces.
      The writers were assholes, and I doubt the actual actors appreciated this shit.

    Rory spends so much energy trying to cloister herself and then the one time she has a social-communal reason to step out of her dorm room, she meets an American Disney prince

    "Asher Fleming died.
    In bed?
    No.
    Damn I lost the pool." They destroyed Marty's character for no reason. Logan was a tool

    Professor Fleming's death was sort of a sign why Paris shouldn't be dating an elderly man who could be her grandfather. Now that he's dead, she can go back to dating boys her own age. By the way, I find it odd that Richard, who was a colleague of Professor Felming and introduced him to Rory and Paris, wasn't at the wake

      he wasn't that old to die. you can die really young sadly. he was 60. my dad is 64 (i'm 32). but yea it's gross if she's 19 dating a 60 year old. its not illegal but still weird

    It's hard to believe Paris would be allowed any kind of say in handling Asher's effects. Did he name her the executor of his will?
    And even if he did, it seems likely his family could go to court and get that stopped. Why should some about 20-year-old that he's known for a few months have more say in the matter than his own children and grandchildren?
    I certainly be pissed if my father's girlfriend, younger than me, was making decisions about where to have my father's body cremated, etc. And wait a sec -- "where was his daughter at Thanksgiving?" Isn't she British? Why would she care about Thanksgiving? Did she live in the States? Was her mother American?

      @JR-mn3sb Před 4 lety +4

      Heather Howard so many questions, lol. Yeah, Paris being executor is improbable, but not impossible. Asher intimated that he really cared for Paris, so he must’ve updated his will 🤷🏽‍♂️

    • @JR-mn3sb
      @JR-mn3sb Před 4 lety +10

      Heather Howard Also, Paris indicates that there is infighting among his surviving family members. That likely means that they couldn’t set aside their differences to come together as a united front and contest the will, etc.

    • @heatherhoward8064
      @heatherhoward8064 Před 4 lety +7

      I did have a lot of questions, I know ;-) There's always some suspension of disbelief in these things but I think they pushed it too far here. Asher may genuinely have cared for Paris, but still, she's only about 20 and it would be far more likely that Asher would only amend his will to leave her something (he left her some antique loom, was it?)
      It doesn't make sense that he would make her executor of his will. That's a big responsibility, and he'd be far more likely to choose an older longtime friend or relative who was familiar with the different members of his family.

      Of all moments, you picked the one where she is grieving from her boyfriend dying to state she’s annoying sometimes? No shit I may be annoying for a week or two if my boyfriend just died.
