I understand SQH because where is the fun in creating an OC with a peaceful backstory/life? If I'm suffering, my ocs should too. This is what I call self insert. Plus, readers won't find it entertaining. Unless they want a Slice of Life type story and fluff. (Saying this from a POV of a writer but I also understand why bingge is so mad because imagine finding out that a person has full control of your body and can decided whether or not you should have a peaceful life or no)
