It is hard, not because Americans dispute what they did, but because they love to justify what they did. Everything they do was righteous, nothing they did was wrong. Imagine if instead of the US, Russia had dropped the nukes over Japan, after all Japan was threatening Russia as well. If that had happened, we wouldn't hear the end of it and Americans would use it as proof of how evil Russians are. But since it was done by Americans, they think it was the correct thing to do. They don't just justify the first nuke, they also justify the second one and would even justify it if the US had nuked every single city in Japan.

I feel ashamed to know that we are always talking about other countries' war crimes when we can't even confront our own. The U.S. and other countries that have committed such atrocities all have their good people, but it's important they know the truth. Even though I haven't actually committed any war crimes myself, I just wanna apologize to anyone who has been affected directly or whose ancestors/relatives have been affected by the U.S. By the way, I understand if anyone criticizes me because I would also do the same to myself.

It is hard, not because Americans dispute what they did, but because they love to justify what they did. Everything they do was righteous, nothing they did was wrong. Imagine if instead of the US, Russia had dropped the nukes over Japan, after all Japan was threatening Russia as well. If that had happened, we wouldn't hear the end of it and Americans would use it as proof of how evil Russians are. But since it was done by Americans, they think it was the correct thing to do. They don't just justify the first nuke, they also justify the second one and would even justify it if the US had nuked every single city in Japan.
