It's a tragedy, but sooner or later it had to happen because it felt like the only organical ending to Ope's story. In all of the series (and maybe his life, who knows), he's been really happy only once, that was at the end of Season 1 when things went well with Donna. And then she got killed. He was a broken man, pretty much all he had left was the club and his best friend Jax. He died protecting both, saving a brother's life and sparing Jax the decision of sending a brother to die. A hero.
I love me some opie I was so pissed when they killed him, but what a hero's death. He was by far the hottest and had the best heart of all the characters on the show.
+Bathsaltreality I agree he had the best heart, he was loyal, and the only one who represented the actions of a man that could be respected. As far as hottest, I would have to say Lyla (from a guy's perspective:), but I could see why a woman would find Opie attractive.
