What are some switch games you regret getting? 🤔
A short hike is short and frustrating. Windbound is boring and too hard.
Mario Golf , Mario Strikers , Nintendo Sports And every game that’s charged me $60 for an incomplete extended demo
turnip boy commits tax evasion :|
Love your shirt. I'm part of the Harvard family tree DNA wise. Also I like your accent. I thought you were American, but your facial expression was very European 🇪🇺 and your movements were very British and I like it.
Answer None, except Love Craft game I couldn't stand.
only one i disagree with here is pokémon snap! i really loved it, it was everything i wanted as a follow up to the nintendo 64 version. i actually liked that the stages were replayable because as you level up things would change and make it a new experience again! and you can unlock different paths and see completely new areas even within the same stage
a game i do regret buying though is splatoon 2. it’s by no means a bad game, but i think i overestimated how much i would end up playing it, it’s just not for me.
I also disagree with Pokémon Let’s Go. It had the cutest character appearance and I love catching Pokémon with just a Pokeball. This feature returned on Legends Arceus.
Honestly, if I would rate the Pokemon Games on the Switch it would be something like.
Legends Arceus > New Snap > Let's Go > Sword/Shield > Gen 4 Remakes.
I agree about Splatoon 2, definitely wasn't up my alley. And I haven't tried Pokémon snap, so I don't know if I'd be a fan of it. However, you do have Dubu as your profile pick, so you definitely must have good taste so I might check it out
that’s crazy because i absolutely love splatoon 2. spent over 300 hours on it and i’m far from bored,, i’m always excited when playing it. and i always thought everybody else would enjoy it because of how much i did. but after all there is no game that every single person will enjoy
@@wolfeevi ikr?? me with almost 1000 hours on it lmao
I agree with u on MK8D expansion pass in that they spread out the releases too far apart. But in the long run, it’s a good purchase considering u get 48 more tracks.
I personally really enjoyed pioneers of olive town as a long time Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons player but it did feel lacking in some parts. I want to believe that I would have still liked it even if I didn't get it free and a month before it was released so I couldn't regret the purchase anyway but I know I don't regret the time I put into it.
I have both the story of Seasons 3ds games. Is the switch version looking into? 🤔 I really enjoyed the 3ds versions. 🤷♀️✌️
You'll love Stardew Valley
@@foopock I'll look into it~ 👍 I have heard of it but haven't got a chance to play it yet~ 😎👍
@@Sunny10tv Oh man it's one of the best games I ever played. Especially with friends.
@@foopock The majority of my friends are almost all online these days. Last time I had friends was really when I was in high school years ago as for seeing face to face... 🤷♀️🤦♀️✌️
I do agree that the first wave of the booster course pass isn't the best. However it isn't all bad. The Tour tracks are pretty fun, even if they aren't the best tracks. And they have a lot of details in the background. You can find so many buildings in Tokyo Blur, and they have fun gimmicks. Tokyo Blur just changes the route each lap, but still kinda cool, and Paris Promenade has you go backwards in the last lap. And Ninja Hideaway (which is from Tour, even though they didn't label it as such) is obviously from the dlc, you can tell from the graphics, but the mechanics and layout of Ninja Hideaway feel like a proper track. If you upgraded the graphics of Ninja Hideaway but kept the layout, it would be amazing. Coconut Mall is flawed, they could change the cars, but they'd also have to wipe the time trial data, so it's unlikely, but it isn't the absolute worst. Let's just hope Wave 2 is a little better.
Well, I have good news for you: Wave 2 of the _Mario Kart 8 Deluxe_ Booster Course Pass DLC *_is_* better than Wave 1 (aside from the Ninja Hideaway racecourse)!!! The graphics are better on all of the racecourses (except for SNES Mario Circuit 3 and Wii Mushroom Gorge - the grass is *_still_* textureless in those 2 racecourses!). Plus, Waluigi Pinball and Kalimari Desert - 2 of the best racecourses in the entire Mario Kart video game franchise - make a return (albeit with revamped graphics)!
@@StevenVillman don’t do ninja hideaway like that, it’s a good track
I guess the only Switch game that I regret buying a physical copy of would be Tetris 99 because I have it downloaded and it’s just so much more convenient for me to have a digital copy of that game.
Omg I didn’t even know there was a physical for that game!?
@@Eeowna it comes with a Nintendo online subscription. You can stack the sub with your current sub.
I buy tooons of switch games as I am a huge collector. I still try to stay away from immediately buying some games at full price though especially those gimmick or sports games! I 10000% agree with Warioware -- glad I played the demo first before buying.
As for games I regret buying, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles is a big one. I was new to importing games from Japan at the time and it's one of the few titles that does not have English unlocked when you get the Japanese version. Needless to say, I literally cannot play the game unless I have a guide up which I hate doing as I love to play most of my games blind. I would understand if the game was exclusive to Japan, but it's not. >:O I also kinda regret Monster Hunter Rise...it's a great game, just couldn't sink the hours into it.
I am curious to know what games you think are a steal for their price? For example, Stardew Valley for $15 feels like I am robbing the developers. lol
Omg I feel the exact same way about stardew 😂 I don’t even feel bad about having it on my pc and my switch
Yeah totally ! Hollow knight is the same in my opinion !
And if stardew valley 15 dollars is a steal, I got on sale, one I just decided I should get it, and I did not know it was on sale for 10 USD 😂😂😂
Stardew Valley and Hollow Knight
Stardew Valley was like 5$ on mobile phone back in 2017-2018. Then I bought it again on switch this year
I have a love-hate relationship with Jumanji the Video Game! When I bought it i was so excited! I CANT GET PAST THE TUTORIAL. it literally gives you a few steps to do and then it doesn’t give you pointers on what you need to do to get past the tutorial. I’ve had my switch for a year now and I still can’t figure it out. I would look it up but I am lazy and also if I can’t figure out a tutorial without looking it up, it’s a no from me. I love the concept, hate the game itself.
Switch games are actually just $60 USD. I guess we get a price break! 😁
From what I'm noticing no matter where I'm buying my switch games whether it's American, Japanese, or European there all $60. I import alot of Japanese switch games. I can get under $60 depending on what seller I'm buying the game from. I've noticed if I go to Walmart I can get alot of games from the clearance rack for around $20 a switch game. I normally buy my game systems / handhelds on release date but decided to wait on the switch until this past November. Fun game system~ 🥰👍
In Canada it’s 79.99 Canadian dollars :(
I’m aud
In USD it is now $40.00 to $50.00.
*@cierraestelle*
Yeah, *_only_* if you live in America... We Canadians have to pay *_*$80.00*_* for each and every first-party Nintendo Switch video game title! 😮💨😮💨😮💨
Ooh this was a great video! I love your presentation style and humour! Also totally agree with Warioware. I bought it in release at FULL PRICE and I have never played a new game so little before in my life. The regret is strong.
I have no regrets. I LOVE Get it Together!
That doesn’t mean Get it Together is a bad game, it’s a great game.
A complaint about wario ware I have is that it’s beaten in 2 hours, I was expecting it not to have motion controls cause that’s what every wario ware game that wasn’t for the wii was like
What about warriors ware twisted which is my opinion is one of the best
@@frixndly_frxd Twisted and Gold.
I moooostly agree here. Saying that Mario Tennis and Mario Golf are just testing the waters for Switch Sports is blasphemy though lol. They have had multiple iterations over past systems and have been pretty fleshed out I think. I tried out Mario Golf recently and it had quite a bit of content.
I love Mario Golf! I have no interest in golf and I was not glad my bf bought it, but after playing it, I fell in love!
while IMO they’re not the best versions of either game series (that goes to Power Tennis and Toadstool Tour) they’re both incredibly fun
Thanks for the suggestions for what not to buy. I looked at Warioware previously, but it was too expensive, and the reviews weren’t great. I’m looking at purchasing Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Have you played that?’
Yes it’s actually easily in my top 5 games to play on the switch I love it so much. The story and the combat are SO GOOD
@@Eeowna Thanks! It sounds great! I’m going to purchase the digital version.
I’m 210 hours on FE3H and still not done. Absolutely worth it.
@@FlorasMori Thanks. I’m looking forward to getting started playing it.
make your own decisions. Stop copying other people opinions
Our library loans Switch games so...so far no regrets.
I don’t think half these games are necessarily even BAD, but it’s as you said that most of these titles shouldn’t go for full price (55 quid/60 dollars). Nintendo has the luxury of being able to price any game that’s on the Switch as a home console title, thereby marking all of these games at significantly higher prices than you’d hope. If many of these-maybe with the exception of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe-we’re priced closer to 40 USD (and whatever the quid equivalent is) I think it would give the buyer more peace of mind about their purchase.
Just the other day I went looking for the Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne Switch port, right? I saw that on GameStop and the eShop it was still going for $60 so I was like, “NOPE!” Took just 10 more minutes and I found a deal for a sealed copy on Amazon going for 28 USD AFTER TAX & shipping. It was a steal, and while I haven’t been able to start it yet due to finishing work for university, I can say I feel really proud of that purchase for saving upwards of 30 dollars! Basically, if you see a game that you’d like that’s still going for full price months after launch, you owe it to yourself to investigate a bit, as you might find a deal that saves you a pretty penny~
Yea that’s exactly it! Also good luck in uni! I just finished so I know the feels 😂
@@Eeowna *@DownBeatDialga*
I just *_might_* do that with _Super Mario Party_ and/or _Mario Party Superstars,_ but we'll see about that - they aren't worth it at full price (full price is *_*$80.00*_* over here in Canada for each of the 2 Nintendo Switch video game titles!).
@@StevenVillman best of luck with your future purchases! I would say to skip Super Mario Party, unless the surplus of playable characters is something you really wanted. Superstars I’ve really enjoyed, though of course I’m like a lot of people being bummed out that there’s so few playable characters.
huh, I thought the BCP was going for 25
yeah, I agree with you on that Hyrule Warriors, I've not finished it because I got bored. I keep struggling through it every now and then because I want to see those cut scenes but I've not played in quite a while now.
I’m howling. You said Pokémon Snap which is my FAVOURITE game and my fiancé was laughing at me as I sat here a lil bit mad… then next you said Mario Party which is one of his fav games and suddenly stopped smiling as he shouted at me to “turn her off!” 😂😂😂 I’m trying to explain how everybody has their own opinions and that whether it’s worth it to somebody is completely subjective. I’ve put 270 hours into Snap so considering you’ve only been able to put 5 hours in I can totally see why you’re saying it’s overpriced and not worth it. That’s like £10 an hour, whereas for me it’s more like 10p 😆
Great video lovely, always love hearing peoples opinions!! 💛
Is there any of the story of seasons games you would recommend?
I very much regret buying 1 2 switch for full price. It was fun for maybe an hour, but I’ve never picked it up again…
honestly my biggest regret was using Kirby Dream Buffet. it was fun for the hype it had, but I barely play it and just went on a day ago and nobody joined online so I ended up with bots. plus $15 was not worth it for that
I only ended up getting Let's Go Pikachu on release because I wanted the Pikachu and Eevee console. 😂
That is one of my favourite switch’s !!
Put off buying a switch then the OLED was released late last year. Finally had the extra cash and was able to get my hands on one. Thank you for the great buying tips. I was looking at Mario Party because I'm pretty much a sucker for anything with Mario's picture on it. I'll probably pass on it though. The money might be better spent on another game. Thanks again.
Check on GameStop or like eBay usually cheaper.😊
I feel so burned by that first Mario party! Great video Eeowna, I think what got me with Hyrule Warriors isn't even canon due to event in that games story too.
It’s not cannon!? 👁👄👁
@@Eeowna there's some time travel shenanigans to change events etc. Once I heard that, i decided not to get the game.
I'm just a casual gamer and I'm glad to say I've never purchased any of these 😅 new subscriber! Love your demeanor 💞
My biggest regret was Katamari Damacy Reroll. It was 20 bucks. But it was an awful port. I thought it would have updated features and performances. There wasn't really any significant update. The game was buggy and unsteady in performance. I went back to play Beautiful Katamari, and it plays like golden Irish butter. Beautiful Katamari became one of my top favorite games of all time while Damacy Reroll was a massive downgrade that should have been left behind in the PS2 era. There was no point for Katamari Damacy to be brought back. I'm still angry that I wasted my time and money on it. Oh well.
I got Warioware, and I loved it. I didn't buy it at full price though. I agree that it should've had motion controls. But I had fun!
70 Dollard is near the price for a nintendo game in Canada which is 80~90 dollars
I had exactly that experience with Pioneers of Olive Town. Major regret.
Stardew Valley stresses me out because it's fast-paced and a bit bloated because you can do so many things, I feel like missing out if I don't do them. So pioneers of olive town is more enjoyable to me, it's slower and I play it when I want to relax. I don't regret buying Stardew though! I do regret buying Rune Factory 5 though 😅
I bought Stardew Valley because my cousin said it was really fun and that I would like it and it's one of the few I regret buying and never play it lol (along with Animal Crossing) so I think those kinds of games aren't for me🤷♀️ but everyone is different so that does make it hard to know what games you'll like before playing them
I did not like animal crossing. But I am obsessed with Stardew Valley
Very interesting video! There were a lot of things where I disagreed but then I had to remind myself that it’s games *you* regretted purchasing, it’s not that you were saying they were bad or not worth it, just an opinion piece (although some were definitely objective like mario party) - it’s always interesting seeing other people‘s opinions on things you love!
It’s why I don’t really do reviews and just talk about my experiences, as I recognise my biases, and general affinity towards Nintendo
Mario Oddessey/ 3D Allstars are mine. Idk just didn’t hit the same later in life.
I bought 3d All stars, got stuck in Galaxy and never touched it again
@@xrdmx893 I couldn’t stand the controls in 3DAS. They felt so damn off.
Thats why I like buying from many shops I use online cuz sometimes ooo sale even official nintendo games and not like ubisoft or square
Is friends of mineral town slow and clunky too? I bought that rather than pioneers of olive town as it looked cuter... I've not got around to playing it yet.
I haven’t played that one sadly so I’m not too sure 😭
@@Eeowna no worries, thanks for replying 🙂
Considering how finnicky get it together is.. I think motion controls would have been waaay too rage inducing
Wait.. You didn't like the Ninja hideaway course??
So I have pretty much the same issues I bought Mario Kart 8 years ago and I stopped buying anything with an online multiplayer because the online service doesn’t have enough value to justify the price
I’ve sold smash ultimate cause online matches ran sluggish and horrible
I sold Pokémon sword cause unless you’re into the PVP aspect there’s really not much value playing online
Really the only things I feel worth getting are Nintendo Exclusives like Breath of the wild Mario Odyssey..Mario+ Rabbids
The other issue that you pointed out the 3rd party game most times every other version but switch is a better choice
I hope Breath of the wild 2 will bring me back to playing the switch and I hope a truly improved model of the switch releases with possible specs like the Xbox series S so we can at least get more 3rd party games running at 1440p resolution
Because there’s lots of great games like Marvel Midnight Sons that could potentially look incredible on a switch if it Matches a Series S build
Let’s Go is basically a reboot of Red/Blue, but I don’t like the things they took out like riding the bike, fishing, and completely gutting Safari Zone.
Great video, thanks for sharing all. Only suggestion would be to add a bit a bit more gameplay while you chat :)
This vid was an earlier one, I’ve defo come a long way with editing since!
@@Eeowna Absolutely - not a negative comment in any way - some of these games were new to me, and seeing some gameplay while hearing your thoughts is just a bonus! Would kind of kill two birds with one stone, eliminating the need for me to go hunt for gameplay footage. Love your content, keep it up :)
Mario kart 8 dlc being disappointing is understandable. the tracks are basically ports of tracks from Mario Kart Tour and the visual downgrade is obvious (fans have done better mod fixes already). I'd recommend looking into Mario kart custom tracks to pass the time till the inevitable Mario kart 9 releases. great video.
There’s custom tracks!?
@@Eeowna yeah there are loads of fan made mods out there, especially for Mario Kart Wii. Worth looking into if you have the time and can get a spare console or two to hack.
Thb i hated buying the second mario party. They removed the high five the extra dice and extra player. I liked those aspects
Yeah, the _Super Mario Party_ video game in having 20 playable characters (as opposed to only 10 in the _Mario Party Superstars_ video game) is one of the major things that make it better than the _Mario Party Superstars_ video game.
Meh, Super was kinda sucky with the whole “let’s be friends!” aspect of the game. Superstars didn’t have it because it was supposed to go back to the classic style of Mario Party, like 1-8. There were no high fives, character specific dices, and extra players back then, so it really wouldn’t fit now if the game is supposed to be a celebration of the classic style of Mario Party.
The game dropped quarterly. You don't like the Japanese temple. There are several tracks that alternate laps. 25 bucks for like 36 games. That's a dollar a track. Mario Super Golf is amazing.
I like super mario party, I like to play it if I have friends over and with my family
You can make Golf exceedingly difficult, and you have to play against people. Random Tees, Strongest Wind, with no specials. You will be challenged.
I like you. Your more honest than any Nintendo switch review here. As far as i know. Good for you.
My own fact to buying games, i do not like buying any games at full price, not for the joy of playing it at launch for more the fact i can buy others i liked to play before. I can save monie waiting and playing other games that still entretain me.
Also the games i buy is for the facts, i can play those with/without company.
The bangers of the soundtrack they provided.
And specially the genre, plataformers, puzzle, fighting, multiplayer, etc.
The only game i bought on pre-lauch was Super Smash Bros Ultimate and to this day the game i played the most.
This is an aside, but it is so weird hearing someone call Switch Sports by its actual name, since I've influenced everyone around me to call it Wii Sports for the Switch. 😅🥴
Personally I love the booster pack & the rest of the waves are free, I so glad we got Waluigi pinball
I kinda regret buying nearly all of the Switch games I own. Most of them are over way too soon for being $60, and don't offer much outside of the core gameplay.
The only switch purchase i regret so far is Mario and Rabbids, and I got the gold edition for $15
I should probably contextualize this:
I currently own 10 phsyical Switch games ranging from $30-60 consisting of:
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
Mario Party Superstars
Breath of the Wild
Super Mario Odyssey
Splatoon 2
Luigi's Mansion 3
Super Mario Maker 2
ARMS
Mario 3D World
And my digital purchases include Mario and Rabbids, Overcooked which was like $2, and Fast RMX for $10. I guess other than Mario and Rabbids I regret buying the octo expansion for Splatoon 2 and the BOTW dlc but there were on sale so no biggie
7:22 it is a good move of nintendo because we had superstars. I never got lured into super and thankfully i didnt because as youve said, its WAAAAAY BETTER in every single way.
_Mario Party Superstars_ needs way, *_way_* more virtual game boards, minigames and playable characters; at least _Super Mario Party_ has 2 main Party game modes and 20 playable characters - enough said by me!
I regret buying Mario kart, it wasn’t as fun as I thought it was
good news is if u liked paris from wave 1, wave 2 is better all the way round and sydney is like paris 2.0 even better
My biggest regret was Maneater... i liked that game on ps4 and it came with a ps5 version as well. The game runs so badly on the switch, like i don't know why i get it in the first place? I just don't think any 3rd party games run smoothly on the switch?
The general rule for 3rd party games on the Switch is research. Lol I refused to buy 3rd party games for the Switch unless it isn't graphically demanding or well optimized. 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim plays amazing on the Switch, and the game feels designed for it. Hades plays amazing on it. My favorite port is Alien Isolation, and it really nails the atmosphere without feeling like the Switch had to compromise the performance.
I don’t regret any 1st party Nintendo game. Some of the indies I do regret though as I don’t even think about them, and I’ve erased them to save space. Switch games are 60.00USD.
This is why I buy mostly physical copies on discount so that if I don't like them, I don't loose money when I sell them
My physical collection took a hit during the pandemic as I always wanted to play things at midnight and didn’t trust the post here 😂
@@Eeowna ohhh noo 😩 I order mostly from Amazon as they are discounting even pre-order games & their delivery is just a dream in Spain
The best way to play borderlands is definitely the motion controls.
I really hate to burst your bubble, but New Pokémon Snap was unanimously loved by both Pokémon and non-Pokémon fans alike and it goes far beyond just looking pretty. The game’s story mode is exceptionally lengthy and full of so many levels with each having different paths to take every time along with each level changing the placement of throughout while introducing new ones, making for a game that’s immensely addicting to play and consistently rewarding as you unlock more items and mechanics to progress. Not to mention the insanely large roster of available Pokémon there are to take pictures of, the crazy amount of interactions you can have with each one, the excellent DLC, the fact that you can customize all your photos in ways so fun and creative and being able to share them, the extra rewards you get for doing all the side missions, figuring out how to find all the legendaries they included. It’s hands down one of the best Pokémon games on Switch, if not the best. The $60 price was more than warranted for the large amount of content it had. The game legit had me playing for months on end trying to get everything, and I still want to get back to it at some point and complete everything.
It’s just my opinion, as I just personally couldn’t get into it 😊 no arguments about the way it looked though, it was absolutely stunning! And this is by no means me saying liking the game is wrong! This is just my personal list of games I didn’t get my moneys worth out of. I know plenty of people who hated XC2 when I adored it!
Fair enough. If New Pokémon Snap wasn’t for you, I can totally understand that. On-Rails Photography games certainly aren’t for everyone (heck, they aren’t even for me either), but this game really made me feel like a kid again and kept me playing for months because of the amount of stuff there is to do and see. I think I’ve made like about 30 funny Pokémon photos that I’ve edited and customized. Lol, one of them was making a Diglett look like Mario.
Ok I’d love to see a collection of fully Pokémon photos though that sounds great 😂
Pokemon snap is TRASH
I take it you two didn’t like the OG game either?^
I mean I like Age of Calamity for it's Gameplay, which imo is much better than BoTW with the same 5 enemy types over and over and over. Age of Calamity is a game I like to experiment with both characters and character specific combat, if you're not an experimental type of player you probably won't enjoy AoC much.
It is not about the controls that makes ot good :/ it is about the game
I love Let’s Go Eevee. It was one of my first switch games. Is it over priced, absolutely but I broke my wrist and it was the easiest game to play, lol. Plus I get suckered into all things eevee and eeveelutions. I mean my most controversial pokemon games I regret buying were shield and legends. I know that’s very controversial for some people. I just feel that out of all the consoles pokemon games have been produced on, the switch has been the most hit and miss games with its game. Cause snap is way over priced too but it’s good for mindless play in your bed when your lazy.
Pioneers of olive town is definitely a huge disappointment:( I guess it has some good stuff but eeh. Have you ever played Rune Factory 5 in the switch? Given on how that and Pioneers are both from Marvelous and have both farming mechanics etc etc.. I wonder of it's also on the games that would regret buying list. Thank you for this video! It's nice to see your opinions on these games with sharing some pros.
I dont agree with hyrule warriors AoC because your only argument was its repetitiveness, which is what the entire point of the gameplay is. Every warriors game is like that.
YES! When everyone griped about NDCube making a whole new Mario Party instead of adding DLC to Super Mario Party, I feel like I was one of the few who disagreed. Super Mario Party is extremely flawed with the 1-6 die and the character dice (with lots of 0's being possible to roll). Because of those flaws, the boards were kept small and uneventful since people weren't moving much. I didn't *hate* that game, but I felt quite disappointed, but it was the only Mario Party I could play for a while when I had friends over. It was still fun, but it's definitely terrible as a single player game. Mario Party Superstars is better in every single way, and I knew that would be the case, and I just wanted it out of the claustrophobic shell that Super Mario Party was gonna force it into. So, I completely agree with that.
Also, Super Mario Party came out all the way back in 2018. Mario Party Superstars came out in 2021, so there was more than just one year between them.
If you've never played a 1vs1000 warriors game then you won't understand that age of calamity is the best one so far. The first hyrule warriors added great characters, that i wish would be in the real game, but age of calamity took the combat to a whole new level. Not even the combat in fire emblem: three hopes is as intuitive.
I agree with you on hyrule warriors and Pokémon snap.
Personally, I regret getting animal crossing
Some indies, maybe hyrule warriors, other than that games like Mario odyssey I had to try it for myself but turns out it just wasn’t for me
i remember when a game was a year old it droped half price.
I regret getting smash and splatoon… just not my style. I also wish I waited for lemon cake to go on sale since it’s fun but overpriced. I also really just don’t like grow: songs of the evertree… bought it on sale but it was meh.
I’m REALLY happy with persona 5 and breath of the wild! :D
I was so disappointed with story of seasons pioneers of olive town. I got it literally the day it came out, so much regret
I love Story of seasons Pioneers of olive town while when I started Stardew Valley trial I was so disappointed. Played Stardew for 10 min or so for me was not worth my money.
Prsnly I'm gonna wait 'till at least the 4th wave of DLC for MK8D before dropping money on it.
1000% agree about Mario Party.
They are still fun video games; they just need more content (notably the _Mario Party Superstars_ video game).
Don't worry in my country most games cost 99nzd it's really annoying
I hate the one joy con use for Mario Party. I haven’t played it at all really xD
I think the only game that I actually used my Switch for the most was Animal Crossing. Man, what a time that was. Otherwise my Switch mostly collects dust.
the only one that I can say that is now a lot more worth it and even more worth it in the next month is the Mario kart DLC due to the imporved quality, and changing coconut mall to have the cars try and destroy you.
but one game does stand out as one of the biggest disappointments ever of the switch being pokemon BDSP which was literally unfinished when released.
Meanwhile me on My Steam Deck with over 400 Games on Steam and 100 Verfied Games like Elden Ring, Spiderman, Horizon Zero Dawn or God of War:
The only one I kind of regret getting is Dread. It’s an amazing game, but I’m so bad at it, I can’t get past the first boss. Maybe I’ll try the free download with the rookie mode.
Free download?
@@user-rx5qe7iz5v Isn’t there a free update?
I'm only going to count games I have physically, and at that I only have a couple regrets.
Pokemon Sword: I'm not the biggest Pokemon guy. Not a bad game, but I stopped caring an hour in. Just didn't feel right to not get it though.
Transformers Battlegrounds: I'm a Transformers fanboy, and I got this out of obligation to play every Transformers game I can. If I was like 6, this would be a great game, but it's so mediocre.
Luigi's Mansion 3 and Paper Mario Origami King: Until I get a Switch for my youngest brother, these are just two games that are sadly collecting dust. But he loves them, so not a complete waste. (Same with Pokemon Sword)
Imagine paying $500 for a game and it's disappointing. Now that I can relate too.
On the contrary, Stardew Valley was probably the best purchase I’ve ever made on my Switch, and for only $17 on the e-store it was worth it!
Me coming 3 months later:
“If we hit 5k subscribers I don’t know maybe something fun will happen”
Me: *wow reached like, 30k in 3 months amazing*
I already regret but the place where i buy them accept return plus they give us money that can be use for another game
I actually got so lucky, I saw borderlands 3 for free on the epic games store before I was about to pay 20 bucks on switch for it haha
Also disagree with lets go, I had like 60 hours in the game before I stopped playing and that wasn't just repetitive grinding it was 60 hours of fun, I don't even regret buying the little pokeball controller either
U still regretting mk8 dlc?
The goose game. It's just way too short. I cleared it in 2 days
Mario party on switch is great. It’s fun with friends and… that’s about it. The second one came out 3 years later and is way better. But it’s not as bad as Mario rabbids.
4:57 You mean like the Wii U game, that got a Nintendo Switch port?
Age of calamity, sorry I should have specified
Good, that's cleared up. 🙂
Pokémon Snap is really for those who loved the original on the N64.
i only regret buying mario kart 8 because of the speed hackers online
The games I regret getting on the switch are dragon quest builders I thought it would be fun I was wrong and Nintendo labo it was fun for a little bit and then it wasn't fun anymore and now I have cardboard in my room mistakes were made
OMG I FORGOT ABOUT LABO 😂😂
@@Eeowna yeah a lot of people forget about that I'd also like to point out that was $50 for cardboard I made a lot of mistakes
I forgot that hair picture existed lmao 😂
I agree with the mariokart dlc and I don't even own it. I only play when my sister visits and brings it, and even that was enough time to get tired of the new tracks
Same I was going through my pictures figuring out which ones I was willing to show 😂
@@Eeowna I'm so glad you blessed us with that one 😂
I love borderlands on switch!
Me too! I'm currently playing the first one and I don't see anything clunky and low fps. It's a steady 30.
The free stardew valley thing, I’m sad that I’m late watching this 🙃
Ever heard of…
Booster Course Pack?
Yup😂 that’s what I was referring to not the mk8 game itself … I said I regretted getting the booster course day 1 of release
I prefer the old Pokémon snap.. the puzzles were so much more cute and rewarding to me. And it’s not nostalgia because I played the old one for the first time right after snap came out thru my Nintendo membership or whatever
I was SO MAD. So. So. So. Mad. When they made the new Mario party. I traded mine in the day after the second one was announced. I was like "no"
My time in portia is a horrendous switch buy... because the switch can't run large parts of the game without significant studder
Your take on Borderlands collection is spot on - total regret.
And this is why I mostly rent games so I'll know what can be disappointing and I can send back to like Gamefly
i 100% agree with Pokemon Snap and Hyrule Warriors. I wanted to like them both so much, but just couldn't do the same thing over and over. :(
I have those games and I love them.
