- Hello everybody... :) As I write this, we are 1.5k away from half a million subscribers!! I could not be more thrilled, more happy, or more motivated. This was supposed to be a "tapping on my 100k Silver Play Button" but turned into just an improv chat. I hope you enjoy it.
I say most of it in the video, but thank you, so so so so SO much. When we do hit 500k, I will celebrate with an ASMR CZcams Livestream, so keep your Sunday nights open and fingers crossed (and press that sub button!!!!!!!)

Congrats on almost 500k. You're one of the first ASMR channels I got into.
Originally my channel was to be able to thumb and comment, then it became a channel for random friend videos. Now it's a continuation of a 2006-2008 backyard wrestling vhs thing so that we could all watch it whenever. Never expected to have other people watch and connect and do colabs with other groups. Granted it's not much views or subs but it's still cool. It's fun to make content even if no one is watching. Been filming for over two years now.

Congratulations on 100k Gibi 😄 you've really earned every one :3 you asked in the start of the video for people to let you know about how you can improve the sound quality (asmr-wise) on your videos. Shock mounts and pop filters do help but not as much as a lot of people believe they do, what is really going to make the difference is what you are doing with the mix, adjusting the mix to your voice, perhaps changing it dynamically through the video for different triggers will help a lot. I went to music school so feel free to ask any questions 😋 it would be an honor

That box makes amazing tapping sounds. You could do an entire tapping video with that box alone!
As an answer to your microphone question: the pop filters will help a lot. Also, watching the guided meditation videos, you are getting some cross-pickup; try not to face the diaphragms toward each other, and turn your faders down until you stop hearing the echo. If that doesn't do the trick, edge the gain down. Condenser mics are ridiculously sensitive, so they shouldn't have to be set too high to get a good ASMR sound. Hope that helps.

I generally just lay in bed at night hating myself. So I put my headset on and try listening to asmr to get my mind off but I end up not even listening and just get deeper into my head. I'd really like to just sleep but I know that won't happen because I've already slept for 16 hours and now I have to be awake all night so I can repeat the cycle. My favorite part though has to be when I do finally sleep, I get to have dreams that I can't distinguish from reality and wake up discombobulated. Or just the dreams themself are enough to make me sick. Idk what's wrong with me. Well I do, but this entire post has no point to it besides me being extremely frustrated and tired and I'm just rambling on a random youtube video. Awesome.

i have a røde nt1 that i use for music and at first i thought it sounded super bassy and weird but the shock mounts and pop filters really do help. if you are able to EQ the sound in whatever program you use you can make it sound a lot a lot better ☺️

Your work is your passion. Thats cool. I would say 40 hrs of manual labor is less consuming than effort to maintain a popular channel. And you're very professional with your work.

Depends on what you mean by Making them sound good. As in, what exactly it is that you don't like. But on an NT, try not to get too close to it. It's an "uncolored" microphone, meaning you'd have to tweak it (EQ) if you have a specific sound in mind
I'd also suggest adding some compression, cause the tapping is a lot louder than the whispering and it can be distracting at times
When it comes to the NT1’s, use a compressor with a fast attack and slow release (1ms Atk, 50-150ms release)
Compress at a ratio of 16:1, use EQ to cut off high frequencies above 15kHz
That, with pop filter and the right gain input setting should help!
