- Today we will be reviewing the maintenance / roller kit parts replacement for the HP Color Laserjet M452 M477 M377 Maintenance Kit
As of the date that this video was created the OEM had not made a part number. Our engineers developed a kit based on historical data of what rollers are likely to wear. The M477 M377 M452 M454 M479 Roller Maintenance Kit consists of:
1 Tray 2 Pickup roller assy RM2-5576
1 Tray 2 Separation Roller RM2-5881
1 Tray 2 Feed Roller RM2-5577
1 Tray 1 Separation Pad RM2-6406
1 Tray 1 Pickup roller RL1-2593
Secondary transfer roller RM2-6455
Symptoms of worn or bad roller parts that need replacement are:
Whining high pitch or groaning noise
Mis feeds or multi paper feed
Paper Jams
Page skewing

We will be using the M452 as our demo printer today for the installation. The procedure is similar across all the models described.
Repair Notes
Repair time of less then 5-10 minutes.
There is no page count reset for any of these models
It has a recommended 150,000 page yield.

Start by making sure the printer is off and unplugged. Approach the printer from the front and open access door.

I was having a problem w a small loecw of paper (4"x6") jammed somewhere not easily found @ first glance. This video showed standing the printer on it's back and pressing the green button to drop the piece above where the paper normally sits in the tray. That's where I found thr offending paper and was able to remove it. While that wasn't the subject of this video, this video helped me none the less. Thank you.

The video was great and helped me replace all the pieces easily, but unfortunately didn't fix the issue.
The printer alway pulls half a piece of paper with it, which doesn't go all the way through. and gets triggered as a jam.
What other things are likely to cause this?
I am getting a magenta vertical line down the right side of my paper.... it seems like that line is on the secondary roller, i have cleaned that but it keeps coming back. is this a toner issue you think? the printer does not have much usage on it.

Phil, I am noticing feed problems. The main problem is I can't print double sided anymore. I have the 452dw. Which roller is it that moves the paper around and or which kit should I buy - if that is the solution?
Long shot but do you have a video on finding a piece of paper that is "jammed" in this type of printer but I dont see it anywhere. Am I going to have to take this whole thing apart?
any suggestions for eliminating a blue line from copies?

Why does my printer say i have a paper jam in the back and there is no paper? One is a new printer never used except to print out the test pages.
Hi! Great video! I have marks on my paper where the roller is touching on print and then rolling ghosts of these down the page. HP want to charge almost $700 to come out. I have cleaned all the rollers, from this video. But there must be some internal rollers??? Please help!!

I've been trying to get that black roller back in for 20 min now. HP printers have become more annoying than they're worth.
Will this fix the issue with my printer? My printer crinkles the paper halfway through, but the bottom of the page is perfectly fine and it comes out freely.

Also how do you make this damn thing AirPrint compatible? It keeps asking me if I wanna do the update and I click yes but nothing ever changes.
It would be nice to have the camera man zoom in more to see the details of what technician is doing , start screws he's accessing etc or move camera to see better angle the procedure rather then at time being blocked by technicians hand

My M452nw is saying there's a Jam in tray 1, but there is no paper loaded. Do you think this is because of a worn out roller? That's the only thing I have found after some research.
The tray 1 sensor flag is probably damaged/broken.

Ok I'm receiving paper jams and high whining noise
Can’t you just clean these instead of replacing them??? Also I am very unhappy with this printer. When turned in and in standby It’s been ramping up like it’s going to print a big job every 2 minutes and then quiets back down. You cannot have this turned on in background as it is just annoying.
Now all of a sudden whenever I want to print a single page of anything, I have to press the ok button on printer to actually print it as the red light turns on in printer. Annoying
