If you eliminate auto tune, popular music would consist of jazz, country, gospel and classical; forms of music which don't require electric mixing to cover vocal inadequacies. That's why singers in those styles usually have better voices, they have no choice. Since the introduction of Rock and Roll back in the 1950s, stage performances have become more about the spectacle and less about the vocal performance. Record companies learned how to produce good looking & sexy performers to sell records.

I'm not into pop music, but this chic has alot of something special and a voice that melts! Yep,she plays her track behind her, doesn't hide it, every album has multiple vocal tracks,why not do it live. maybe she beats on drums because it's fun for her, I do from time to time. God bless her for putting on a show..isn't that what being on stage is about? I usually go to a show to see1
@stickywiggit they aren't hearing aids... most people wear those on stage... basically like an ear monitor so performers can hear themselves on stage :)
People, have you ever tried to sing high notes while moving and performing? That shit is hard... While sitting or staying immobile, it's way easier because your energy is focused on singing not on walking. That way your breath is more conserved... :) learn before you comment and no judgement
