Amazing voice. As a native norwegian i completely approve of her pronounciation. Grieg is the soundtrack of my beautiful homeland! I suddenly feel that my running eye infection is getting worse from this beautiful performance.

Tanto a chegar. Grieg, o compositor norueguês, a retratou
No final, o reencontro. (*)

Wow! More beautiful than I expected with just piano accompaniment!
Marita Solberg and Sissel Kyrkjebo have been my favorites, but now I have to add you, Anna, to my top three.
You're all tied for best in my book!
Would love to hear you sing this with full orchestral background!
Not that you need it - kind of like the old saying, "a good steak doesn't need steak sauce," but it would certainly bring out the flavor!
    Thanks for uploading!
This is probably my favorite classical vocal! I could listen to this song over and over, for 12 hours and not be tired of it!
Love the words, too! (when translated to English)

The Norwegian isn’t correct 100% of the time. Learning from a Norwegian native.

    • @kovanna
      @kovanna  Před 10 měsíci

During the time when Henrik Ibsen wrote Peer Gynt, the written language in Norway was primarily Danish, as Norway was under Danish rule. However, Ibsen used a form of Norwegian called "dano-norwegian" for this play. Determining the exact pronunciation in the original piece can be quite challenging. It's great to hear that you also strive for accurate pronunciation when singing pieces. It's a way of honoring the composers and their work. 👍🏼
