This channel is literally an unbroken chain of absolute bangers with near daily uploads. HOW?!
They love what they do for sure
The employees of that mini navy have some of the coolest jobs in the world.
From a former sailor, this was a fascinating review of the SpaceX's seabased assets. This video really nailed down the challenges to develop these assets. I am impressed with SpaceX's at sea accomplishments.
Just the video I'd been hoping to see for some time. Nice work!
Yeah I was hoping to see this kind of video for a few years, but there we are, bringing new and more info into our nerd brains 😅
Ryan's narration is a pleasure to listen to! Well done Ryan!
You know, it's really great to see a young person like yourself be interested and promote space exploration and rocket technology. Some young people scoff and tell us it's all fake, cgi, etc. Good luck to you. I'm one of the older generations who witnessed Sputnik and the Apollo programs to the moon. So I'll miss all the great things to come but you'll see it all. Mars landings, the new telescopes explaining our origin, finding life, etc. Keep it up. My tip, instead of reporting on SpaceX, get a job with SpaceX. Be there. Be the first.
Well then who will report on it? lol we can't *all* work there. Also I bet that'll only leave the, uh, ones that aren't "all that", not "the A team", to do the reporting.
Excellent overview of the SpaceX fleet. I wonder how much money has been saved so far by these reusable rockets. It must be astronomical.
Vintage NSF, Vintage Ryan, and just all round great veiwing. Well done.
Falcon 9 does not get enough love. It is flying so that Starship can... well, fly too, but better.
Lots of great information, thanks Ryan and NSF team.
FANTASTIC concise history here. Five stars, and a saver. THANK YOU
Thanks Ryan and NSF crew. Great video. Really informative. Hope we'll see lots more of these deeper dives in the near future! 👏👏
Very informative. I never thought much about the drone ships (other than being autonomous being cool) or the SpaceX sea fleet. Thanks for another great video.
Thanks to Ryan and the NSF team.
Excellent research and reporting
Awesome info, well written, well presented. Just what one expects from NSF!!!
Excellent video! Excellent Content! Thank you and your team for all of your hard work and research.
Thanks Ryan and crew, that was great. I'd love to know more about octigrabber though.
I like the droneship names taken from SciFi novels. Hopefully some Starships or boosters will get similar SciFi names in the future too.
I have a list of The Culture series ship names which I want to see get used. (It is not every ship name from the books. Just the ones which I think would work well)
Yeah. It's weird that barges get names and the stars of the show, amazingly reliable reusable spacecraft, only get numbers.
very good video... it start to show how hard it was to land falcon 9..people should be surprise with starship landing as well...but once they master it people will be shocked of what starship will be able to do!!!1
Great video Ryan awesome !!!!
Excellent episode! Thanks
good overview. well done
Thanks! Fascinating and largely unreported topic. Really appreciate your choosing to do the work an episode like this takes. All the best
Nice job NSF, great job by Ryan.
Very good video! Keep it up.
Thank you for this great article!
Love this detail, we see all the cool stuff all the time but to get a view of what happens behind the scenes is fascinating.... More more more
This is fantastic work! Thank you NSF you keep hitting it to Mars 🚀
Just got around to watching! Great overview, and lots of fun facts included here!
It's nice to focus on a specific topic from time to time, and get further into the nitty gritty details. Thanks.
Thanks again friend.
Awesome video NSF team! I have always had a lot of questions about the drone ships and I think you answered them all. It’s interesting that we get caught up with Starship and forget that Falcons are carrying tons of stuff into space every other day or so.
You are my best Anchor at NSF
Loved the view of the drone ships passing each other!
EXCELLENT Video. Thanks for clearing up a topic few discuss.
Great video! Thank you Ryan!
Great job
Great video Ryan & NSF, Thank you!
Great video. It answered alot of questions I never bothered to ask. And some I never thought to ask
Peter's not necessarily wrong. Having said that, sometimes the only tool for the job is marine assets... no matter how much they might suck.
Very very informative 👏
This vehicle is the Spruce Goose of the 21st Century!
A very good summary of sea-based ops. It DOES all come down to money after all.
Great video! Informative!
The drone ships are named after two of “The Culture” ships in the second Iain M Banks novel “The Player of Games”. Best Wishes
Thank you for this episode it helped fill in some of the blanks in my information about the drum ships
Excellent video.
Great insight
Thank you Ryan & team
Ryan...U R the best host by Nasaspaceflight!🎖️🏆🎂
Appreciate this coverage and education of the marine assets that are needed to support the SpaceX fleet.
Excellent as usual 👌🏻
thanks for the great info ryan
Thank you
Enjoyed this fact filled interesting video. Please make more on all aspects of space x, buildings, locations, dragons, boosters, etc.
Most informative video I've ever seen from you, Ryan! ❤ Keep it up!
I really want to see an OctaGrabber do its thing after a landing.
999K subs....nice one guys. 1Million, You do deserve it!!!
Really good video - I didn't know about ATON that is another great bit of tech SpaceX has developed.
Spacex will change the world
Thanks for the vid!!🎉
great summary, but i missed a word on the fairing net catching approach... that was exciting.
Coffee and space hardware info. MMMmm Gotta luv it!
This is a great review. Thank you
Very interesting video!
Great video!
Ryan top one good work
Very nice!
15:15 I can't believe they sold those plataforms after giving such a cool names xD
Nice work - I have been applying to work in their Marine division for the last 2 years.....Would love to help manage this mini Navy!
great content
Good host. I like the new energy.
Man it's been a long ride to get here!
I still love and am greatly amused by the fact they chose names from the Culture series
I had no idea the drone ships were named after fictional space craft. That explains a lot 8-)
Great video thanks
Thank you Bri. This was very informative!
Excellent job!
Great video really enjoyed, thank you!
nice video
Very informative, thank you !.
9:47 love the sarcasm :)
nice job Ryan
Just because something is worth doing doesn't mean it doesn't suck
Excellent video.
Almost 10 years simce the first successful Falcon9 landing and still, nobody is close. By the time Starship becomes operational along with its intended cadence and rapid reuse.
Where does that leave the competition? I dont think they stand a chance.
It took five years and twenty launches for SpaceX to recover the first Falcon 9. SpaceX now hopes to achieve that for the Starship Booster in 2024 on its sixth launch.
I’m finally erly
Any chance to see a 30+ Starlink mission on an expendable 'bareback' launch?
How about a 25 ton ISS module shaped like a fairing?
Or a 25 ton welded one-piece Cargo+Trunk module with no heatshield between them?
Drone ships with it's own drones :)
Epic! 😎
Great video!
Suggestion: Ryan should introduce himself at the beginning.
I love your show. Excellent work. Please drop the volume of the background Muzak. It’s annoying 😢
9:10 and 10:00. The burn marks on the deck show the booster consistently lands towards the stern rather than in the center of the bullseye. I've seen this on at least one other drone ship, and for quite a while. NSF, do you know why?
CRS-5... I still have the music from that launch stream. They don't play it anymore. :(
Waiting on a comment from Peter Beck himself
Love the video!
Why can’t I watch it with my phone locked as any other video tho? 🤨
I am surprised NSF is not talking about the final Delta IV heavy launch on 3/28 from the Cape, what gives?
Why not use the landing pads as a test bed for new, or testing existing heat tiles?
Is there a reason the "screen off" feature while watching hasn't been working the last few videos? I love listening to these while at work in my pocket but screen turns off and pauses the video
Thats CZcams punishing you for not watching the ads.
@@jameswilson5165 so even though I pay for youtube they r punishing?
Playing videos with the screen off is a CZcams premium feature, you don't watch ads but both Google and the creator make more money from you. @@jameswilson5165
Interesting that SpaceX abandoned the down range booster landing idea for Starship.
