For Real. I was taking a train back to the hotel after visiting a friend - we're from different countries, so it was an emotional, "no-clue-when-we'll-hang-out-again" sort of goodbye. Naturally I was a mess, sitting toward the rear of an empty train car. Unfortunately, I wasn't close enough to the rear, and some random guy took the seat across from me, closest to the door. I was blubbering over a letter my pal had snuck into my bag when Rando starts talking to me. He goes on about how he's had partners from my home country (like I care) and licking his lips. You know, extremely subtle conversation.
I was doing everything to be dismissive when he "asked" if I was coming home after a date. This pissed me right off, since I was actually returning to my (at the time) long-time partner, and I told him such, followed by my 50th "alright, bye."
This shitter starts "guessing" that I must have spent the day with some "lover." (I was clearly far from home; how fast would I have to work to start an affair in another city while traveling abroad with my significant other?) After my "No." and "bye #52," he continues fabricating an elaborate tale of my secret dalliance, how much I must love to party behind my partner's back, and, conveniently, how much he liked dating people prom my country.
Things went from "man annoying me after a great day" to "spending the next two hours wondering if I could bolt to the far door once the train stopped" REAL fast after that. It was bizarre how insistent he was about some whole-cloth fantasy about me and my many affairs that never happened, and how he intended to be my next "conquest." (In retrospect, the fact that my actual partner wasn't the sort to meet me at the train station when I'm travelling alone in a foreign country kind of foreshadowed the whole "ex" thing.)
Another fun detail is that while both of us looked pretty average, I had colorful hair that was hard to miss in a crowd.
Anyway, I didn't get murdered, pulled up my hoodie the second I got a door between me and him, and had an extremely tense walk back from the station. The End.

Just a heads up to anyone coming back to this video, Uber now has a PIN feature where the driver is required to enter a PIN given to you by the app before they can see your destination. This should basically ensure you whether or not you’re in the right car with the right driver before the journey even starts! The app generates a new, unique PIN for every trip as well so it’s always different

I think it was just a figure of speech like he was about to end two other people's lives, he just wanted to hash it out beforehand but could have been going to kill him too. It's great that he left and the guy was caught trying to make a getaway. If the uber driver stayed he might have got away with it

Luckily this guy had some unfinished business or else that guy would’ve robbed him and left him for dead no offense but that’s why a lot of taxis don’t want to pick up black folks because many drivers are scared

Driver also shouldn't beat himself up so much about missing red flags. He was doing what was paid to do and nothing was egregiously wrong yet.
Yeah I was thinking that maybe that's why he asked him how much he values his life. If he values it a lot and has people he cares about then he'll just hold him at gunpoint and try not to kill him, but if he doesn't value his life then he would have killed him if worst come for worse. But, he is a murderer, so we never truly know, their actions are unpredictable, and it can happen in the moment (it doesn't have to be premeditated).
Being any Uber or Lyft or even Taxi driver is something I could never do. You are in a car with dozens of random people every day. Some weird stuff must go down sometimes.
Believe it or not, stuff doesn’t happen that much. In fact, it’s kinda more scary for the passengers because you never know if that’s your actual driver. I get the app tells you but you can always come across a crazy person

You know despite this whole channel being about real messed up shit that has happened in the world, we’re a really positive community. We share advice on these types of situations and all care about the person who makes these videos
Only advice I can share is get a gun you're comfortable using. Learn how to operate and shoot with it, get a carry permit and carry insurance. Carry every day and be aware of your surroundings like the people in these stories. Unfortunately, not everyone lives in a free state that allows people to actually have the means to protect themselves since the police sure as hell can't.

The driver in the second story stated he couldn’t help but feel partially guilty over what happened; the outcome, though, was actually the lesser of two evils. Yes, two people were killed, but the guy was caught...had the driver recognized and gone with the red flags in the convo, and not taken the guy to his destination, it would likely be the driver who wound up dead, with the guy quite possibly never being caught.
Even if he did try to stop the passenger! The guy had unfinished business, he would’ve most likely still gone to that house with a new driver.
Only thing he could’ve tried was honking once the guy went to the back, but it wouldn’t have guaranteed anything and put himself at risk. Calling 911 wouldn’t have saved them either since they were already at the house. He did what he had to do to survive, it’s just sad that he got put into that situation.
He literally could’ve called the cops as soon as he drove off. He had the street address right there! Ugh!

@@m00nrac00n it wouldn’t have guaranteed there the person who got shot would have been saved because he was already in the backyard and the police would have gotten there at least 3 to 5 minutes later after it happened and by then they are both dead ether way

I'm in my mid-30s. I remember a time when we were told to never talk to strangers on the internet, to never give out our address or personal details online, or get into a random car.
Nowadays, we use the internet to talk to strangers, asking them to come to our home address in a random car so we can get picked up. It's crazy when you think about it.
Also as someone who lives in the UK the stock footage for the first story has been mirrored. Everything is on the wrong side and it looks quite trippy, even the GIVE WAY text is backwards.

It's curious: the first story almost happened to me once. I asked for an Uber because I had to reach to work with my brother. It was plain daylight (luckily). The driver started asking a lot of uncomfortable questions, maybe trying to seem nice but it was really awkward for me. I'm a 19-year-old woman, and I wasn't as focused as the person in the first story since it was really hard for me to just lie about my life. The man even started commenting on how adorable and beautiful I am, but luckily enough I told him my brother was waiting for me at my destination.
I don't know how it could have been, but I think it's really important to tell them that someone's waiting for you at your destination just like I did. The driver even took the longest roads just to spend more time trying to talk to me. He even told me he lived near where I live (he probably thought I lived where he picked me up). I just wanted to share this story because I feel like the first story really got me and it could really happen to anyone. Also, I recommend always having someone you know next to you when taking Ubers and those things. It's always better to avoid being alone.

This happened to me once too, except it was a regular cab and not a Uber. The guy kept asking me personal questions like if I’m married or have kids, and I lied and said I have a husband because I didn’t know why he was asking me such a personal question. I figured he wanted to see if I was single and available. It also came off like he was just making conversation but it was creepy nonetheless. I wanted to tell him off but I was scared I wouldn’t get home safely if I did, plus it was a two minute drive, so I toughed it out until he dropped me home.
I'm someone that drove for lyft a few years ago and I can CONFIRM that there's ALSO CREEPY PASSENGERS.
I have a few creepy stories myself.
One story I remember in particular was this woman I picked up around 2am. She sat in my guest seat and looked at me with an unbroken grin that went from ear to ear the entire ride.
She thanked me for the ride tho lol

My husband and I called an Uber at 5AM to get to the hospital because I had a kidney stone and the pain was unbearable. Thank goodness that the Uber driver was sweet and kept talking to us to distract me from the pain until I got to the hospital.

My ex would always sit in the front seat, he never noticed the weird looks drivers would give him. They'd even have to move their belongings, he was just oblivious I guess (he was kind of an ass, so maybe it was on purpose. Weird guy.) I guess it could have been habit ?

That last story gotta be a bit fabricated lol, as a former Lyft driver I know there is no way someone can steal a car and become that Lyft driver lol. Now it is possible that the victim simply got in the wrong car, happens all the time. But Lyft does background checks, makes sure the registration and insurance matches the driver. Always check the plate number and never ask the driver “are you here to pick up (your name)” ask instead “who are you picking up?”

He shouldn't feel guilty for driving a murderer. But he should feel guilty for not calling the police after all the red flags that made the driver want to get out of there.

You never know what he was about to do tho and you can't just assume by the way he acts and looks. Who knows what he could've taken or what his story is, some people are really weird like that. Not trying to defend him but honestly it wouldn't have been my first reaction either. I would just want to get away and end my shift. I have worked in a Café and had some really creepy and strange encounters let me tell you, so it's not like I'd call the police every time...
It would have hard for him to explain the situation. What complained would he have lodged? That he dropped off some sketchy guy in a sketchy neighborhood and drove back? Even if cops took him seriously, those two people would have died anyway by the time they reached there.
@@humayrafaizah1428 He saw that the sketchy guy didn't go to the front door. And in a contry where you can call the police for walking while black, I am sure he could have said something. It isn't up to him if the police came or not. It's about taking responsibility without endangering yourself.

It’s a genuine problem that I want something crazy like these stories to happen to me just so I can send in a story and maybe get narrated, but at the same time, I’m too wary of my surroundings to let most of it happen

If he decides to become hostile, aggressive or threatening, that would be the point in which my dash cams "mysteriously malfunctioned and turned off and I draw my .45 to help change his mind and avoid any potential violence. 😀
However, in reality my adrenaline would be working overtime so as I fumble over my words I would draw down, forgetting to "mysterious malfunction" the dash cam, dropping my .45 and shooting myself in the foot. At which point he adds insult to injury by beating me down while laughing, dragging me out of the car and stealing it. And since it is all caught on dash and I'm completely humiliated I refuse to report the crime and let him keep the car, dash cam and all, only to find out days later that he uploaded the video online to mock me along with the rest of the internet, not even caring about possibly going to prison as the video totally made it worth it.

I looked up uber stories because I just joined uber and the whole thing is backwards; the customers are scarier to the uber driver than the uber driver could ever be to a customer.
Only real ones know which one was from the OG removed video. And recognizes the same images and videos being used.

Something I always do with Uber is send it to the house across the street, or on the street beside my street. Then fidget with my keys for 10ish seconds, or as long as I need to wait before the car drives off. Don’t really feel like being murdered by a car driver
