Late June King Salmon on Spoons- Lake Ontario (Oswego, NY)

- The fishing remains good out of Oswego, NY as we head into late June. Water temperatures are up and the Kings are spread out in smaller pods. 50-90 feet down in 140-180 feet of water was where most of the fish were during the morning hours. Even though the weather was less than ideal on this particular day, darker colored spoons were the hot ticket for getting these big chrome beauties on deck!

425 degrees convection oven, 6oz portion, 12 to 13 min. Last three min put Japanese Costco teriyaki or burn. When going out how far Utah lol dang
You need to wear a tether for the kill switch on the motor and at least a waist pack inflatable vest, especially if you are alone...

There’s salmon there? I thought they didn’t come thru till late September early October…. I fish the Dam in Oswego!!!
They are out in the deep water all summer long and then start staging shallower late summer-September before making their run into the river

@@Matthew-wn8oq All about how they are prepared I think. Parents were never a fan of salmon until I cooked it for them and now they can’t get enough of it lol
