    Zach,
    Can you please do a video on Albany, and other cities north of Berkeley.

      Besides Albany, what cities are you interested in? I've been thinking about making a video about El Cerrito

    Disagree about bike friendliness. Honestly, I think Oaklands bike network is far more functional than Berkeley. My impression of riding in Berkeley is that while drivers cannot go quite as fast on most streets, they do drive in more frantic and anxious ways because they are distracted and in a rush to get places because it takes longer. That’s not the feeling I have in Oakland. Compare riding on major Oakland roads like Telegraph, MacArthur, Fruitvale, around the lake to major roads in Berkeley like San Pablo, Telegraph, shattuck, etc. it’s much more congested and people fly down Telegraph in Berkeley.

    Thanks for the info! I am curious to know what website you used to see the “heat map” showing price per square foot. That looks like a useful tool if a person is preparing to relocate.

    There are nice places to live in the hills of Oakland and Berkeley but you will need to exercise caution with crime.

    You didn’t mention crlme, which is a huge concern for making a decision about where one may want to live

      It does not make sense to mention crime if you are a real estate agent trying to sell homes in these cities.

    Arent the areas both unsafe?

    • @livinginthesfbayarea
      @livinginthesfbayarea  Před 6 měsíci +5

      This is a hard question to answer concisely. Whether or not they are considered "unsafe" will vary from person to person. There are definitely problems with crime in both cities, but they are also sensationalized on the internet and on the news. Unfortunately that is the case in many cities across the US right now.

      Depends on your race and how much money you got. Just dont be an elderly person or you might get beaten to death robbed and the criminals let free due to the racistpsychotic virtue signaling polticians

    Seriously? With its world-class weather, food options, and safe streets, Berkeley is one of the most livable cities in the world.
    Oakland, one of the dead-able cities in the world.

      Berkeley has no food options, just overrated cheese board and a couple pasta spots. The MX food there is really terrible which is weird considering its california. All the food is MID in the bay, no cap either. They got like 10-20 good spots and thats it. everything else is mid that is double the price of the rest of california

      Love living in my hometown of Oakland. It’s no place for cowards, so it totally tracks that you don’t love it.
