    The transmitter can display flow volume in m3/hr, and also send the actual differential pressure to the DCS where the DCS can perform the flow rate conversion.

    Estou com uma dúvida com relação ao modelo 266, ao mudar o range do instrumento obrigatóriamente tenho que calibrar em escala de mínima e máxima pressão?
    Pra gravar os valores?

    Where is showing lower & upper range.
    When we put the ranges it's showing the same range.
    Can it's need to be calibrate?

    Hi Friends Have a good day.
    i have a DP pressure transmitter of ABB 2600T using to measure gas flow in a natural gas pipe line, it show 5 ma at zero pressure when i connect multi meter across it.
    How i can make it 4ma in zero pressure. Can you please advice me.
    Its use to measure Natural gas flow line using orifice plate.its have three way manifold.
    i have tried by push button located top of the transmitter but i have failed as when i pressed zero button its asked a message are you like to go zero ?
    now line gas pressure is zero.but its DCS Reading shows 559.9 cubic nm/h.
    the transmitter display shows PDP value is 1% there however there have no gas in pipeline at that time, i mean gas pressure is totally zero. ENG value also shows 8.2259670 in display.
    My friends i think if there gas pressure is zero so PDP and ENG value should be zero.
    transmitter sends out put to DCS in mmH2O 4C but in DCS display it shows this parameter in Cubic nm/h
    any expert here who can advice me how i can fix this problem using HART 475 or using push button in Tx

      If you plan to use the Zero button on the housing under the swing away plate, your transmitter must have certain options. Let me know the full model code, and I can advise if the Zero button is operable in your model.
      If you have a HART 475, the key sequence from the Home screen (8 options listed) is as follows:
      3 Parameterize, then 5 for pDp, then 1, then 3, then 3 again, select OK, then 1, then OK. Go Back to exit this operation.

      Depending on the Linearization type selected in the Easy Set up, the analog output can be either: linear to the measured DP (linear) or linear to flow rate (square root).

    Is it safe and reliable install an electromagnetic flow meter,next to one water pump?
    Thank you

      @abbwarminsterpressuresuppo23  Před 6 lety +1

      Rui: Generally, flow elements and pressure devices should not be mounted next-to or "near" pumps or compressors in order to minimize pulsation from the impeller and vibration from the pump/compressor motor. Mag meters should be at least 10 to 15 pipe diameters from a control valve, pump, pipe elbow, tee, or reducer. If you wish further details, you can reach out to ABB Flow Tech Support.

    Is that flow real? or need to be corrected ? actually we need temperature and pressure for corrected flow.(if it is gas)

    • @abbwarminsterpressuresuppo23
      @abbwarminsterpressuresuppo23  Před 5 lety

      Flow is a calculated value when using a differential pressure type flow element. Multivariable transmitters allow for calculating mass flow by adding static pressure and temperature compensation of the volumetric flow. Some users incorporate separate static pressure and temperature measurements as separate inputs and allow their PLC or DCS system to do the mass calculation .

      Thank you very much for your respond.But explain me please. we use ABB 2600T in our plant. it is measuring air flow and shows that value on its display. Then DCS calculates Nm3/h. Lets describe it is natural gas.can we take the value on display or we need to convert it to Nm3/h ? I think it must be converted.isnt it?
      if we pay money for each cubic meter we must convert it to Nm3/h. may be I am wrong.

      Assuming that your DCS is "correcting" or compensating for static pressure and temperature changes, then yes. If someone is paying for a specific mass of a fuel gas per unit volume, then they would want the density or mass measurement value. A standard DP transmitter assumes the density of the flowing gas to be constant. In the real world, we know there are variations in density. If these variations are significant ( large swings in static pressure, or changes in temperature) then these dynamic variations should be accounted for in the measurement.

    • @samiragayev5128
      @samiragayev5128 Před 5 lety

      aha.I think now it is clear for me. as I understand the dp flowmeter shows the flow value just for standart temperature and pressure.for example standart atmospheric pressure and temperature. but if any variation then need to compensate. it just ''thinks'' that the temperature pressure density are constant. in our plant the value on display is m3/h. but sending value to DCS is pressure as mmWC.
      Pls tell me if I am writting something wrong.Thanks more

    • @abbwarminsterpressuresuppo23
      @abbwarminsterpressuresuppo23  Před 5 lety

      Samir: A DP transmitter measures DP only. The out of a DP transmitter can be set in two ways: Linear to the measured DP in which case the DCS converts the input signal to a flow rate using square root extraction, or the DP transmitter can be configured to provide an output that is linear to flow using the square root linearization function. A DP transmitter cannot compensate for dynamic changes in static pressure or temperature (ultimately changes in density). Additional sensor/transmitter device need to be used to allow for the changes in density of the flowing gas. The DCS may be using separate analog or digital inputs to obtain the values need to calculated a compensate mass flow.

      Suneel: I have no link to pricing. You will need to contact the ABB channel partner in your area or, if outside the US, then your regional ABB office. If planning to add a display to a blind transmitter, a windowed end cap will also be needed.
