- Remember the 2002 'Skins? No one does.
But hang on, this victory over the visiting Colts is worth a re-look. A rare win over Peyton Manning is a little bit special. And, those retro 70th anniversary uniforms are sharp! It's interesting to hear the announcers gush over Steve Spurrier, and his budding mastery of the NFL game. Well... anyway, the uni's look great! Plus the halftime salute to the to 10 greatest 'Skins should bring a tear to the eye of the truest of fans.

Maaaaaan, those uniforms are so good it hurts. And the colors are what the team should be wearing every game, name change or no: burgundy and gold, not red and yellow.
I had a Champ Bailey 70th anniversary jersey back in 2002. I would love another one.
I did too! Then they traded him for Portis so then I had to get a #26 jersey.
This may be the blurriest era of redskins football for me .

Thanks for posting this - was in 8th grade at the time and my older brother and I were allowed to go to this one (and stay up late for it) without mom and dad. Been to more games than I can count but this one always stood out.

If you have old Skins games on VHS shoot me an email! Making great strides on high fidelity capturing and archiving and always looking for better copies to work with. But generally want VHS copies - having the tapes is essential!

(IMO) These were my favorite alt uniforms for the Skins! In fact, once the white woke left decided our name & helmets were "offensive to native Americans," I HOPED they would use these!!
i did too and the name would be Warriors or Commanche. i would have even went for Tomahawks. Commanders, i'm still trying to get used to that one, lol. Regardless, they will always be my team. Burgundy and Gold forever!
