Tbh, Angela is the most hated in my opinion

Just as long as people remember to hate the characters and NOT the actors who play them because they’re ACTING! It’s awful how many death threats the actors for Jason and Angela have received after S4 aired. Even the girl who played Vickie has been getting hate from people just because they ‘shipped’ Nancy and Robin together.

Yeah, I feel really bad that they got death threats. Besides, Jason wasn't even a villain. He was trying to stop the murders from happening just like the main characters were. If Jason found out that Lucas was telling the truth and realized that the main characters weren't responsible for what was going on, he would have felt awful for his actions leading to things getting worse and would want to redeem himself. Jason was more of an anti hero. With that, Jason is a way better person than Angela.

@@ThinkPlum-ok I actually thought of an entirely different character arc for Jason in which he finds out Lucas found the truth, helps the main characters, and dies heroically. Lots of people say that what I wrote made Jason a better character. Keep in mind that I wrote a lot of stuff. This is my alternate story for Jason...
Jason wakes up after Lucas knocked him out. He sees Lucas holding Max in his arms and is crying and telling Erica to get help. That Lucas is telling Max to hold on. Jason is confused by this at first since he thought that Lucas was going to sacrifice Max. Then when the gate opens up, Jason moves out of the way in time. After it opens, Lucas shouts at Jason saying that this is all his fault. He explains how music was the key to waking up Max, but Jason stepped on the walkman. He explains how Nancy, Steve, and Robin were going to kill Vecna while Max was distracting him. Lucas says everyone is going to die now because of Jason's actions. This leads to Jason hating himself. Not just because that he caused the gate to open. But because his actions has made Lucas just as miserable as he is in which now he'll be grieving over his own girlfriend. When Lucas is at the hospital for Max, Jason shows up to support him, but Lucas tells him to go away. Jason says that he's sorry and promises to listen this time to everything Lucas has to explain, but Lucas is too mad and doesn't want to see him. Jason tells his friends how they were wrong about Hellfire. That Lucas is good. Then when the other characters show up, Jason apologizes for everything he did. Dustin then says how Eddie sacrificed himself and what Eddie said happened when Chrissy was with him. Jason then gets upset knowing that Lucas was really telling the truth. He wishes that he knew what was going on with Chrissy sooner so he could try to comfort her. He also wishes he could tell Eddie he's sorry and thanks him for trying to help Chrissy. He's even surprised to know that the two knew each other in middle school. The characters then proceed by telling Jason and his friends everything that's happened. Just imagine Jason's reaction what really happened Starcourt. Jason would even feel bad that the real reason Lucas never said he was in Hellfire was because he didn't want to be bullied for being a nerd anymore. With that, he could tell Lucas that if he were honest about that before any of this even happened, Jason still would have been friends with Lucas. Over the next two days, Jason tries to convince the police and everyone else that Hellfire was not responsible for what happened, but he knows he can't say anything about the Upside Down. When El shows up, he can say "So you're the super power girl the've been telling me about." When he sees Mike, he tells him he's sorry for the ugliness he's going to get from Hawkins because of everything he told them. Jason and his friends can tag along to help fix up Hopper's cabin for El. They apologize for messing up the place a bit since Lucas made them think Eddie was there. Then when Hopper shows up, Jason will be amazed to see him alive. With that and Hopper telling Jason his side of the story that's happened, this will be the point that Jason's trust will ultimately be hooked with the main characters. This would be the point in which he knows they are not lying. Hopper being alive and even meeting Dr. Owens people that dropped him off will be enough for Jason to know the main characters are good and he will stick by their side to take down Vecna. Even with hearing Will's side of the story of what he dealt with.
If Jason found out the truth early on in season 4, I would have liked to see him and Eddie have an important scene together talking about Chrissy. Just imagine them crying together. Jason would thank Eddie for trying to help Chrissy despite it involving drugs. He appreciates that Eddie was even willing to leave Chrissy alone if she said so. Imagine if Jason and his friends were with Eddie when the guitar solo happened. I think they too would have found it cool. But when Eddie sacrifices himself, Jason would say "What did you do that?" and Eddie would reply "Because... Chrissy would want you to go on." But if Jason sacrificed himself instead, Eddie could hold him and Jason says "I was wrong about you.... You're all right."
Now here's what could've happened if he were in season 5. If Vecna were to target other people, imagine him tormenting Jason. First he would see a dead Chrissy saying he wasn't there for her and that she's mad on what he was planning to do to Eddie. Then a dead Eddie appears saying that Jason turned the whole town against him and now he'll never graduate. Then a dead Patrick appears saying how Jason didn't try to save him and that maybe he wouldn't be dead if he weren't focused on killing Eddie. Then a dead Max appears saying that Jason caused her death and then the gates merging, thus everyone will die because of Jason. She then says "Lucas was right. You ARE a raging psychopath." Then Vecna appears and says "They were weak... just like you." This would be enough for Jason to fight back. He would want to avenge them all, even Eddie. In the end, but the point Max's body is healed and is awake, I can see Jason sacrificing himself to save her and/or Lucas. As he dies, Lucas holds him in his arms. Lucas says he wishes he stopped being mad with Jason sooner so they could work together better, but Jason says it doesn't matter anymore. He's glad to know he died while they were still on the same team. In addition, he's glad he managed to save Max and Lucas so they can have the future that he and Chrissy didn't get to have.

Jason's character arc felt so incomplete without him realizing that Lucas was telling the truth. The whole season, I was waiting to see him find out that he was wrong. If we never knew about the Upside Down or anything else that went on during the show, we would have thought Jason was being a hero. With that, Jason wasn't a villain. He was an anti-hero. He was just trying to stop the murders. Save Hawkins. He just misunderstood what was really going on. And I'm sure the reason why we didn't see the whole town going nuts about the satanic panic is so it can be saved for season 5 in which they give the main character shit saying they're the reason why Hawkins is in trouble. Like Jason's friends wanting revenge over his death. But anyway, people need to understand more that Jason wasn't really a bad guy. I might be wrong, but I think he was inspired by Tommy Jarvis from the "Friday the 13th" movies. He even looks like him. Tommy Jarvis witnessed Jason Voorhees come back from the dead and commit murder, Tommy reported it to the police who didn't believe him, and so Tommy had to kill Jason to prevent anyone else from dying. Jason Craver witnessed Patrick's supernatural death, told the police how Eddie is a vessel for Satan and didn't believe him, so Jason decided he needed to take care of what was happening himself. I literally wonder if he was literally named after Jason Voorhees because of the character's similarities to Tommy Jarvis. Still though, I felt that Jason's story wasn't handled well. If he found out that the main character were good, he could have been helpful to them. We all hated Steve at first, but came to loving him. We all even disliked Billy, but he redeemed himself at the end of season 3. Why couldn't the same be for Jason. I wish he got a redemption arc. Similar to Harry Osborn in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy. He thought Peter killed his father, so he tried to kill Peter for revenge, then he found out Peter wasn't responsible, so he helped Peter fight the villains and save MJ, Harry sacrificed himself to save Peter, and Harry died saying the negativity they went through didn't matter anymore because they were friends. If Jason had lived and found out the truth, I think this is what could have happened...
Jason wakes up after Lucas knocked him out. He sees Lucas holding Max in his arms and tells Erica to get help. Max says she doesn't want to die and Lucas tells her to hold on. Jason is confused by this since he thought Lucas was sacrificing her. He's surprised to see Lucas crying. And when the gate opens up, Jason moves away in time so he isn't killed. Lucas continues grieving over Max. He then tells Jason that this is all his fault. He explains that the walkman Jason stepped on was the only way to wake Max up because her favorite song was the key. He explains their plan on how they were going to stop Vecna. He explains that it's because of Jason that Max is dead, thus leading to the four gates merging so Vecna's army can come and destroy us all. Jason then comes to hating himself. Not just that his actions led to things getting worse with genocide. But also that he caused Max's death in which Lucas will be grieving over her, the same way he has been grieving over Chrissy. Jason hates how he caused someone to be just as miserable as him. When Lucas goes to the hospital for Max, Jason comes along, but Lucas tells him to go away. Jason tells him that he promises he'll listen to everything that has been going on, but Lucas is too pissed off and too upset. When the rest of the characters appear to see Max and Lucas, Jason apologizes for everything he's done. Then when hearing from Dustin that Eddie is dead in which he sacrificed himself to give them all time to kill Vecna and with Dustin telling Jason what Eddie told them on how he tried to help Chrissy, Jason gets emotional. He wishes he could take back how he was with Eddie and wishes he could thank Eddie for trying to help Chrissy, despite it involving the drugs. He would wish he could thank Eddie that he appreciates Eddie being there for Chrissy since Jason didn't know about what Chrissy was going through. Even if the characters show Jason Chrissy's file along with Fred's, it will make him further know that Lucas was telling the truth. Jason will tell his friends that he was wrong about Lucas, Eddie, and the rest of Hellfire. He wants the characters to tell them everything so they can understand what they're up against. With this, Jason would be shocked to know what actually happened at Starcourt. Over the course of the next two days, Jason tries to convince the police and everyone else in Hawkins that Hellfire had nothing to do with the murders, but he knows no one will believe him about the Upside Down and Vecna. When the California group arrives, he tells Mike he's sorry for the ugliness he's going to receive from the town since he's part of Hellfire. With meeting Eleven, Jason will say "So, you're the superpower girl they've been telling me about." Jason and his friends can tag along to help out at Hopper's cabin. They apologize for trashing up the place a little bit since Lucas told them that Eddie was hiding there. And when Hopper arrives revealing he's alive, and with him telling everyone his side of the story, this would be when Jason's trust would ultimately be hooked onto the group. This would be officially when he knows they are not lying and he would stand by their side.
Now, I did want Jason to find out the truth sooner and team up with the group this season. When Jason saw Patrick's death, I thought that would be when he realized Eddie had nothing to do with Chrissy's death. Imagine the two of them together and Jason listen's to Eddie's story on what happened. We could've had an important moment with them together. Even if they did team up, I think Jason and his friends would've liked Eddie's guitar solo. As for Eddie's sacrifice, Jason comes to help him and he says "Why'd you do that?" and then Eddie would say "Because... Chrissy would want you to go on." But Jason sacrificed himself instead, Eddie would hold him in his arms and Jason would say "I was wrong about you.... You're all right... Go. Do it... for Chrissy."
But if Jason did make it for season 5, here's what I think could've happened. If Vecna decides to have more people fall under his curse, I can see Jason being a victim. First, he would see a dead Chrissy telling him that he wasn't there for her when she was being haunted by these nightmares and that she's mad at what he tried to do to Eddie. Then a dead Eddie appears blaming Jason for his death since he was being hunted by him. He blames him for turning the town against him. And that now Eddie will never graduate. Then a dead Patrick appears saying that Jason didn't even try to save him and that maybe he wouldn't have died if he did hunt down Eddie. Then a dead Max appears saying that she's dead because of him stepping on his walkman and that he wouldn't listen to Lucas. And that now, because of his actions, the gates merged and everyone is going to die. She will say "Lucas was right. You are a raging psychopath." Then Vecna appears and says "They were weak... just like you." This would anger Jason enough to fighting back and say "This is for Chrissy! And Max! And Patrick!.... And Eddie." But in the end, Jason would die, but with sacrificing himself to save Lucas and/or Max. With that, Lucas would hold him in his arms saying they'll get him help, Jason says there's no time. Lucas says he wishes he forgave him sooner so they could've patched things up by the time working together to take down Vecna's army. But Jason says that doesn't matter. Jason says he's glad that Lucas and Max are alive because that means they get to live a happy life together since he and Chrissy won't get the chance, but he's glad knowing he'll be reunited with her now. And he says he's glad he died knowing that he and Lucas are still on the same team.
Jason should've died as a hero. Him dying from ignorance just doesn't work. Without a redemption arc, it just feels empty. The death he had with being ripped in half should've been for a true villain. Like Grigori in season 3 when Hopper threw him into that machine. Or the guys that were harsh to Nancy in that season in which how they died at the hospital.

I really don't get why Jason is such a hated character. Yes, the way he dealt with Chrissy's death was extremely unfair, but that wasn't because he was a bad guy. He was driven by anger and grief, and I don't blame him for thinking Eddie killed her. He would have been a good guy if it wasn't for his misunderstanding of the situation, and, although his determination got in the way, I admire how much he looked out for his town.
Also, Mrs Wheeler does not deserve that much hate! She's a great mother and an amazing character herself. She's so sweet, and the scenes where she spends time with her children warm my heart (the Ferris wheel scene with Holly, her talk with Nancy, etc). I get why people dislike her for what she intended to do in s3, but she realised her mistake before she exited the house! Honestly, she's one of my favourite characters. I will never understand how she's more hated than Mr Wheeler.
I definitely think Grigori and Mr Sullivan should be hated more. They are extremely cold-hearted and they do not care about anyone, other than themselves. They both did not stop until they got what they wanted, and were just pure evil. Like, seriously? You'd want to kill a kid because you believe she is the reason of the world ending. There was clearly an easy way to prove if his theory was correct or not, but he was too stubborn to go with that plan. Mr Sullivan didn't care, he just wanted to kill her, which is pretty stupid, considering, if he was wrong (which he was), then there would be nobody to save the town. Also, Grigori killed Alexei and I despise him for that.
    Thank you for reading

He was actually supposed to have a redemption arc in season 1. Originally, Steve was supposed to be an abusive boyfriend to Nancy and he would die at some point. The Duffer Brothers originally intended for Lonnie to be the one to help Nancy and Jonathan fight the Demogorgon. I was wondering why we never saw his reaction finding out that Joyce was right about Will being alive. We still haven't seen him since Joyce kicked him out. I really wish we got to see him finding out that Will is alive.
