I've done kyphoplasty 3 weeks ago on a symptomatic vertebral hemangioma the first week was tough but after that my neurological symptoms have almost gone i can walk with a straight posture anyway always keep in mind that you should care a lot not to stress your spine to sustain the benefits of the procedure my doctor insisted on choosing this alternative over vertebral body replacement so i had to undergo a spinal surgery anyway

1:51 Kyphoplasty may be useful sure, but it should be done as soon as possibile on young people due to avoid huge surgery risks (just a little calcification may provoke vertebra split using the baloon/crick).
How long after a fracture can you have these procedures ? - my fracture wasn’t diagnosed until 5 months after it happened and now it has been 9 months since the initial fracture

I had KYPHOPLASTY procedure done, in recovery I felt I was laying on a Cinder Block & a Metal Rod up my Back, pain has been EXCRUCIATING for weeks. Difficult to walk, not able to bend over, I was able to Bake, & do anything I wanted, not anymore, I have been left with no QUALITY OF LIFE. Nothing helps with the pain,

@@lovetosing249 My husband felt ill within days of the procedure and was told he had the flu. Turned out to be an infection from the kyphoplasty and even IV antibiotics won’t kill it because it’s still within the cement. Have to find a special doctor to remove the cement! Nightmares!!, Hope you found relief.
After the verteboplasty, I still don't know can I do the same things as before and what is the risk of going to yoga, snowboarding and so on, lets say after the first 6 months...The idea my spine is somehow reconstructed makes me feel bad :/

my fiance has suffered so bad for 3 months. they kept telling him he had a pulled muscle. after 2 months he got an xray finally, which showed a fracture, even though he couldn't walk or lie down his dr said it was old and stable, finally he demanded an mri and just as he said he has a very bad comp. fracture and a bulging disk. he was misdiagnosed by 3 drs. worse exp. of his life. he gets this surgery next week. we will update

I am 23 years old and I already have 3 compression fractures on my back. I sadly compressed fractured my T12 similar to the one in the video. Although, mine is a bit more compressed. A neurosurgeon has recommended this procedure for me. The fracture happened in 2016 and I do still feel back pain. My T11 & T12 are so close to touching and my nerves are always spasming. Is this procedure something that will truly helped me in the long run? Has anyone had this surgery and can speak from experience? I am trying to get feedback before I decide to do a surgery on my spine.

Did you have it done? I’ve had a compression fracture T12 that won’t heal…. It’s been 5 months
3 done yesterday. One left to go. The T8 is remaining and quite unbearable.

Kyphoplasty caused severe infection in husband’s spine and into psoas muscles. IV antibiotics won’t kill the infection (e-coli) because it’s within the cement. Drains helped relieve the pain, but muscles fill back up almost immediately. ID doctor is convinced only way to get rid of infection is to find a doctor willing to remove the cement from the two vertebrae and scrape infection from the muscle. What a nightmare! Any suggestions?
I'm kind of going though something like that , I got a lot of inflammation that doesn't want to go away . I've had a epidural shot that didn't help at all , now my doctor wants me to do pain management that I did before and didn't help . I'm in so much pain and can't sleep at night because I can't find a comfortable position to sleep .I have two 8 inch rods in my back and cement and still no relief !!! Time to get a second opinion ! Hope your husband finds some kind relief !

My mon (60 years, osteopytes)suffering L1 compression fracture back pain . Doctor adviced complete bed rest at least 6 months and calsinase nasal spray 1 spray / day continue 2 months , CCM tablet 1 tab / day after meal . What can I do?
