- Hello and welcome to part two of trains at Stafford on the West Coast Mainline where we will continue to see freight from GBRF, Royal Mail, DB Cargo UK, DRS, Freightliner, West Midlands Trains and a special visit courtesy of LSL. Along with the usual passenger traffic from Avanti West Coast and London Northwestern Railway.
This was by far and and away the best day I've had when starting off my year of filming, this is also the reason why I start of at Stafford becuase you're always bound to capture something interesting! And today was certainly no different!
My next film will be from London Bridge. If you have any station recommendations or trackside locations you would like to see me go to then please do let me know and I will see what I can do for you.
You can find me on Facebook through the group Tornado922, there you will find regular updates, videos and photos from all of my goings on throughout 2023.
You can also find me on Instagram through the name tornado922 where it isn't just rail content that I produce.
3:18 what perfect timing
Hi Tornado922. Great part 2 of trains at Stafford. Great 2-tone from 66160 at 3:18. Nice 2-tone from 66604 at 10:17 too. Loved seeing 70000 Britannia doing her stuff for good measure. Looking forward to next film at London Bridge. Kind regards, Chris.
Thanks very much Chris, I had a great time getting this put together!
If you do york can you catch the 91 sire baby Robinson please thanks form your train fan owen brown form the uk United Kingdom northumberland County Durham lynemouth
LNWR's 350/2's will be going soon to be replaced by 730's as with WMT so looking forward to seeing them on the WCML, presumably with other 350s running as well. Great video
Another great video and 70000 Britannia sounds amazing 🍺👍
"that could do with a bit of a clean" is pretty much a fact for most of trains on the UK railway.
Not often a loco makes you jump 🤣🤣 another cracking video. Thank you
It's like the drivers want to keep my on my toes haha!
Britannia is by far my favourite steam locomotive. great shot of her.
This was the first time I had seen her going at speed! It was a incredible sight for sure!
Catch the lner class 91 sir Bobby Robinson at york please from owen brown from United Kingdom County Durham northumberland
what a funny and great video thank you for this🙂
Thank you kindly!
Great amazing video love your video it was truly fascinating m8
Thanks very much that's very kind of you to say
Great part 2 at Stafford the highlight for me was the steam train
Thanks very much! It was a welcome surprise for me as I didn't know it was coming until about 30 minutes beforehand
Really enjoyed both uploads, for me Britannia was the pick of the trains, one of the first loco's I saw bombing through Stratford back in the day. A pity the two 90's had not had some soap and water as well as the 350's. Always enjoy your Stafford visit's lot of variety and good clear views as well. Thank you.
Thanks very much, I had a great day here! There is always something good to be seen here and catching Britannia coming through was definitely the highlight for me without a doubt!
Amazing 👍👍👍 capture 🥰🥰🌹🌹🌹
Thank you kindly!
Both videos absolutely fantastic
Thanks very much!
hi buddy great start to the year as always. A trackside location for you to go to if you haven’t been there, is a location called worting junction which is just outside Basingstoke. It’s junction sends trains either to Southampton or to Salisbury!!!
Thanks very much and thank you for the recommendation! I'll be sure to give that a look when I get the chance to do so!
Interesting video. THX
Thank you kindly!
Amazing
Thanks very much!
Oh wow! A hour long vid. Good job. Its always good at Stafford
Thank you kindly!
@@Tornado922 there apparently is going to be 4 coaches 730's going to LNWR at the moment I'm 13 but I would like to work for LNWR and drive the 730 it's my dream!
A very good Sunday evening buddy from Alan in Lowestoft buddy 👍
Thank you kindly Alan
Very good video. Was enjoyable to watch. 😀
Thanks very much
I love your train videos I'm a fan of you
Excellent railway video as always
Thanks very much!
I Like putting these on on the tv in the background
That's very kind of you
Fantastic video Jared
Thanks very much!
I think we all knew what the highlight of part 2 was! She was certainly giving it what for that's for sure! Hopefully she'll be back in Mainline traffic soon on various charters!
That was my first time catching Britannia on film, loved seeing her flying through!
amazing video jarred and the class 390 dose a pop and a hiss and a whine then a fart is funny and the tones are amazing and the class 805 is replacing the class 221 voyagers
Thanks very much Rafe, I'm glad you enjoyed watching this
It’s interesting to see the change Avanti has done since Virgin were on there way out. Milton Keynes had been impacted a lot with reductions for example. Stations like these including a few on the Trent valley seem to have an increase in services. Quite interesting to see 🤨🤨
I've always found that Stafford was underserved by Virgin Trains and subsequently Avanti West Coast so it nice to see it getting more services call there! Milton Keynes has always been busy and could do with a few more services calling there
Lol i can't find the Britt in the vid Keep up the good work Tornado Amazing vids!
You'll find it eventually haha
@Tornado992 Yep found it thanks😁
@@Tornado922like how you're making fun of maersk containers (which all of them look battered 😂)
Britannia's loaded test run was 5P55 from Coton Hill to Crewe running via Telford and Bushbury Jct on the way to Stafford. I saw it the day before at college (near Wellington Shropshire), really is a good sight if I say so myself
I saw the working on RTT but I didn't know what it was until a couple of people at the station told me that it was Britannia on a loaded test run! It was a great sight to see!
390 155 could have stopped to drop off only
Could very well have done
Like your video 👍
Thank you kindly
I Saw 70000 Britannia At Feltham Last Year When She Was Doing The Royal Charter From Crewe To Windsor & Eton Riverside
It's a great engine to see going at speed!
Can you do Carnforth after London Bridge?
How did the show at Doncaster go?? is that the next station dude..............
The Doncaster show was very enjoyable, I didn't film at the station as I spent the day at the show looking around the various trade stands and the layouts that were there
I was on that 12:47 Edinburgh train
Hope you had a good journey
Can you go Boxley HS1 Section that would be so intresting place
I have been giving that a look over the last few weeks, I will see what I can get done. I'll probably go sometime during the summer
I live in carlisle
on the xr 220s they removed the folding step for fixed steps
Ah right, that would certainly explain it!
I thought the new West Midlands trains would replace the 323’s on the cross city line?
WMR 730s are to replace the 323s
LNR 730s are to replace the 319s and 350/2s
@@RWL2012 thank you for clearing that up :)
What will your next station be?
Which trains at was the one where you had the massive horn tone the really loud one on one of the freight trains which station was that and when if you remember sorry
I think that was the Freightliner 90's storming their way through Nuneaton last year
Please can you do Carlisle after this?
I will be getting Carlisle done later this year when I get the chance to do it
can you see if you can go to newcastle this year
I will see what I can get done for you
also I have a question: what is the best station to go to on the ECML that is as south as York and as north as Berwick
Good chance 390155 was doing a drop off only.
That could very well be the case
42:41 is the steam
Can you please come to Eastleigh station My local station thank you.
I will try and get Eastleigh done sometime this year for you
@@Tornado922 Thank you i can't wait meet you.
42:46
390's steps go in and 220's and 221's steps permanently stay out
You would have thought after all the years I've spent doing this that I would have noticed the steps not retracting on the 220 and 221 units.....
@@Tornado922 Yeap it still gets me every time.
3:18
Carlisle please
I will get Carlisle done at some stage this year!
Hey can you do a shout out at crew please at some stage please thanks form owen brown
You talking to your self makes your videos buddy
I enjoy my own company it would seem haha
🤓
😁
You talk to yourself to much vids are ok !!!
It's something I will always do, adds some humour to my films
