  • Almost a month has passed since the release of Wuthering Waves, an open world, action-heavy anime RPG. This video will show you the comparison of exploration QoLs between Wuthering Waves and its supposed competitor, Genshin Impact.
    The last part of the video is not to be taken seriously...unless??
    (it is a harmless jab lmao)

    Genshin be like; make one of the QOL exclusive to one character that you must pull/pay to make traversal better
    Meanwhile in Wuwa, everyone and their grandpa can do it anytime anywhere

    Money worth investment goes to Kuro for me. Sure it has 50 50 on character banner but at least the weapon is a guaranteed one.
    Kuro knows that scamming players will leave a bad taste in their mouth.

    Hot take: Hoyo being a multi billion dollar company vs Kuro a multi million $ company
    One being 4 years to cook while the other got a month n some
    One got a pandemic buff the other is(?) riddled with bugs
    Yet Kuro still winning the contest
    Like, Kuro was so held back yet they still come out on top

    if genshin will make QOLs like wall climbing, double jump etc etc. imagine How many players would rage and ask for a refund for the traversal 5 star characters they got using their piggybank. unless they got it luckily f2p.

    Genshin feels so dull now that i play wuwa too
    And all these qol actually being locked behind gacha is just so annoying to me
    In wuwa i don't need to pick between a combat team and a exploration team - the graple is always there, inferno echo can be put on everyone and so can the little dollector that also heals when in combat, i can run up the wall & what i love most is that dodging is an intended mechanic and not players taking advantage of s & parry is not limited to 2? Maybe 3? Characters

    no one mentioned this...wuwa qol moves are default to all character vs genshin is tied to specific character.

    Okay first of all...... Fingers crossed you won the 50/50. Second, even if you are kidding, I won't be: Genshin was always worthless, felt like torture to play and only got worse the more verticality got added to the open world WuWa spares the players that and more needless hinderance, anxiety and loss. The QOL comparison lets you see which one failed upwards and which one... well... is actually good enough to play! Hoyo aren't smart for selling QoL through characters. They are absolute scum for that and a bunch of other reasons too! Know the difference!
    Now if only Kuro didn't copy certain other flaws from genshin such as the pure RNG based equipment.
    But hey! What do I know? I'm probably the only one who hated riven gambling in Warframe...

    Besides the wall climbing QoL never ending stamina running outside of combat which should be added into Genshin, some point showcases in this video doesn't seems much relevant.
    Like why does Double Jump needed to be mentioned here?
    When Kazuha skills served a more combat roles then Wuwa air dodge which mostly use for dodging.
    Like the only common is they give you a slight increase in heights.
    Enhanced Sprint and Dash.
    It would happen better if you use your Yelan you have to showcase this more then Ayaka where her Alt Sprint is more combat orientated like Kazuha before this.
    Since what i assuming you want to showcaae how you can traverse a long distance of land quickly between the two game.
    High Jump / other way of moving around.
    Wuwa and Genshin have their own traversal mechanic seperate from character kit.
    So it abit disingenuous to not showcase that like having the characters with special skills to levitate certain things is nice but don't act like that is everything.
    Farming
    What you showcase with Mining ore is a good one since you can mine through wall and more with some echo.
    However i disagreed with comparing Nahida and the Echo since it keep being stuck on things and last for like 10s instead of moving along side you infinitely and collect thing whenever you run past thing.

      See, you are trying to steer the topic into "but this is combat mechanic".
      Genshin has no double jump by standard. Kazuha's skill is the closest and sure, it's combat oriented but to deny that the devs designed it without double jump in mind is just wrong. Why not make it so he can't cast it airborne then? Or why not make it so he stays on the ground?
      The enhanced sprint is still on point. You can't just say "it's combat oriented" because most of the time it's used for traversing.
      Your comment in regards to the High Jump is simply you denying that it's something. The community used all of those to make their climbing process easier.
      The Nahida comparison thing is debatable considering my point was that WW simply provides you with the similar amount of tools as Genshin's but without you having to gacha for it. So far the rock dude never got stuck for me. It's slow, but it does its job.

      Kazuha have it being able to cast his skill mid air is also because he have a unique effects on plunging attack since Genshin normal jump can't perform a plunging attack, so forcing him to only be able to so it on the ground only would too annoying for a skills that supposed to launch him up to perform that unique effects from his plunging effect.
      Ayaka sprint have it own unique effects of infusing your attack with Cryo and have a passive skills attach to it.
      Hell if you want to steer it back to traversal only you didn't include her alt sprint unique ability of moving on water.
      Not everyone gonna have the characters nor have that character/echo and whatever item that increase mobility on both game equipped all the time so the Developer had to have in game traversal stuff seperate from the player. So people aren't pause and wait to switch character.
      Depending on area but that darn thing always stuck on a slight elevated terrain since it mostly run straight at the thing it want to collect. Unless 1.1 fixed the path findings it since I had never use it again after abun of time seeing it stuck.

      @@Aibadenshi Why not make Kazuha's skill an immediate plunge then? Pretty sure the devs wanted to put in Double Jump.
      Sure, Ayaka and Mona can travel ontop of water. Furina can do it, so can Kokomi. But the comparison is about what each game has in common, not what the games don't have. That's why I put high jump & wall run in the same category as Wanderer's flight and Albedo's platform.
      You have most of the functions equipped, actually. Since wall-run, double jump (and triple jump with hook) and no-stamina sprint is all there by default you just need each character to have the specific Echoes equipped as their main. For example, I can just equip Rover with Dreamless for mining and the other two member with whichever option I want (Inferno Rider, Cyan Heron, etc). In Genshin, you only have four slot and you have to have the characters first.

      ​@@GodSejeongTbh Idk why they did it with Kazuha but it most likely a QoL come from play testing.
      Then use the Yelan you have in the video instead of Ayala alt Sprint that isn't faster then base.
      I agree that Wuwa have better wall scaling, since it and outside combat stamina needed to added.
      But there are more thing that you could use in Genshin to scale thing like overworld interactable stuff so you don't overly rely upon character skills.
      And not everyone gear the same to have the same QoL at every moment.

      @@Aibadenshi In Ayaka's case it's not about the speed, but the sustain. Yelan's dash may be faster but it has a cooldown. Ayaka's dash, while they consume stamina, is kinda better for longer run
