The main problem with the peten is that it has no Missile Approach Warning System, which means any sam can kill you without you ever getting a warning unless you see the missile. The best way to use it is to find a mountain to hide behind and try to mask yourself from the enemy spawn, where most of the AAA is, and then start killing enemy tanks that push to the middle of the map.
The second biggest problem is the abundance of kamovs. If theres a single Ka50, Ka52, you really cant do anything but hide. They can kill you effortlesly from 10 km away, and you can only sometimes get them if you close to 3 or so km in order to launch a missile.
I would not recommend it for full price, but for half price I would. At least for me it is fun to try to survive and thrive in helicopters
This thing struggles more against ka50/52 than SPAA... I found numerous occasion when I just poped up in the helipad and immediately get lased by a kamarov 10km away (this is significant longer than what the longest range all hellfire variant can reach) and seconds later you got shot down
Not to mention their Vikhr missiles travels around 50% faster than Hellfires.
but tbf thats all helis problems on heli EC.

in my opinion i think that helicopters will be the future of top tier cas. even when we see stuff like the a10 and the frogfoot, they wont be able to be as tactical as a tiger uht or an apache with agm114L which are fire and forget hellfires

@@mjohnsimon1337 nope,for the ka50&52, they can use vikhir proxy missiles to nullify the aa missiles, for other helicopters, they can simply not be a muppet by using terrain so they don't get shot down, or use rockets to trigger the aa missile proxy

as a person who buyed this heli: NO.
the hellfire I sucks. the AGM autisticly pulls manuvers it cant compensate for and ends up missing evrrytime the target moves. i legit had one time where i launch all 16 hellfires and THEY ALL MISSED!
it gets slaughtered in heli EC aswell.
its not a bad helicopter, it IS a ah64a copy, but there are way better options for a premium and its BR is nonsensical. buy the german mi24p ot the ka50.
like seriously, does gaijoob REALLY think this needs a BR equivelant to the ka50?
It's because stats man. I see document saying this thing can withstand 23mm and heavily amored, but one time I got on fire to a 7.62mm

I have the AH64A I do pretty well in it, just map dependent not every map is a good map for a heli, unless you are a KA 52 that can stay 10km back and spot with your thermals. So to you I would suggest you watch the youtuber called "Hunter" he is a good heli pilot and watching his videos you will learn how to position your heli for best results. Also hellfires dont work well from close range it becomes hard to track moving targets, youre also not supposed to just lock a target fire and keep it locked because the moment the target moves behind a tree or a pole your lock goes crazy and so does the missile, its not a Hellfire problem its the same with all laser guided AGMs. What you're supposed to do is manually guide the hellfire close to the moving target and lock at the last seconds if you think there are no obstacles in the way now or just manually guide it all the way otherwise. Shoot 2 hellfires a few seconds apart with the first if the target is hard to hit, just make sure to track it by manually guiding the AGM in and then lock it for the top down hit from the second AGM that you launched 4 or 5 seconds after the first 1. oh and be at least 3 to 4 km away from the battlefield for the AGM to track correctly. Often times I stay at 7 kms just for safety although it then makes hellfire travel time longer which ends up being 15-17 seconds, but its safer so I prefer it.

honestly i have no idea why not many people pick SPAAs. everyone say that ka50s dominate toptier but i always kill them immedietly efortlessly.
i had one game where 2 ka50s wete destroying my team and someone cried on the chat how the ka50 should be removed. so i died, spawned in a FlaRakPz1 and shot them down easily. i asked him why he couldnt do it himself and he told me he didnt even research the first SPAA.
There are two ways to get good in helis.
Always first spawn, then camp enemy heli base or air spawn from behind with the nice AAM.
The other option is, especially at single spawn maps, rushing with unguided missiles in the fight and always stay around 90 degrees over the targets.
Then make a very quick cannon and rocket attack and get up again.
Repeat until the enemy team finally gets you (but most won't even with Gepards and stuff) or leave the game because their are so annoyed.
i allways use the 8 Hellfire and 38 Haydra loadout. you dont have the stinger missiles but aggainst players they miss like 90% anyways. you dont need 16 Hellfire. you normaly die bevor you can use them all. but what the Hydra allows you to do is you can lock on to a AA shot your Hellfire at it and you can use your Hydra to shot the AA missiles out of the sky in 3. person, bevor the can reach you because they explode at the range of the hydra rockets. that way you can easy kill AA and stay alive mush longer.
I bought it today just by accident. I wanted to get the KA 50 because I want to try that cancer but it popped up as a link to buy apache not the ka 50 if you get what I mean
Oof. But still its not the worst. You can probably grind the American helicopters which isn’t that bad. But you’ll probably get rekt by kancer 50
It's been a while since your last heli review from what I can remember. Would you consider reviewing the A-129 International as the next one? Got a feeling it might come back as a GE premium this anniversary
I have this and can strongly recommend it. The downside is that with the constant BR changes is that it doesn't have a good line-up around it.
If you want 9.7 max, the helicopter is it. 10 is a bit stronger. But frankly, as Gaijin keep stuffing the BRs up, buying ANY premium with the mindset of, "that will compliment my X lineup" is not wise.
Not being able to have AA missiles at the same time as AGMs is not a problem with thia helicopter. The gun is very effective against close aircraft and the AGMs good against other helis and dumb plane pilots.
@@jetnavigator currently 9.7 helis are very powerful against the US, as their only SAM will never face them anymore. Rolands are still a threat but you have a chance against them, and the 2S6, well... good luck.
@@jetnavigator I honestly just want a heli for my italians, but grinding through the A-129CBT and all it's mods seems like a big chore. On the other hand the International comes with hellfires off the shelf, which is the only part I care about. And for a lineup with the Ariete (p) and the Dardo it's a great fit. I would probably bring it to top tier too anyways, so thankfully I don't have to worry about BR changes.

pretty good , i got it 1 week ago have reached rank 7 in ussr , also i out turned 1vs 1 2 drakens so far with vertical climbing them , also you can play it as fighter if you get the rockets with proximity fuse , pretty fun and u always make money
I dont think you had best take on why people get it... It's not really about grinding other helis. It's more about not having to grind them anymore, as you pretty much already have the best heli in US tree. The radar doesnt make as much difference really. KA-50 on the other hand serves purpose of grinder heli as both MI-28 and KA-52 are better helis.

You should fire one of your Hellfires every 6 seconds, and after each of thoes missles hit you wanna chage your laser to illuminate another target. Do this and you can shoot all your 16 Hellfires asap, kill as many enemies as possible and get back to airport to rearm.
Me who got 16 kills with this in ground rb and grinded the 64D in 3 days.

@@EDP-6000 a real problem with the ka50 is that it is pretty much long-range only for missiles. It has such a narrow targeting window that it's difficult to, well, target anything if you are reasonably close.
Long-range missile shots are difficult if the target is moving between trees & buildings. I find the ka50 to only be useful against people who like to park out in the open, which is increasingly rare.

Can't stress enough how slow the hellfire missiles are. Unless you can look 30+ seconds into the future or get very close to the match in ground rb this thing isn't gonna help.

I really want to grind out the German top helicopter for the fire and forget missiles. But I don’t know if it’s feasible in the current sim meta spam of Ka-50s. Anyone got any tips?
buy the premium german heli, invest in premium and suffer essentially. the Ka problem isnt going anywhere any time soon.

ground assault. you can see both grounf assault and air assault gamemodes in the gamemode list where you usually see air RB, ground RB, ect.
you can bring both tanks and helicopters to ground assault, although if you are intreeted in grinding the longbow, assault is a trtrible gamemode to grind on. not only its arcade, but apperently tailsmans dont work at assault modes.
