I have had EVERY Ford motor in a van, and LOVE LOVE LOVE the 2014 v10. You are correct ...that 5r110 is AWESOME . I had a standard 2014 van ambo 10k# pounds and ran down turnpike, at 65 cruise on, 15, and 15.5 mpg. Respectable. Pulled my skidloader easy peasy.
How much did the 4x4 conversion run ? They told me they would pass on my van being a 2013 Chevy with the 6.6 Duramax diesel. Ended up using someone else but it was $24,000
I took my 7.3 EBP UJoint van to Drummond Island, MI during breakup and could not get it stuck no matter what dumb things I tried. Great company to work with.

Quigley on 33" w a 4" Dana 60 Coils up Front..my v10 pulls 12-14 MPG All Every Day up hill in the Wind Doesnt Matter 80-90 mph plus not pulling . No Seats Factory Carpet Dual AC w Flip Down DVD, Stock Stereo is Great ! GO TRUMP ! MAGA
I have a similar van with 60k miles with 5.4 and 4R70. My transmission lost all forward gears suddenly. Do you see 4 speed transmission issues with the 4x4 conversion and 35s?
My local ambo service ran a BIG fleet (75 vehicles) the v10/5r110 NEVER had an issue. The 5.4 /4r70 would get 160-180k per original tranny, the old Ford remans were good for 50-75k. Those Ford reman have turned to shit as of late (per large Ford dealer trans specialist)
If he isn't in a van by the river, the smart money says he is at the gas station! It must take forever to get anywhere if you have to stop at every gas pump!

Not often but our guy gives them some updates and new parts to add some durability
