Try H.264 thats mp4 format and you shouldn't get any problems with it, if you are exporting using after effects render there isn't H.264 format, so I would suggest you download adobe media encoder and render it that way for the most efficiency
No it doesn't ruin it. Do upscale first, then render the video, then import an upscaled rendered video and apply effects to it, that way it's quicker to preview
I want to change 1080x1440 to 1440x2560 but why does the width go wider? I understand the height stays the same which would be black bars. But in Vegas when I changed, it only had black bars on top and bottom not the sides? Can you understand?
Maybe because the difference in pixel aspect ratio, 1080x1440 is non square pixel ratio while 1440x2560 is square pixel, you might need to sacrifice a part of the footage while scaling to fit then
You can upscale a photo or a video when rendering with an upscale applied. You would have to create a 4K composition and then upscale the footage to match with the composition size😊
Hey...can I upscale 1080 video to 4k...than precompose it and than turn back composition to 1080...my question...will my 1080 video be in better quality after this process??

@@awigta4 sorry for the late response, I checked out the clips and from what I've seen, I can say that After Effects built in upscale should be able to recreate that quality, it would take a long time to render though which is expected for 4k resolution

@@sethtag8523Rendering in After Effects and importing the AEP file to Media Encoder makes it take longer if you use other filters in it. Also if you don't have an Nvidia GPU that is at least 20 series with good VRAM it will take longer. Thank you for this option info. I don't really think 8mm footage can be in genuine 4K. But the improvement in clarity is there. Thanks a lot.

can this software handle large videos like 10 to 20 minutes and change the resolution to 1080p
Yes it can, it might take a long time to render that much though
Hey man, do you have to wait till the bar is fully green to start rendering your video after upscaling?
Hey, no you don't have to wait for it, you can start rendering straight away.
@@SmertimbaGraphics Man i just wasted 4 precious hours watching that bar fill up 💀, thanks for the help tho 🤝
Daamn 😁 technically the green bar speeds up the render time, so you didn't waste it all, but it's not mandatory

Yes, absolutely
Cool!
How to upscale AE Project from 1080p or 720p to 4K?
You can upscale a photo or a video when rendering with an upscale applied.
You would have to create a 4K composition and then upscale the footage to match with the composition size😊

If it doesn't work on a pre-comp, just place the video into 4K composition, without pre-comp, that's how I usually do it, should work fine😁

i need help when i press fit to comp width or height it does nothing, im on ae 2022
Try manually increasing scale until your footage fits the comp
Is 25% the appropriate size to set before upscaling?
You mean to set the native scale of a video to 25% and then upscale?
