The road has not been easy for “Dance Mom’s” star Abby Lee Miller. After completing her prison sentence last year, the famed dance instructor was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Erin Babbs is seriously the most professional dance instructor there is. the elite team has competed against her and things got messy and she still has a positive mindset for the girls and puts the differences aside. let's be honest, if that was Abby, she would've passed passive-aggressive comments and given half baked dances

That was when I lost all of my respect for Erin babbs and the entire MDP because those seems to be the values she’s instilling in her team: that it’s a bad thing to finish what you started with the people you love the most. Honestly, I wish season 4 that Erin Babbs would of taken over for Abby, cuz just imagine that positivity and it probably would of prevented Kelly and Christie from leaving. Abby became so toxic to the show. It could of been on longer without her when the fame went to her head. Erin probably would of gave them everything they wanted: support, training, respectful.

Sorry Jasmine I am not sure I agree with your statement ( every one is different and unique and all of us see this world from a different point of view ) . I honestly would have to vouch for Abby and Gianna ‘s choreographed dances more . I love 💗 their choreography oh so much , although at the same time I have to agree Erin seems like a well spoken , humble and over all a lovely ☺️ person to meet in real life . However I am not sure 🤔 if I think this way because maybe the producers may have certainly painted Abby to look like the bully and the person who makes children cry 😢 for some odd reason and my other reason supporting this statement is in the videos I watch from Jordan Matter , Abby doesn’t seem all that bad compared to the the way we usually see it on Life time or on Dance moms .

@@suhasinik7344 I think that when Abby choreographed without Gianna it just didn’t look mature enough, and it didn’t challenge the girls, but I think when Gianna choreographs alone it’s quite amazing.

Abby's Choreo gets 1st hers was 3rd.
Abby really is a great group dance choreographer. But a lot of choreo on the show is from Gianna and other teachers. You can tell when a dance is choreographed by Gianna. Also, they choreograph to get the most points at competitions, which isn't always the nicest to watch and tends to contain a lot of the same old elements. I thought some of the group dances in the later seasons and especially season 8 were incredible.
@@Vasilia4 People have different ways of choreographing, some prefer to choreograph themselves since they know their styles best, some prefer professionals to choreograph, some like choreography from movies, some like choreography to win competitions.

Actually most of Abby's/Gianna's choreography gave special part or spotlight to every dancer, for like 10 seconds. Lifetime used to cut most of it

@@quinnfaith3981 special part refers to one person doing some trick or choreography they are good at while all others in the group do a different choreography. Most of Abby's choreography did give such special parts to dancers who a couple of seconds, where they got to dance front and centre for a trick or 2. At least in the dances before the show, or the ones not shown completely in dance moms. Nia, Kenzie and Paige usually got tumbling or leaps, Chloe and Maddie got turns or jumps, Brooke and Kendall did some beautiful acro, etc.

You are being practical, I am being realist. If everybody is doing special parts, they are not being special. They would all do a step different from the others, but when all of them would be doing the dame dance after that “special part” Maddie would be still doing a “special part” that is the reason it is special. Cannot blame Abby though, Maddie was amazing

Holly ALWAYS stood up for her daughters without having to attack another dancer. Abby has NO respect for any of those dancers, she used and abused them. If it wasn’t for the original girls she would have lost her dance studio and would have been broke.

@@jenniferlawrence9473 there is a difference. They were on contract. Only reason Christie was able to get out the contract was because of the disgusting thing Abby told Chloe. Holly couldn’t leave or she would have had to pay a lot of money for breaking the contract.

Erin is very mature and has choreography for the girls. The girls would have been so much better technically especially Nia since Abby never really cared about Nia. Erin would be a great.
Watch the clip nia is worried about her granddad abby supported her there and when cathy showed up at nationals if u look closely in season 6 or 7 abby hugged nia! THE PRODUCERS TOLD ABBY TO BE MEAN and I'm sure the producers were the one making the pyramid and giving out the solos

I think it was hard for Abby to see the girls grow up. And between Maddie, Jojo, and Mackenzie leaving. I think that’s why she brought the mini’s in, because she works better with little kids. Her choreo for the big girls is far too immature and not advanced enough for them.

This can't be entirely true, because Abby has choreographed truly amazing dances for seniors. If you watch the original twilight with John Fiumara as the lead, or the group dance Baby in a box with Gianna's group, you'll see her real choreography is actually amazing. Maybe the producers had some influence on the choreography in the show.
@@fortheloveofcats2462 Oh, it's been proven the producers did have a say in the music, dance, choreography, and many other things throughout the entirety of the show. A lot of the more riskay dances, especially, were chosen by producers. Abby protested but never got the final word or got to deny the riskay dance.
Now, that was fixed. He is always the announcer. And the look on his face showed he knew he wasnt telling the truth.
He’s also close friends with Abby so.. I’m not surprised if her or the producers fixed the scores or something
The production is known for rigging competitions and that dance competition is very close to Abby so I wouldn't be surprised if it were rigged or fake

It's so sad how when they were younger she wanted them to do high level and more mature dances, but then when they grew up they started doing baby dances and never got show off their improvements with higher level choreography. It's like when they were young they did hard dances and when they got older it was easy baby dances.
I think it was season 8 (might be wrong) when they scored 300 for like every single dance??? Those were not baby dances and they were the best dances on the show. People just say whatever and think it’s true.

I LOVE Murietta Dance Project’s dances!!! She is an amazing choreographer!!! The solos she did were so good!!! I’d much rather my daughter train at MDP over ALDC. I think Erin is better all around. Abby says she’s lost more talented than this... she DID lose Chloe, Brooke, Paige, Maddie, Mackenzie, so I guess, in a way she’s right. The OG’s were a amazing team. They deserved better than Abby

I feel like abby doesnt really care about the older girls because she knows they will leave her just like Maddie did and she will be left with nothing or no one. Thats why she invests so much energy and time into the minis so HER legacy lives on.
Maddie didn’t leave her, she decided to develop in all areas, and not be limited to dancing, it’s clear that if you are given the choice to go to a competition or act in films, you will choose to act in films, this is more productive and effective than going to some competitions for 6 years

(My two cents as a former competitive dancer)
Abby’s choreography is really technical (turns, leaps, jumps, lines) and the girls compete it constantly and have it drilled into their heads. These dances score well when the dancers can perform it elegantly, which they do.
Erin’s choreography is more artistic, and while it can score just as well or better, it is more difficult because the dancers have to be together to the millisecond and committed to the story and movements. This is easier the more you do it, the more you recognize the movement and can experiment with it.
The dance would have done better, but the fact of the matter is they’ve danced with one teacher who focuses more on technique than the movement in general, making it more difficult to move artistically and to probably learn the dance as quickly.
Abby’s dances can be repetitive but the girls are also amazing at doing them. (She was also super unprofessional, like wtf, would never happen at any self respecting studio) Erin’s dance wasn’t together and it wasn’t exciting. It was a new choreographer and the stage was tiny and they had a butt ton of stress.
A common dance saying is “different judges, different day”. Stuff like this (technical v. artistic, order of dances, time of day, if the judges ate) makes it really difficult to judge dances and highly subjective.
*the elite team is Abby’s dream team they ARE the kids with the most talent that she’s ever coached and it would be a disaster if Abby lost them*
IDC how much hate I get, but I'm glad some of the moms (not Holly) finally got the treatment that Christi and Kelly got for years. Kinda wish Melissa had been there too. Like, they were so used to being the favorites and getting everything and *basked* in that glory, leaving the other kids and moms in the dust. And, of course, when it's them who finally get mistreated they freak and this happens.

I think Erin's choreography was mature and gave the girls something refreshing, instead of the boring kiddie dances Abby kept throwing at them. It can explain why Abby prefers working with minis/juniors more because her choreography was never going to be challenging and daring past age 13.
Abby’s choreograph is for competitions and Erin’s choreograph is for performances. Both are good in their own way.

Besides the topic of this episode, I think Abby is good but when she gets angry she doesn't think before she speaks and says anything. That is what happened with chole . If Abby could have shut her mouth and had not said anything about chole's syndrome chole would have never left
I think Abby is bad but had good tendencies/potential and was more good at first and then time went on and she became even worse than she already was. I do agree that she needs to control her mouth and her mind because who even thinks that about a child??

These woman were only there for the fame and the show. No1 would ever stick with a woman like Abbie as she was constantly losing her mind, storming outta situations that she caused and the way she treated everyone. They ALL wanted the fame and it was worth anything in their eyes
Well the thing is that the moms had contracts that locks them in for a year and if they leave within that year, they would have to owe her $100k in cash. I knew this bc a Dance Moms clip and it was when Kristie Ray first joined the ALDC.

Erin’s dance has choreography and abby’s is turns and leaps. Erin is a very nice person.
Loved the dance. I just wish they did something more creative for the bowl and flour. Seeing someones mixing bowl on the ground with some flour took me out of the story, however I do think it worked well enough in the end and Nia did a great job with her solo part, but I wish they covered the bowl somehow or even painting it black so the flour was more of a surprise and it could've been less of an eye sore and more eye catching. either way it was great and it worked and I think the only reason they got 3rd was because there was some mistakes and they had a hard time staying together in some parts but overall I wish they just kept Erin because thats the training they needed
