Some interviews are awesome like this. Sometimes big names don't entertain this much and I would say are not even honest. They are concerned about "reputation". Parthiv interview was real fun and very honest. Loved it. 👍

Playing for 20years and still trying to play for Indian team is incredible irrespective of calls from selectors. Dedication level is incredible. No chance of taking out Dhoni, DK is there as a WK and finisher, KL Rahul, Pant but still he is trying more than his level best to play for India. I haven't seen him in blue jersey for over 10yrs. He's trying. That's some dedication towards game and country.

His keeping that series was horrendous though and that's y he was dropped otherwise he was thought as the keeper for the future decade, I m glad he accepts he didn't keep well, but yes with the bat he always fared well even in that phase,

Absolutely, you were correct in saying "stop requesting for dhoni"..All good players are forgotten.
Seriously He has been trolled on numerous occasions... nobody is perfect, but trying is what matters. Parthiv is such a genuine person. Loved this casual interview with him. And Gaurav has such a good quality too, in making conversation so that they feel more relaxed and comfortable.

Such a candid and honest interview. Loved the bit about him taking responsibility for his performance. You could literally see the awe on Gaurav Kapur's face when he said that. Feel for Parthiv, he worked very hard, just that luck wasn't on his side. I had the pleasure of meeting him in Ahmedabad at a Subway way back in 2004, where I got his autograph. His friends were over the moon when I recognized him and spoke to him about the Australia tour. But he was so shy and down-to-earth.
And of course, Nehra ji's cameos are gold! One of your best episodes, Gaurav!

Maybe not for India but for Gujarat he has been a phenomenal captain and cricketer. Under his captaincy we won domestic T20, Vijay hazare and Ranji Trophy all for the first time. Credit for Bumrah's early progress goes to him.
