Can’t dissociate Nixon from the US president. “I am not a crook” 🤣
I have a friend Hunter who thinks of his name as a synonym for seeker, one who seeks for truth, for example. I love the name.
Yes I love that interpretation xx
@@SJ_Strum please reply to my comment
wow I love this
I love Atticus for a boy! Especially paired with James as a middle name. Then AJ for a nickname!
That was on my boy name list xxz
I love Elio but I like how it is pronounced in “call me by your name” - With the emphasis on the “El” at the start instead :)
I still haven’t seen it!! On my list :-)
@@SJ_Strum It is really great! One of my favorite films!
Love your blush color and beautiful makeup. Please post what colors/brands you use. Of course, thank you for the names inspo.
Basil reminds me of John Cleese's character Basil Fawlty. Hilarious!
YES I associate the name Basil with that too!
And Basil Brush. 😄❤
He's such a fox (wink, wink)!
I’m always on Pinterest so I love how you chose this video!!💙💜
Atlas is one one my favourite boy names. Love Atlas Orion, as a first and second name combo. ❤️
Soo handsome
My five year old daughter is named Navy! ❤️ It’s funny to see it pop up on lists now, because I couldn’t find it anywhere when she was born!
I love it but probably heard it here first. where did you come up with it?
A youtuber also has a daughter named Navy, that’s where I heard it from. I don’t remember who it was, it was one of those nights where I was watching random channels that I never subscribed.
If I ever have another daughter I'm naming her Navy Coast Walton o have had the name picked out forever I love the Name Navy it's beautiful
Would you be able to do a. Barbie movie baby name list? The characters in the movies have the most gorgeous names like Corinne, Genevieve, Liana, Hadley, Alexa, Clara, Annika, Aneliese, Erika and Blair
I was literally just looking at names from the Barbie movies last night lmao I'll type them out for you
I love your videos. I started following because I had a pet to name. Now I'm hooked. Your videos are interesting and fun. I love the themes you explore and the meanings behind the names and I enjoy your delivery. Cheers to you.
Having a personal baby name crisis..*sigh*.. can't even talk about it with friends and family without getting frustrated.. your videos are all that are keeping me interested in naming this kiddo. So thank you!
Oh I love that you have a Frederick! Our little Frederick was born in October and everyone always says “you don’t hear that often anymore” and I think it’s just the most handsome name! X
I’ve been obsessed with the Spanish Netflix show “La Cocinera de Castamar.” Have you done a list based on names from Spanish shows?
I loveee Spanish /Latin names ! I have a Julianna and Emilio
Been waiting for this all day , found in pregnant with baby no 3 and seriously struggling on boy names 💙💗
Congrats!
We're expecting our first baby March 5, 2022! I have always loved names but am struggling with naming an actual human being now! I love vintage names and have been loving all of your videos. Thank you for all of the wonderful ideas!
I'm due March 6th! (This is my 4th) congratulations!
I love vintage names that don’t feel too stale. I just named my girl twin Edie
SAME. We have the same due date! I hope you are past the nausea 🥰. I am hoping for March 3rd though, as it would have been my grandma's 100th birthday.

I love watching these video's it is so fun! Eventhough I'm not having a baby anytime soon and will propably not be able to use like 99% of these since I want a name that sounds great my language as well. But is is still so interesting to watch haha
Been watching religiously since starting TTC over two years ago. It’s part of my 28-day ritual now. This wasn’t the month, again. It’s out 1st & will be a 🌈 child, and will have years of research behind its name. I don’t have a mother and my MIL is anti-children, so it’s nice to be able to have a weekly chat about names.
Marigold or Evalena or Arabelle for a girl, and Alfred or Shepherd for a boy will be our first Williams family child.
You’re having a rainbow baby? How about Reign Beau? Literally spells out rainbow so the meaning is so deep and lovely, and both names are very cool. They’re both gender neutral names too xx
I love Marigold (Goldie) and Alfred (Freddie)
Shepard or arabelle
i absolute love the girl name arabelle never heard of it until i saw this comment so unique so cute
Lennan I like - never thought I would. Great meaning 😊
Also loving Hebrew names or Scottish names at the moment so love Ezra and a lot beginning with E oddly which already on my list 💞 I don't think I could have Hopper as love rabbits and seen as obsessed so would get so much stick if called my child that from friends and family!! 😂😂🤣
Also love your hair SJ 😍 like the length and waves 😊
This is absolutely my favorite list of boys names of all time. My heart fluttered for almost all of them. Nixon would be out, here in the US. ROFL 🤣
“I am not a crook!”
@@mippettes LOL
Nixon and Lyndon for boys. They won’t be crooks…
I love Elio but pronounced with more focus on the el- sound than the -li like in the movie Call Me By Your Name
Exactly what I thought, especially that all the Spanish names have their accent on the second-last syllable.
I love the name Soleil, and think if you had boy/girl twins, Elio would be cute with it :)
I love the name Arthur and i feel like it’s so popular because of multiple tv/movie characters with the name 🤗
I'm naming my son Arthur but I live in the states where its really not all that popular. Something like 176 in the popularity charts so not completely unheard but not commonplace. Its considered a bit of a vintage name that's rarely used now. My mom's first complaint about it (she still doesn't like it) was I was naming him like an old man instead of a baby.
@@mustangrose it’s not very common here in ireland either but it’s not unheard of since we’re so close to britain. i get that it’s traditional name but for me i think of it as a name for handsome young men just from watching tv shows 😂😂
I love E-names so much! 🥰
Could you make a nicknames video? Love the name Madeline (Mad-uh-line) but hate the nickname Maddy or Mads, thank you!
i love both the name Adrian and Fabian, i think they're lovely, unique names :)
I love Fabian ❤️
Love your videos 😍 we fell in love with the name Vaeda after my girl as it was my favourite childhood film even though its spelt Vada in the film. We are having a boy but are still using it. Upon research it used to be a boy name. We are naming him Vaeda Moon 🌜💙
I had a boy last year. I named him Finn Wilder, I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on it.
Love the name Navy but for a girl! I’ve followed a family on insta who have twin girls called Stella and Navy and I’ve loved the name since
Love Elio!
Name enthusiast and mom to be, due Feb 2022, and we like unique first names and use more common for the middle spot but one of our boy names are on here :( and it was definitely one of my top contenders....eek.
Ren reminds me of Kevin Bacon's character Ren McCormack in Footloose!
Percy kind of reminds me of Pacey like from Dawson’s Creek. I wonder if that’s being used at all
Percy reminds me more of Percy Jackson
@@kennemedia01 ah yes, that too, but I haven’t read that book
I think Percy for me is a definite no way. It’s an old mans name and doesn’t sound nice at all. I’m very surprised it made a come back. It’s almost as bad as the girls name Ethel 😅 but we all like what we like I guess

I am adopting a baby being born in February, and I am looking for ALL the boys names! :) I feel pretty settled with girl names, but am at a loss with boys as I like traditional, but not too common. Since my last name is two syllables, I would love either a 1 or 3+ syllable for the first name. The name also has to go with Mark as it's my dad's name, and will be the middle name if it's a boy (I don't know the gender yet). Theodore and Oliver are my favorites right now but I'm not settled for sure. I love these videos and will be watching ALL of the boy ones!
Also Ren like Kylo Ren, the Star Wars antagonist!
I love Ren! And Nixon is one of my favorite names 😍 I like it spelt Nyxon because Nyx means night and I love that!
I loved Eli for a boy but my husband pointed out that Eli is the name given to a-holes in soo many different media things. After that I was a bit put off lol. I do love Ellis and Ezra too, both were on my boy name list.
My friend Nikki has a son called Nixon! So cute! 💜
Perfect to go with her name! Love it!
I started writing a script years ago and decided all my characters would have common nicknames and have obscure long names, and I’ve seen so many of them pop up this year!
Damaris = marz (my main male character)
Deimos = mo or D (male)
Atlas = Lassie (my main female character)
Pandora = Dora (my main villain)
2017/ 17 year old me was ahead of the trends.
I like Nay-vie or Nayvie (I believe it means “now” in Vietnamese)
Jeriko 🔥
I know a female Jericho. She’s in her mid 40s.
@@MsBianca78 I love that!
We named our son Nixon! My husbands name is Nicholas, so it just made sense. We've never met anyone with that name before. :)
My dad is a Basil! He goes by Baz mostly ☺️
Most likely going to use Nixon as a middle name for my boy due in October. Ever since I came across it 5 years ago with the meaning I thought it would be so cool to use since my husband's name is Nicolas
I really like Aziah for a boy (Zi for short).
Keedyn and Zenon so I could have Zi and Zen
That would be an amazing pairing x
My new little nieces name is Elliana Ren purposely that spelling after the lotus flower. She is the 4th girl and they all have a flower in their name.
What do u think of Adessalie pronounced. Adessa-lee. Adessa or dess/dessi for short.
I also like Amelle for a girl as well as Synaia or synella the thing is I want the nickname Syn as I think it’s really cool for a girl but don’t know what could be the full name
I think Adessalie is gorgeous!
You could have Sindra or Lucinda or Sinead
Hope you’re not Christian with a baby called “sin” :)
@@adelaidewendel1021 atheist. I think it sound so cool and I can imagine a really chilled and beautiful girl
I was going to be Freddie Arthur! Sadly it didn't end up like that
And I LOVE the name Graham…
I really like Ezra for a girl. Nickname could be Rory, Ez, Z, or Izzy/Ezzie. Same with Ellis but one of my nn is Elle which is a bit too similar.
Ezra is a total boy name to me.
I'm due a baby and I'm really struggling for boy names as I'm a teacher and all the nice unique ones I've heard before. The surname will be Miller and I love alliterative names if anyone can recommend any? Thanks 💕
Micah Miller :)
Love the Name Bo when pronounced bow, not boo… is that a Swedish pronunciation?
We're still trying to come up with a name for baby boy #3 due in November. We haven't fallen in love with anything yet (I was hoping for a girl so had a long list of girl names but im kind of stumped for boys 🤣).
Big brothers are Samuel Louis and Elliott Davis.
Last name starts with D.
Meanings are also somewhat important to us, but not necessarily a deal breaker.
Some names we've discussed include August, Asher, Ellis (but it's too similar to Elliott), Grayson, Micaiah, Miles...
But we're kind of just on the fence about them. Miles kind of stood out to us, but neither of us is totally sold on it.
Any suggestions??? 😁
I just heard of the name "Beaudry"...Louis L'Amour featured a "Bowdrie" in his cowboy novels. It's similar to the popular Brody and Bhodi so doesn't sound weird, but I've never heard it used! I couldn't use it cuz I had a girl 🤪 good luck to y'all!
You've got some really nice ones picked out, Asher and August are both so nice. If you both like Miles but aren't set on it as a first name, I think it could be a cute middle name. Or maybe Milo because it's similar to Miles?
Others that I feel like have similar vibes to the ones you're considering: Micah, Owen, Emmett, Theo, Levi, Everett, Archer, Simon, Max, Leo, Felix, Ethan, Avery, Hudson, Nolan, Logan, Graham, Bennett, and Reuben.
Samuel, Elliott, and Augustas rolls off the tongue. Auggie for short. Best of luck!
@J Cohrs Yes, Milo has floated around in my head too. It could def be a contender for sure! We picked Samuel specifically for its meaning after our struggle with infertility :) I like the meaning of both our kids names and Milo has a great meaning too 😀
Unfortunately Nixon will never not make me think of Richard Nixon so it's a hard no for me, but I totally understand why it might appeal to others, especially people who don't live in the US.
Same
I relate, because I hear people in USA using Thatcher as a first name. That doesn't work in the same way in the UK. Margaret Thatcher didn't do her first name any favours, either. Thatcher is definitely not a name I like to hear...! Or Blair...!
@@paulapoetry Exactly! Admittedly Thatcher does always make me think of Margaret Thatcher though too, but it definitely doesn't hit the same way because it's not close to home.
Elio is popular probably because of the movie Call Me By Your Name 😊
Arthur, Basil, Percy and Atlas 😘
Saw this girl’s name on a dad’s Instagram and wondering how to pronounce. Otti…and wondering if it is short for Ottilie. How to pronounce that name too. Maybe you can say. Thanks!
I love the name Ezra
Wooo, definitely 1st the best (I my opinion) Elio 💚 never met an Elio
Lennan for a girl! 🥰🥰

I’m due a baby boy in two weeks!! My partner and I just can’t decide on a name! I have a long list that are all too “whacky”. For years we loved Elijah, but it had such a boom at the beginning of the year. I work with babies and have worked with children for so many years so I really struggle as a lot of names I can associate with a child that I’ve looked after. The only other name we quite like is Reginald (Reggie/Reg). His surname will be Ellis if not I’d so use it as a first as it’s been one of my favourites for so long! I just want something different but not too out there. He has Irish family and I have Scottish heritage and I came across Lochlan/Lachlan (Lockie) for short but my partner thinks he’d get bullied. My partners name is Derry, which I love as I’d never heard the name before and I would so use it but he isn’t into the idea of naming our son after him. I would like it to have a cute meaning too! I love the meaning for Reginald. Any help would be appreciated!!
Congratulations! I'll give you the name Terron (Teh-rahn) It means 'earthman' but I would thought of it as a down to earth name. As you mentioned your partner's name is Derry, maybe you could use Terry as an alternative for Derry ^^
I know a little boy named Terron from my mom's kindergarten, when i first heard his name, "oh gosh this is such a handsome name!" I thought to myself. In my country Terron isn't a common name yet, so he's the first one I've ever heard
Stick with Elijah. The classics will always stand.
Love Lachlan! Beaumont may also be a name you like. Best of luck!

We’re expecting a baby boy in December and his name will be Sylvester 💙💚
Hi SJ! I'm due in August with my first baby! I am having a boy and my husband and I just can't decide on a name. Our top names for his first name is Henry and Kit. I would love to use the name Ellis for his middle name, but it doesn't feel like it goes with Kit. So, any help on names would be AMAZING!
What about a more formal name and using Kit as a nickname? The first one that came to mind for me is Beckett, but Kit is also apparently traditionally a nickname for Christopher. A few others that maybe aren’t as obvious options: Frederick or Roderick.
Another option would be to give him your husband’s first name and then call your son Kit instead.
Good luck! Naming babies is hard!
Nathan Ellis
Anton Ellis
Clayton Ellis
Noah Ellis
Charles Ellis
Christopher Ellis
Theo Ellis
Artie Ellis
Would you consider the name Christopher as Kit is a fairly common nickname for Christopher. I think that Christopher Ellis sounds great. Hope this helps!
I also think that these names sound good with Ellis as a middle name:
- Sebastian Ellis
- Theodore Ellis
- Benjamin Ellis
- James or Jamie Ellis
- Dorian Ellis
North Ellis
Artic Ellis
Atticus Ellis
Carter Ellis
Christian Ellis
Keaton Ellis
I hope these helped! Maybe you could give him 2 middle names, eg: Atticus Ellis Henry (your surname here) 🙂
I love Kit Ellis! It reminds me of a actor’s name or author. Like a 1920s flair~
Hi I am so stuck I am having a rainbow baby boy in just 4 week and dnt no what to call him any help
Do you think Ellis and Silas are too similar? Hunting for boy #2 names and Ellis is up there for me but I'm not sure how they sound together. Our last name is McLeod
I personally love them both together!
Too similar
You could always go Elliot instead of Ellis
I actually think they sound really good together!
I met a boy at school called Nicks (can't remember spelling 🤔) hadn't heard before met (I think he was only there for about 2 yrs if that, yr 7 + 8) anyway, never met another (just my random fact from these names)
My grandson is 2 he's called Hunter xx
Love this list, except in America and most likely Canada as well, we wouldn't pronounce Elio El-leo, we would pronounce it El-lee-o.
She is gorgeous and needs to be a supermodel
I’m due in Jan and we decided on Vaeda for a girl (vay-da) and Oliver for a boy but we don’t know the gender yet. Middle name will be Bleu for either one.
Beautiful girls name and even more gorgeous on the middle name too for boy or girl. Oliver is extremely common though 😞 have you thought about Bleu as a first name for a child?? It’s a brave choice but it’s sooo cool! X

I just realised your name is Shelby.. didn’t you want to name the bubs a trendy unique name like yours? Or is he named after a family member?
@@Shade44Grove i live in the states where its not a common name anymore but my boyfriend and I both love classic old fashioned names and had both liked Arthur. His middle name is my father's name.
