Yah I didn’t even make the final boss my first run
He is a very experienced rogue like gamer, and he also got the best progress combo.
Only time I completed a run was heal on crit.
idk, i rarely play these types of games and made it all the way to that root mini-boss on my first attempt. I do think the swordsman is the easiest class though
You can cook meat for extra heals with fire attacks, but make sure not to hit it again or it will overcook. The pie can be cut up with any sharp weapon into slices for extra heals. You can get the pie by cooking an apple.

You are so good at this game. I played it in early access and took many runs to beat the first boss, then the second miniboss, then the second boss, then the third miniboss, then the 3rd boss.
I also played co-op with 2-4 players including my wife and some noobs. The game is MUCH harder with more people. Not only is there more stuff going on, but there are more enemies, and they have more health. It used to be 4 times the health, but they fixed that after I complained because I was carrying my teammates, and each player was fighting separate enemies anyway.
But the fact that you got that far in ONE run is insane. Even Northernlion didn't play that well.
My brother and I play this game all the time. Love this game.

You get bonuses for playing faster, that's why all that stuff is around. You choose to get gold or get the "speed run" bonus.

This is such a fun game to watch, Meta progress seems a bit sad but it seems like you could get all of them fairly fast with a couple of completed runs, would love to see more
Look at your stats if you can by pressing tab, just knowing your damage can be useful. The gem color corresponds to the stat color in the menu. The shop can be refreshed but increases in cost to refresh each time you do, so only refresh when needed. The sword has extra crit chance and damage every third attack, you can tell when your attack turns yellow.
The extra crit is a whole bonus 25 percent so just think of every nine attacks as a crit
Hello retro, i loved the video and i hope you make a series of this game !!!!! i have played it´s demo so i will leave some tips and other things here (hope they´re useful)
1-every boss can be stunned doing certain things.
--the first boss (Skrixxa Za) can be stunned if you atack it from behind when his back his glowing, but you have to be careful, if you dont kill him he will do an special atack where he falls from the ceilling (kinda like in minute 13:40) and rise spikes from the ground.
--for the second boss (Lord Bruma) you have to make him hit a pillar while he does the shield atack (like in minute 24:08)
--for the third boss (phantom) you have to breack the cages? (i dont know what they are) when he´s healing (you did it in minute 38:04)
2-if you are fighting only one enemey with the chakram you can hit it to make ricochet back to the enemy (im not really sure about this one xd)
3-you can unlock other colors for your knight if you see the symbol that appears in minute 43:10 try using you´r abilityes.
4-if you have a fire ability/atack you can use it on food to cook it and it will regenerate more life.
I hope this tips can help you if you continue playing it and i apologyze if i had some grammatical errors i learned english by myself so i´m not that good at it.

The chakram can ricochet off you but it needs a certain distance to do so(btw doesn’t deal damage when it does). The bomb can blow up the waterfalls to unlock customization for the ember knight and gives bonus ember when you unlock it like all Easter eggs. You can view the Easter egg menu by scrolling past in the book. The sign the appears in the shop, (at some point), can be destroyed for extra gold every time and shows up on every run. It’s also an Easter egg so extra ember. When attacking the spider boss on its final phase, attack it’s glowy back to stun it for a good chunk of time.
Honestly cool looking game would love to see more!
Ayy nice, this game has come a long way. Hope you'll try it in coop too.
I won't give away many secrets (there are a TON of cool interactions in this game) but here are 2. 1) The waterfall (and other places) can be opened by hitting them with a certain abilities. 2) If you hit meat with a burning attack, you'll cook the meat (which heals for more)

I see the meta progression like what they do in FPS games where at the end of every run you get XP that allows you to get better weapons. Yeah, you can win with the starter gear, but you do better the more you play.

That armor you found was busted. Definitely made it seem like an easy run.
Hopefully there is some form of ascension to balance the meta-progress. Looks like a fun game tho, I would love to at least see an episode for each weapon

No one is playing this, but it’s actually good
If you lure lord bruma into ramming a pillar they will be stunned for a duration. The horn in the ice rooms raise damage for a bit after you use them. Damage refers to weapon attacks, skill to abilities, and precision to crit. All money things have a shiny hue and it stays constant throughout the worlds.
Btw just dash down the middle when bruma does the sword attack, rolling has a cooldown so just try to get value out of it.
it looked like you could swap meta progression items so it might be made in a way that you have to choose which one to run.

Just noticed they lowered the third boss by a lot by removing its Kamehameha move that made it the hardest boss even though it wasn’t the final one
Yeah, I was thinking the same. I remember dreading that attack.
Oh, they did remove that, didn’t they? That’s almost too bad, I enjoyed the moment when I finally learned to dodge that properly.

Seems a bit too easy but I played lots of Isaac, Gungeon, Undermine, and Hades. With those games, there's no way you're getting that far on the first run let alone second 3rd or 4th lol. The visuals look great and combat seems smooth but needs more mechanics/content and kinda seems like a "my first roguelite" typa game
