    Wow, Kathleen! I really enjoyed your video! You have so many great organization ideas! I have often thought that I need a file cabinet. I think that is a perfect way to organize paper and books. So many things you have shared I totally relate with like the small plates with trinkets on your table just because you enjoy to look at them. I do the same thing. 😁 I also love to collect rocks and beautiful pieces of nature. Thank you for sharing you space with us. 💕

    This collab has really been helpful. You and a few others have made me realize that I was not using my space in an efficient way. In particular, my file drawers. I am in the process of tossing out old, paid bills and putting all of my craft papers in their place. So much more efficient. Thank you for sharing your ideas. Much appreciated!

    I have been looking for one of those larger file cabinets but only found the 2 drawer ones😕 I had collected those trolls until my house got broke into and all stolen 😢 I wish I could hang my laces like you do, but not a good idea with a playful cat around 😛 I took my closet doors off a year or so ago also and wow what a wonderful difference it makes. I painted inside the closet a sea moss green(?) and now want to paint my whole studio that color instead of this awful dark brownish yellow that was apparently in style a couple decades ago. I am so jelly of all of your wallpapers you have. I have none 😞 I got rid of what I had 2 summers ago (before I started making junk journals. I really enjoyed your Studio Tour. Maybe someday when I'm finished re-doing my studio I will be brave enough to do a tour?!?! I think I will have to check out this challenge and view the other studios.

      Thanks for all your thoughts Joan! Finally getting this studio organized was such a big deal for me - it just took forever to figure out how to organize trash. My husband said it’s like trying to organize the dump, haha. After more than a year, it still works very well. But I’ve added things, naturally, and honestly need to sort that larger file cabinet to make room and get stuff put away again. We found it at a thrift store and I was so thrilled, because it is an old fashioned, sturdy one. Such a blessing. Thanks for watching and I’d love to see your tour. Please let me know.

    Fantastic ways of organizing all the stuff! I noticed the dies on the back of your filing cabinet. But how did you magnetize your lamp to hold the paper clips? Love your little plates for storing oddities and leftovers, the baskets for the yarn, and--fabulous idea--the book weight. Good ideas! Also love your bookbinding kit. OMG I LOVE your room, you've made such great use of your small space. I got a ton of ideas from seeing this. My number 1 thing for me is to rework my filing cabinet. I've wondered where to store my usable papers, that right now are in boxes. Since I have 2 etsy stores, 1 is a book store and the other is a JJ supply store (also where I sell my journals) most of my supplies are in my garage in boxes. I am also gathering ideas for when I move next, and having dresser type things and book cases seem like something I want to have. Thank you so much for the tour it really was very inspirational for me!! Hugs * L

      Oh I am so glad to give you some ideas and best wishes for success in your space also! What a challenge to organize for a store! I remember doing inventory for my aunt's craft store 50 years ago and counting googly eyes and chenille stems, pompoms and strings of beads. Thanks always for your support Leslie!

    I have never enjoyed a craft room tour as much. I am terrible at organizing because I have trouble categorizing. I also don't have a real room to use, just a small area of my living room. Hopefully when I move to a place with an extra room it will get better. I thought I had way too much stuff! But no where near as much as you. So if you can do it, I'm sure I can if I push myself.

      I know! Louise! I have a lot of stuff, haha. Thank you for watching. It’s been a little over a year and I did a kind of “get things straightened up” session in January of this year. But, I’m happy to report that this system is really working well for me now. Keep working at it! Thanks so much for watching.

    You sure have done a wonderful job. I’m not sure where you live but I will buy you a ticket for you to come help me 👍🤩🥳 I have no idea what a snippet roll is. I am gradually getting the idea.

      Thank you so much Wanda! You are so kind, but it’s really my daughter-in-law that you need, haha. I hope you saw the other organization videos where I explain how I finally learned what I needed to do. Here’s a link to the first, where I explain the plan. What are the advantages of having a glass matt?

    • @BeAgainBooks
      @BeAgainBooks  Před rokem

      Great question Andrea! I used to have the Ranger silicone mat and liked using that, but I had to tape it down and it wore out quickly…maybe I’m just hard on it, haha. Also, things from around the desk would easily migrate onto the mat and I was constantly pushing them away from the wet stuff. I still have the other mat around and use it occasionally, but I really like having the glass mat because it stays put and it cleans up so easily. Also it sits up just a bit from the desk surface and so other papers don’t get pushed onto it as easily, so the work space stays a little more clear of other desk papers just sitting around. I thought I would like the printed measurements, but I find that I don’t use the measurements. I do use the lines, in general ways, but I find it easier to just use a ruler to measure. I just really like how well the glass cleans up with all the mixed media stuff I like to use. It makes it really handy to “smoosh” ink and paint, which I do all the time and then a quick swipe with a baby wipe clears the space again. Those are my thoughts, hope that helps - I think it’s worth the money, if you have the room on your desk.

    Great organization but hope you have cloth across the top of your lids on buttons instead of the flat. Buttons need to breathe or they will deteriorate. I know I lost several

      Yes some put off a chemical and can ruin others. I had this problem with moms antique buttons
