Devon offered the same opportunity to Ermes and Jerry, too. I don't believe Devon was trying to fight with Denis when Denis isn't ready or make Denis look bad for saying no on short notice. It was an opportunity in the slim chance Denis was fit and ready. There are also a lot of language barriers in the communication, which is a shame. I hope to see them both friendly and clear with each other in November, no matter the outcome, as most armwrestling fans respect both guys.

I really like Denis, but that's a ridiculous reason to get that mad at somebody. Devon didn't mean anything bad by that. He didn't force him & he knew he wasn't ready. Devon fought many times when he was not ready. That's why he asked. Denis could've just said no and that would be that. I find Denis being this mad over such a trivial thing really childish. Let's not forget that Denis was asking for a right handed match with Denis for 20 years, and he never got it. So he accepted the left handed one, despite it being his weak hand. There is a difference between supermatch and tournament....They aren't the upcoming stars, neither they have to achieve anything that has to do with multiple tournament awards,... All of em r experienced with a lot of achievements, now they r competing for the world no1 spot... And the way supermatch style is created to determine the world no1 or top 10 spots, it is inevitable one would take time to prepare n condition himself for the exact opponent he is facing, so they usually take 4 or 5 months,,, but sY if the opponent got injured in training(like Levan) and the ideal match ups aren't there and even if some ideal match ups are there according to top 10 ranking, they again will ask for time of 3 or 4 months as they are not ready for the same individual for supermatch.. In my opinion, the sport of arm wrestling is entering a very dangerous path for the future if an athlete can not compete because he has a match in 10 months. If that will be the future arm wrestling is doomed.
There is a difference between supermatch and tournament....They aren't the upcoming stars, neither they have to achieve anything that has to do with multiple tournament awards,... All of em r experienced with a lot of achievements, now they r competing for the world no1 spot... And the way supermatch style is created to determine the world no1 or top 10 spots, it is inevitable one would take time to prepare n condition himself for the exact opponent he is facing, so they usually take 4 or 5 months,,, but sY if the opponent got injured in training(like Levan) and the ideal match ups aren't there and even if some ideal match ups are there according to top 10 ranking, they again will ask for time of 3 or 4 months as they are not ready for the same individual for supermatch.. And this drags it to to 8 or 9 months, or even 10 as u mentioned

Also, Devon's done more matches this year (at least 10 matches so far in 2023), which means Devon has more experience than Denys. So far, Denys' only official match **this year** was against John Brzenk and John is already 59 years old. Anybody that's in heavyweight class would've won against John either 6-0, 6-1,2,3, or 4

It's truly saddening to see a legend like Denis calling a cycle "training". Can he not just be low dose/hrt and "train" all the time? It's really disrespectful to think of the sport as just the drugs you take. The amount of growth hormone this guy has used over the years would blow your mind. He literally takes a dosage high enough for acromegaly. That is massive. We're talking 20IU's a day at least. That coupled with test, tren, dbol and god knows what else. These types of mass monsters way overdo it and ruin the integrity of the sport. Levan is the same way. Larry Wheels who juices beyound comprehension was even suprised at Levan's drug stack.
