Feeanshu is making total sense. Keerat, nobody else will be this transparent with you about the changes that will happen after adopting a dog. I’m working with an airline and there are lots of restrictions regarding the countries, breed of dog and time of the year when you can’t take your pets. You need to make the decision after weighing all the options, and not emotionally. You are a very strong couple and Keerat is a very understanding girl. I’m sure you guys will handle this very well ❤️❤️

It’s extremely commendable that you guys are having such a mature and responsible conversation. Only pets parents/animal lovers can connect to this vlog. We have recently become pet parents and yes our lives have taken a complete 360 (for the good). We love ❤️ her and she is our cute little kid. Guys lelo, u guys will be an excellent pet parents. Everything else will workout. The more you think 💭 the more it will become over complicated.
This is the exact conversation I had with Rahul back in 2021 when we had Toby. For sure having Pet changes your life. Dog guilt is real. Feanshu is right in every aspect. Traveling does get restricted. Like for example, I am in Vancouver at the moment and we planned to bring Toby with us in Cabin but last minute nahi ho paya :(
Thankfully, we could leave him with someone we trust last minute but mujhe pata maine kitni royi royi ki.
So yeh life changes but also for good. It’s actually getting married lol
I am so happy for you both for embracing this new phase and even though travel might be restricted in some aspect but there will also be new horizons you will discover.

Feanshu is correct . Having dogs are almost like having kids. Keerat behaves like little child, when she wants something she doesn’t not listen the brain only heart. It’s not Zara clothing hall you can go return it if you change your mind.

It’s good u hv open discussion.I have a dog and I’m living in Canada and having a dog is same like having a child.All the points u have placed is100% right and practical. But leaving them alone is a big guilt and daycare and boarding is not worth. i think u guys hv each other support u guys can do it. We travel with a german shepherd on long trips, most of the hotels accommodate dogs. Traveling with dogs in flights cost 200$ . At times we have to leave him for 4-5 hours. They are very adaptable.
This is a very healthy and mature discussion. My partner and I decided to have a dog and our lives are changed for the better. You need to plan ahead and it'll be a change from all the spontaneity. But we travel and do everything, either we take her with us or leave her with a trustworthy dog sitter who adores her. I don't know why I delayed this decision. Do it!

Hey Feanshu we adopted two dogs and I can tell you from experience that it’s not as bad as you think. You can still travel and do whatever you want to do. You just need to find good dog sitters who can take care of your dog when you’re gone. The only thing is that dog sitters can be expensive at times if you’re traveling for a longer period of time. But again, if you have a small dog, you can always travel with them specially road trips!! We have two Pitbulls and we have rented an RV and traveled with them and we have also taken them in our car and camped out so it’s not bad. Trust me!
Dogs/cats are pets when you have backend support to look after your pets ..this is added responsibility. ..dogs may not like being in pet shelter for long periods....you will need to look for friends who are ready to take care of your pet responsibly...fufu is right and I relate with all his points...coz my sister n neice have a dog a burnese doodle...and my neice have few friends who may be willing to care of the for few days .... countries require 6 months quarantine arriving at their ports and airports

I have a suggestion for you Try to book round flight from New York to Mumbai in this route you get cheapest flight even in 40k one way if you book early from emirates. I don’t know about charges of pet. That’s one flight option you guys should consider too.

I agree with Feanshu dogs are a big responsibility. You are like us, our son brought a dog now he had a son , baby was having allergy with dog dander. so dog is with us. Most of camping places, hotels, restaurants dont allow pets. Also we had such bad experience keeping our dog in dog care, she used to get sick whenever she used to be there. Keerat think before leap.

Hi sweet people, this is just so emotional decision, I understand both of you, but honestly Chiku is a responsibility. Idk if my experience will help you guys, but keerat when we took our pup in 2018 I was studying in uk and we had family who take care, but my parents travelled to Dubai and we had to leave him with my grandma but when we all came back to india, my dog got very attached to us because he missed us, even though every month my mom use to travel but now he has become so attached that he becomes so sad when either me or mom isn’t , and now my life is just surrounded with them, hard to travel but it’s never impossible. Just wanted to convey my experience, but feanshu your very true with your experience, I feel when your planning baby that’s good time because you won’t be travelling, but again it’s your decisions and can’t wait to see what’s your decision, and can’t wait for chiku ❤

You can have a pet when you have a little bigger house and when your parents come, when you have children your life will change. Yes, sure you can have a pet later on in your life. I agree with Feanshu, we have a dogs and 1 toddler. We dont have any family in the city we live. We have family in different states. Everytime we have to go somehwere, we have to pay so much for dog boarding. Our dog is older now, shes a great dane and 10. Its hard but cant give her away now because shes been with my husband her whole life. But i wont get a dog for a while after her. Its very hard to plan anything.

Its a lot of work and sacrifice to have a pet.. This can be done after a few years also.. You have a lot of freedom right now. After baby as it is your life will change drastically so think 100 times before committing. You both like to travel . First fulfil your dreams - travel , party and then settle for a pet or a baby.

Getting a pet at home is a blessing. I have Lab who is 2 years now and we are in Australia. We even plan trips and at that time we leave him at the pet sitter who is an Angel. Even if i have to go for a party at friends house i make sure food water and his toys are available for him so that he can play after we leave. Your life will change for sure but for good xoxo

This is my first comment on this channel but i couldnt stop myself sharing some insights based on my experience. I am like Keerat who has been dying to get a dog but bcz me and my family love to travel we decided to become a dog sitter thru Rover. We have been doing this for the last 4 months and just loving it.. trust me its a huge responsibility to have your own dog as it really limit your travel plans. Rather try dog sitting

A good discussion, your life changes completely ,its like having a baby that never grows…i have a pet to but in Dubai , so i have help so when I travel,he takes care ….Its not only flights lots of paper work and money is also required to bring ur dog to india and take him back to canada…also need to consider vet bills

we are in a similar phase, applied for cat adoption and may get someone in the coming weeks. Although my husband is not that fond of pets, but agreed to have one unless I do all the work :p lol So, that's the reason I want a cat as it's less maintenance than a dog.

But why pet owners want other people who are animal phobic for what so ever reasons to behave normally around pets ????
We have been offended 100s of times on airports, markets, public places etc etc when pet owners really made our time miserable
My kids and I, we love animals but from a distance
Any animal coming closer to us latterly gives us death … we are scared and this should be taken normally as keeping animals like “human babies” is normal
But …. 😔😔😔😔
During our previous vacations in Georgia, some pet owners really felt bad that we were scared of their dogs and they opened their collars and purposely let them attack us
We had to call the police finally because I prefer my HUMAN children over dogs and I can’t see them crying and hiding of fear 😨…
It is a humble request to all pet owners out there … Please take care of people around you
If you feel comfortable with your pet, it is not necessary that everyone does !!!
Don’t make other people feel ashamed in the public !
Also with dog,u need to get insurance,get it spayed,u cannot take it to every store
