this is a short review of Esp 8266 - 01 single channel wifi module.
here is a problem-solving solution if your Esp 01 relay module is not working.
I found a problem on this board when working with it. in this video, I clearly discuss how to solve the problem of this esp 01 single channel relay module.

My relay is labeled "SRD-03VDC". So I have to connect only 3v to VCC of the module right?

This is my assumption but while designing pcb someone added resister pads for smd switch and and nobody corrected it , that r2 pad supposed to be boot button

Sure.. you can program it using Arduino ide. You can use esp8266 nodemcu which is upgraded version of this. This module for IoT based project so operation app depends on your IoT platform
