Watching from central Michigan for 6 reasons. 1. Shopping for plants is one of my favorite activities. 2. Early in the spring I can get an idea what new varieties are coming before the plant nurseries are open here by watching people shopping in the south. 3. I like to learn more about houseplants because I know less about them than about outdoor garden plants. 4. I love hearing about the heat in Texas while enjoying our lovely 60-80 degrees!😂 5. My husband and I are also coleus-aholics. Over 60 coleus plants right now. 6. I can grow English ivy - usually! 3 varieties right now. Pests don’t seem to be as big a problem on them here.🤞🏻

Wow! This Calloways is just as beautiful as the other ones that were featured. They too have so many gorgeous plants and flowers. Loved the Purple Heart Plant and the many varieties of Caladiums and Coleus plants. So vibrant and colorful. And yes I love the water fixtures as well. The sound of flowing water brings a sensation of peace and tranquility. But yes I always love seeing all the basic plants as well. They are just as beautiful as the rare and hard to find plants. At 15:12 I. This video… you featured the plant I was trying to ID!! I bought it years ago with no ID. I just thought it was some kind of succulent.🤣 it’s a desert rose! I had been doing everything wrong for the poor thing but watched some videos, cut it back, repotted and propagated the cuttings! Praying it survives my ignorance!!❤

The succulents you get from the store are usually grown under greenhouse condition or under a shade cloth and not under direct sunlight. Once you get the succulents home you have to gradually introduce them to direct sunlight if you intend on keeping them under that condition.
The purple shield is my plant that I’ve brought time and time again and it simply just dies.. Breaks my heart every single time and yet I continue to purchase it..
@@growfolds before thrips set in… it was in my kitchen right by a humidifier and the variegation was about 60% of the plant(just like when I ordered it) but since I moved all my plants outside… it is a lot more green than variegated. I can’t leave it in full TX Sun because it will just dry up and burn up. I think if you kept it in a lot of light inside and by a humidifier it would do a lot better.
