They used to nickname these hairless guinea pigs skinny pigs.
@@furbl4345 I know that I got a little dog just like that . Bella ❤️
@@adrianahinestrosa3518 You should adopt a skinny pig to meet Bella 🥰
So many !! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼♥️♥️♥️
So good to see him doing so well now with better care. He's cute. He sure is eating heaps, it's great to see his appetite and hopefully his condition will improve from better care. Resilient little fella. Looks happy now. Love from Australia.
They used to call this breed Skinny Pigs.
Joe Dirt aka Herman is a sweet kid. I'm glad he's starting to feel better.
He looks more like a Joey Bear! And he looks really happy now. It was good seeing him run and eat. Here's wishing you all the best.
So precious. Glad you could rescue them
Thank you for the hard work you do
A handsome pig
Longtime Scotty fan here, just wanted to thank you for the update on Joe and let you know that y'all at the LAGPR inspired my wife and i to one day adopt and foster piggies! We have always wanted to foster animals but guinea pigs are just so small and vulnerable; as soon as we're in a position to take some in we will! ❤
Thank you so much for that❤ my care guide should give you some extra tips and tricks to save time and money and give them the best care.
@@ScottysAnimals Thank you Scotty! The work you put into your guides and website definitely shows; they're so easy to navigate!
God Bless you Valerie for helping Joe get well and find a safe home, and for all you do for these Piggies.
Joe stole my heart, they all did but when I held him and saw how scared he was I knew I had to try to offer him some love.
That’s amazing!
Kudos to all of you ❤️
He doesn't look too bony. He's got that guinea pig potato body. Must have been eating something since you got him. I'm glad he seems happy and is curious about the new place. Hope he finds a good home.
Oh he has been eating non stop!
So wonderful all the money raised in such a short amount of time. Love all the piggie community.Thank you Val for taking Joe in. The difference from when we first saw him is amazing and know he has a lot of healing, but he just looks so relaxed and safe and what a piggie should be doing, eating hay, exploring and eating!
They just charge them with two counts of animal neglect. I just saw it. God bless you guys I would love to take Joe dirt he’s C sweet
Where did you see this? I’m trying to find where this was posted!
Poor sweet little Joe 😢 I’m glad he’s in a better situation.
Thank you so much Valerie for taking sweet little Joe Dirt home with you, he is so precious and once he finds his dream family will be so lucky to have him
Joe Dirt is definitely the 'mascot' of this particular rescue. Im sure hes feeling much better than he was being so picked on and neglected. I hope for every piggie to have a kind and safe home
Oh my word, look at little Joe, he's eating like a trooper, great to see! He looks so much happier already! Bless him. Thank you to ALL you beautiful souls for helping rescue all these precious piggies 💕💕💕
Yes he suffer a lot 😥😥😥😥
I am so grateful that Ann and her family saved so many piggies. I am also grateful for you Valerie, Scotty, Saskia, and everyone helping to put these piggies on the right path. You all warm my heart.
Thank you for all you do for these piggies, Valerie!
im so glad that he is doing better has the cutest little ears, thank you all
You are an angel as is Scotty!🙏
I gave as soon as I heard. I also have a nice shipment off the Amazon wish list due in this Friday. I live in SC and can't get there; I would really like to get Joe but health and distance forbids it.. I hope he gets a wonderful new home with all the love he needs. Thank you to Saskia and the wonderful volunteers.
Thank you to everyone for helping these sweet piggies!!! Joe already looks so much better!!!! Skinnies have a special place in my ❤️ I would take them all if I could!!! Keep up the amazing work! Those of us on the East Coast are wishing we could help more!!!
No wonder little Joe Dirt was traumatised! It's great to see how much he's adjusting to a safe life and good food, hopefully hell have the energy to popcorn soon! 💖
Wow, Thank You for rescuing them. 💕🐹🐹
He's looking so much better! Thank you for helping him, and thank Scotty and Saskia too. All of you are amazing! 🥰❤️🥰❤️🥰❤️🥰❤️
he gives me "civil war era general" vibes with the hairdoo. Kinda resembles a huge bushy mustache.
Joe is a beauty. 🥰
He’s so cute. You can tell he’s happy :) I love to help animals!
Thank you for taking such good care of Joe!❤❤ He is a real lovebug!!
Great to see joe a lot more happy and eating well hope he gets a nice new home that he deserves with the rest of piggies that were rescued 🎉🎉
he already looks so much better than in scottys vid, look at joe dirt go :)
❤❤🥰😘😘😘
Thanks so much for you're loving care. ❤
You all are so amazing, I wish nothing but the best of luck for all those piggies and if I wasn’t on the opposite side of the world I would so adopt Joe Dirt.
Thank you for all you have done ❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏
Is Joe shaking because he is scared? ❤
He was so scared the first night we met him and he couldn’t stop shaking. He’s much better now and has been purring and running around.
So mad
please give little Joe some cbd if you have not already….
He had some metacam to help reduce inflammation in that bad wound but he’s already feeling much better and more calm.
@@SoCalGuineaPigRescue I am so grateful to you all for the loving care you have given these poor abused animals!
When shaved I can see why it's called a Guinea Pig, with fur it doesn't make near as much sense.
Hi, they are not shaved, this is their breed
@@SoCalGuineaPigRescue Hmm seems like things are evolving to be hairless doesn't it? First people and now Cats and Guinea Pigs. I wonder if the more energy that goes into fueling brains leaves less of it to grow hair? Just a strange consideration.
@@jamesworley9888 it’s my understanding that hairless Guinea pigs along with other hairless animals were specifically bred to be used in animal testing. Then it sort of became trendy and desirable for pet owners to own hairless animals.
Hairless Guinea pigs require a bit more care and maintenance than their hairy cousins and can be harder for us to adopt out. Having said that, we think they’re adorable and worth the extra work 😊
