Yesung wasn't in the original song he was in military so this is was his first time performing this song , and he covered 2 main vocalist parts 🔥💙 ( Kyuhyun , Ryeowook ) who was in the military at SS7 time.

@@hallyureviewsus What amazing about super junior is Rapers and Sub vocalist are covering for main vocalist .. So for Kyuhyun and Ryeowook's parts in ss7 it's depend on the songs but all members are covering there parts .. so in SS7 was the most Shindong's line i ever heard .

It's probably an unpopular opinion, but it took me awhile to get used to this version. I love Yesung and his ad libs (one of my 2 biases), but for me, the Kyuhyun-Ryeowook-Kyuhyun build is the best part of the song and I can't quite get used to it without them. Another MV I hope you'll do at some stage after the concert series :)

As others have said, this song was originally released when Yesung was in the military. So in this version he is doing the parts that is normally Ryeowook’s and Kyuhyun’s parts. The song actually doesn’t have Spanish besides “mamacita” but it was definitely their first foray into the whole Latin sound though. For my money the best mamacita is still when Ryeowook returned from military and had a solo where he popped off. No one can belt them notes like he does 😅

Yes Yesung is still Super Junior members. he is one of the 3 main vocalists (Yesung, Kyuhyun, Ryeowook)
In Mamacita originally song, Yesung doesn't there because he was in the militarry services at 2014.
he known as King of Adlibs in Super Junior.
So this performances is what I needed, because we can hear his adlibs in this song (he covered Kyuhyun's and Ryeowook's part), that makes the song has differents sense from the original.
I love the original version too, because in the original I can hear Sungmin's and Kangin's voices and Kyuhyun's and Ryeowook's adlibs.
but for me, this version with Yesung is so special. 💙💙💙💙

"Mamacita" started out as a comic novelty song as a nod to their Latin fans, but it polarized the rest of the audience at the time. The MV is a parody of spaghetti westerns, and the song is a mix of Korean, Spanish and English.
But a few years later "Despacito" blew up globally, so SuJu decided to make serious Latin Kpop cross-over songs, "Lo Siento" and "Otra Vez", and they became hits not only in Latin America, so it became a kind of sub-genre. They also covered Luis Miguel's "Ahora Te Puedes Marchar" (which is a classic in Mexico, it is itself a cover of Dusty Springfield's "I Only Want To Be With You", and the mv is also very comedic).
In response BTS contributed a song to that trend as well, "Airplane Pt 2" (one of my fav songs and videos of theirs).
Yes! Latam ELF is a really strong fandom! I have lots of ELF friends from Peru (my home country), Mexico and some from Argentina! So SJ is always recognizing the ELF there as well. Last year Siwon said something like "many people have the American dream, but SJ has the Latin American dream" that was really sweet, and Eunhyuk said he thinks of Latam every time he sees the moon, because it's the same moon! I just wish Europe ELF would be so great as well, we need to joint forces!!
@@-Pam I'm sure SuJu still has fans in Europe and the USA too, so no idea why they don't tour there anymore. I think SS4 included Paris and SS5 London. We feel left out. :(

I live in a small city in the South of France and I bought my lightstick at a Fnac (regular shop), I also bought some SJ albums in that shop so that means there is a demand, I just don't know where the other ELFs are hiding! I will report to the police and make "Missing ELFs" signs lol 🤣🤣🤣

Mamacita is one of my most fav concept as title songs where they wear uniformed outfits and eyeliners during promotions. And the vocals and adlibs are crazyyyy.. also love the choreography is so unique, sync and sharp. The MV is another whole story..

Yesung was not part of Mamacita album cause he was in Military that time,, if you watch the SS6 yesung is not there, So in SS7 Yesung covered most of the part of Kyuhyun and Ryeowook, the other 2 main vocalist. At the same time Sungmin and Kangin is in Hiatus at this time,, From 10 members on SS6,, it goes down 7 members on SS7. Another trivia,, If you Notice Siwons microphone have 2 colors, green and orange, that is the color of Sungmin and Kangin,, in early Super Show their microphone is color coded, each member have their own color, but starting SS7 they removed it,, Instead Siwon put the 2 colors for the missing member.
We love how the members constantly hold the space for each other. And Siwon honoring them with the colors on his mic might be one of the sweetest things ever 🥰
So, in SS7 only 7 members are present...the maknae line - Ryeowoo & Kyuhyun are in the military..This is SS7 in Seoul, the 1dt leg of the world tour..but in the middle, around 2018, Ryeowook was discharged & joined the group in Tokyo dome leg and so on ..
So, Mamacita was a comeback originally from 2014 whej Yesung was in the military..only 10 members partcipated in that comeback..hence, the "w/ Yesung"..also, if u encounter the Tokyo dome ver, it's tagged w/ Ryeowook coz finally he joins them in that leg.. also, Mamacita performance is after Scene Stealer, if u notuce the outfits..
..if u resume the order, after Girlfriend is This is Love (also, a 2014 comeback - repackage title of Mamacita album w/ no Yesung in original comeback)

Hey Mamacita!! one of the few words they know in Spanish! 🤣 Yes as they said, Yesung was not there for the original and to this day he can't get the choreo right...according to Kyuhyun (Yesung did make a mistake recently). The drama version is really funny and the Opera SS9 version was so fun as well, but the voices!!
Yes!!! that's me I'm a proud Cloud (or Yebbler)!! (Yesung is my bias)!! We represent him with a ☁ (because of his birth name, but he changed it) and with a 🐢(because he had 2 as pets).

If I remember correctly this song is about the people "fans" that left them and criticise them, and how they protect themselves and the shine of SJ, and they are stronger with those who love them... or something like that.
